Male Lions Wade Into Crocodile Infested Water To Get To Female Lion - Virtual Safari

  • The two Black Dam Male Lions have been making a bit of a name on Londolozi of late. After spending the morning deep in the Ndzhenga Males' territory, they walk towards the Sand River in response to the calls of a lioness who they had been trailing all morning.
As they arrive at the banks of the crocodile-infested Sand River, there is a huge herd of elephants drinking further downstream. Eventually after plucking up the courage, the male lions wade into the deep water and attempt to cross through. Presenting us with the most phenomenal view of the lions, elephants and scenery all in one frame. It doesn't get much better than that.

croc infested perhaps but not that part and the water is shallow enough for them to feel pretty confident.....lions are only at risk when there swimming and there feet are not touching the bottom.....they could also potentially be ambushed by a large croc while drinking but those are the only times.
