  • Elephant Refuge (2010): Daphne Sheldrick and the sanctuary keepers have been acting as an adoptive family to orphaned baby elephants for over 30 years, loving them and preparing the elephants for life back in the wild.

"Just like human babies, they want to be close to you, to be touched, to be comforted", Abdul Kashi, a keeper at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust says. And little wonder, as these gentle growing giants escape from the constant threat of poaching and drought. A lifetime's work by David Sheldrick's widow has ensured that the baby elephants have somewhere to grow strong. But while there are happy endings - one adult elephant enters the wild again - there are also deep underlying problems. Everyone at the Trust is worried about the decline in biodiversity in eastern Africa. "What you can see in the nursery is a microcosm of what is going on in the bush", explains Daphne. And the drought has ensured that their intake of orphaned elephants has doubled in the past year alone.

This organization is making me want to vomit 🤮🤮🤮. So do you all show 24 hour care to the starving orphan children in Kenya who 74% don't live until their 10th birthday due to starvation, lack of medical care, dirty water diseases, etc. Yet you choose to lay with an elephant and make sure a fifthy beasts is comforted and nurtured? You'd much rather provide 24 hour care to this ungrateful beast, than a human orphan probably raising younger siblings because a lot of parents are dead from Aids . How does someone rectify I their head turning a blind eye to little children dying by the thousands in the same geography, yet your concern is with some instinct driven beasts who doesn't have the capacity or moral agency to reinvest those values back in the community. I mean seriously how much health and happiness can it possibly take to wander around in circles for 40-70 years with your mommy grunting, snorting, and eating and destroying everything in your path? It doesn't sound too complicated to be an elephant and quite frankly they have got to be the most clumsy and stupid animals on earth . I'm not impressed, they are useless until humans train them to be productive.

JUST LOOK AT HOW THEY RESPOND TO LOVE 😃💕 🐘🍼🐘 AND THESE CUTE LITTLE BABY GIANTS NEED THE LOVING CARE OF A FOSTER MOTHER (TYPE) IN THIS CASE!!!... IT'S NEVER EASY SAYING GOOD BYE TO SOMEONE WHO IS NEAR AND DEAR TO YOU 😢 HOWEVER, THESE ORPHANED BABY ELLIES CAME IN WITH THE END GOAL OF RELEASING THEM BACK INTO THE WILD, SADLY!!!😢 BUT IT'S WHAT'S BEST FOR THEM!!! BESIDES, THEY NEVER FORGET!!!😊 AND WILL ALMOST ALWAYS RETURN TO THE PLACES THEY LOVE AND REMEMBER!!!💙🐘🐘🍼🍼💙🐘🐘🍼🍼💙💚🌳💦⛰️🌊😃👍🏽🙋🏽‍♀️🔥🙏🏽👑✝️📖🔥

An old friend raises baby birds who have fallen from the nest. Neighbors would bring them. Different birds take different diets and my friend learned to examine the bird poop to tell how well the food was being digested. Perhaps you have learned this already. Perhaps a master chef could taste mother elephant milk and suggest improvements in your elephant milk diet.
    God bless!
