The nurse at 13:26 seemed so lovely, gentle, caring, knowledgeable and putting you at ease. I hope one day if I have to have surgery to sort a disc, I have spondylitis in my bottom disc and maybe my scoliosis if it’s gets worse it’s at 38 degrees currently, both curves, I have a lovely nurse like him. You did so well Julia your so strong and u did it so proud of you. Send my love ❤🥰✨💖
Thank you for giving me comfort due to my Autisim I like to know what is coming and watching this video has given me so much confidence to get my back better. I’ll be having my surgery tomorrow and I’m so nervous but watching your videos calm anxiety ❤ Thank you so much Julie’s you are a strong women and so amazing I just can’t thank you enough ❤❤
Aloha Julia, I just literally was thumbing through scoliosis surgery videos and yours popped out at me. I am so fortunate to have found you. Congratulations on you tremendous bravery and success. You are truly an inspiration. I am 75 years young and have had noticeable scoliosis for about 4 years now. It’s terribly painful. What a life changer. Im bent over like the letter C. As a professional dancer most of my life and a drummer for 10 years and singer, it’s been devastating. Am still unsure if I should have the surgery at my age. I don’t have any family left and don’t have anyone to take care of me after the surgery and I have a puppy who means the world to me and have no one to take care of her while I’d be in hospital or at home recovering. I’m so very proud of you, young lady. You are truly an inspiration. You have a new Subscriber here. Take care, dear heart🙋🏼♀️🤸♂️🥇🏆👏🏼💜.
Hi Julia, my name is Emily Fraser. I live in Western Australia and I have been following your journey of dancing and scoliosis for a while now and wanted to reach out. I also had scoliosis that started in 2018, and i had surgery in 2021. My curve was 90 degrees! I think you are an inspiration and a great dancer. Thank you for sharing your story with everyone and all the best for the future 😀
julia, you have been such an inspiration to me since i first discovered your channel. your previous surgery vlogs greatly helped me in those anxious months awaiting the operation to treat my then 76° curvature. it eased some of my nerves to not only see a girl around my own age share her experience, but to share the same experience i was about go through with asc surgery. since then, i’ve loved keeping up with your channel and social media, and wish you the best of luck as you continue your recovery. i hope you find better correction and your pain is lessened following a full recovery, and that you will continue to share your passion for acting with the world. (i can’t wait for more of your works to be available in the u.s.) i can never forget how much your content-and personally sent videos-have helped me and the impact it has made in my journey. i just celebrated four years post-op 🎉 i pray you wil recover without complications and that you can soon get back to what you love doing! bless you, and sending much love from washington, d.c. ❤️ - kaylie f. (the girl who kept in touch with you through facebook messenger videos following your first one when i was still in the hospital; i will always be so grateful for the ones you sent.)
I am proud of you even though you have no connection to me! It is hard to let people into your life especially in hospital but you are doing a great service to people looking at surgery! Good luck!
the way your mom and your sister help you to push through is the support we all need in our lifes. Thank you for those videos Julia, you do such an importand and very very good job!
I'm happy to see you again. Don't like the circumstances, but I've had 7 or 8 surgeries includind spinal surgery; but not as stressful as yours, though I did die briefly during my spinal surgery. Fortunately they got me back quickly. Gave me oxygen in the wrong place. Anyway, I really miss and love all the girls. Hope all goes well
Omg Julia you are honestly the strongest and most bravest girl ever. I’m so so proud of you :) this video really shows how strong you are. You are honestly the biggest inspiration to so many people. I’m so glad the surgeries went well and your doing absolutely amazing x keep up the good work 🥰 I’m sending lots of love to you x
ive got to have a spinal fusion and im watching this to see what its like. this videos is helping so much and kind of gets rid of all my bad thoughts about it
Hey I wanted to share that I also have had a scoliosis fusion surgery from L/2-T/5 so I’m going into 2 yrs. And the pain comes and goes but so much better than before surgery. I have also cervical fusion C/2-C/7 so most of my spine is fused.. I still do my daily work and raise a garden . Best suggestion is to do your exercises so your muscles stay strong. Good Luck with your recovery!!
Recovering from mine, fused L1 to S1, had to go back in to have a repair after breaking a screw at 3 months, ugh, but it's all good, this was my 26th surgery, 3rd on spine, had neck, shoulders, knees, hernias, nose, hand, fingers, I didn't play well with others. Hope you are doing well
How do you feel? Do you have any restrictions or pain? I'm so scared to do it and my symptoms are getting worse 😭. I've had it since I was 14. I'm 23 now. My back is so tight and uncomfortable
@@leena__saeed I feel ok but I still have pain only in the winter and the pain gets worse and most the time I just put a heating pad on it. I take pain pills or ill just sit up in a recliner chair with the heating pad. But the surgery helps out a lot. I just wish I would be gotten the back brace but my grandparents thought it would be different with the surgery. Don't stand for along time. Use vitamin E oil for the back to help with healing and keep a pillow on your back after surgery. Make sure you do small exercises and they gone have you moving in a couple days to make sure you still can walk. Make sure clean your back everyday or every other day and other than that it was ok and everything will be ok.
@@Chooselife96 so glad you're okay xx bless you xx thank you for the tips xx I don't think I'll be doing it anytime soon until I graduate from university which is in a couple of months. I'm considering surgery but at the same thing I don't want to do it because I'm frightened of how much my life will change after having it. My curves are mid ranges 40-50 I think the last time I checked about 4 years ago. I don't know how much it is now. I wore a brace for a while when I found out I had it but it didn't really do much. Maybe It's because I haven't wore it much. Now that I'm older my back is getting more achy and so uncomfortable. My back locks alot and my ribs hurt. I think with age symptoms can get worse if you're not doing anything to tackle them.
hi I was wondering if with scoliosis did your spine ever feel tight? I think I have scoliosis and my spine hurts like the whole column. thank You for replying to this.
