I feel your pain, I have had 3 fusions from the 1st one being T3-L4, 2nd one being L-5 to S1, and the 3rd C3 to C4 or 5. It is very difficult for me considering the seats are not shaped for us. I bring a foot rest and lumbar and neck blow up supports. The only way I get to use my blow up foot rest is if I am flying Southwest and get up in the very front. The other airlines are more difficult because they have first class or business class and it is very expensive to get into first class and I never get a break to get up there as an complimentary upgrade. I wish I knew of better ways to air travel. It is a pain for my husband because I am usually so uncomfortable and the airlines do not give a darn.

Thank you for posting this video and tips. I have severe lumbar stenosis and find flying to be incredibly difficult. I use a small lumbar pillow for my back. It looks like a small neck roll and even has a band on one side so I can put it over the extension of my rolling bag. Have you tried that?
