    Very much appreciate the positive comments guys . It is a lot of work and a lot of fun too.
    I always say working in these is a cross between a labor of love and exercise in craziness. This is both ! Come join us next year for Model A Days, the expansion will be complete and we will have the new shop/learning center completed.
    I do need a start up for next year so let me know if you have something. Many Many thanks for all your support, and an enormous shout out to Paul and Tina Shinn for all their talents and efforts to make all of this available and in recorded history. A work of art in itself!

      Thanks Jeffrey!, you are exactly right. No other Automotive engine has been as resilient and sturdy as our beloved Model A's . We have Henry & Edsel's simlicity of engineering and of course the survival of them do to all the owners who kept them! Bless you all ! The Start Ups are so much fun and eventful in itself. Special thanks to Paul for capturing this and sharing with the world! Let's do it again next year!

    "They want to run." No truer words have been spoken. In 1949 my Grandfather and Great-uncle built the first Firetruck for the small town that I grew up in. They used a 1929 Model AA truck and had a tank built to make it into a pumper. When asked why they used a 20 year old truck, they said, "A Model A will always start." The city sold it, my father tracked it down years later and bought it back. My oldest brother now owns it. He is a retired professional firefighter, and when he first got the job, my Dad figured he should own a firetruck since that was his profession. I wonder where I get my love for Model A's from.

      I know you have been doing this successfully for 30 plus years…but it also seems to be growing in popularity (heck I am watching from Canada). I also think a few bollards to separate the over enthusiastic audience (can’t blame them for being interested) and the guys actually doing the wrenching would be an asset. I imagine the Shinn’s, acting as camera people, could attest that camera view points were sometimes “challenging” and a roped-off area may have helped.

    • @ModelA
      @ModelA  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wish! Problem is, with so many interested people trying to have a look, they walk right in front of your camera and park their heads in front of the shot. I tried filming some of last year's First Start from ground level. Wasn't happening. Sometimes, I think people walk in front of my camera ON PURPOSE!!

    Good morning. I had to do a lot of cleaning up of the fuel system on my 29 Tudor when I got it. I had to remove the fuel tank and clean it out. Full of junk and rust. I cleaned the carb with an ultrasonic cleaner and it still wouldn't start. It looked like it was getting fuel. I checked the ignition system and I had to change the ignition switch and the ammeter. In the end I had to remove the casting for the sediment bowl and clean corrosion out of the middle of the passageway. Then it got enough fuel and spark to run. Now it starts up right away.
