It must be an extraordinarily difficult adjustment for Harry to go from a life of immense privilege, wealth and prestige, all the pomp and ceremony, the safety and security of being an important member of the British Royal Family where everything is done for you, the deference and respect of courtiers, world wide fame, the love of the general public to a life of far less prominence and distinction. Doubtless it was a huge shock spending the first 35 years of his life living in this rarefied world then having to earn his own living, pay his own bills and try to carve out a life of significance and productivity for himself. He has so much resentment about being the “spare” to William it just eats him alive and fuels his bad behaviour. Instead of accepting his place and creating a life of meaning and purpose for himself, he’s gone from being the second most popular Royal after Queen Elizabeth to a laughingstock. I am sure he’s realized the grass is not greener in Montecito. His two biggest mistakes were marrying Meghan and trashing and abandoning his family. His actions have been appalling but I don’t believe he would have done any of those things without the influence of his wife. She has poisoned him and ruined his life. He’s lost everything that once gave him relevance: his family, his friends, the Institution that provided an extravagant life as well as worthwhile work with his charities. Will they get divorced? Not just yet because the connection to the Royal Family and her title is what gives her relevance. Without that she is nothing and nobody.
