Thanks for your interest. My style stems from learning a "sort of clawhammer" without ever seeing examples clearly or having any instruction. My picking hand basically does a bum-ditty rhythm (or bum-ditty-ditty in 3/4 time in this video) while my fretting hand is very busy with various hammer-ons, pull-offs, etc. I never learned drop thumb but compensate by getting a lot of those usual notes with my fretting hand.
