The Lagavulin bottle is by far my favorite bottle design. Classic shape, but not boring. The label is simple and understated, yet iconic. It looks like something from an earlier time period, but it is still perfectly modern. Timeless. IMO it's the perfect branding/packaging.
Cask Strength with that color, crazy interesting. Wish I liked Islay enough to pop for that bottle. Think I'll stick with the good old Laphroaig and Ardbeg 10 when sea salted tires is on the menu. Thanks for the great laughs!
Was expecting a higher score, particularly for the price. Surprised to hear Dutch say the 16 is more intense given the proof difference. This may be one I leave on the shelf.

I recently ordered the 2021 Laga 12, will be the last one I buy. Cannot justify paying the huge price increase because of artwork on the tube.

The 16 is $80 at Binny's in IL. No way I'm spending $150 for the CS 12.
What ralfy says is for elders :) Theay have time to wait and look from window :). But it's nice...
Have you tried any American single malts to compare? I had some Westland samples last week and was blown away by a couple of them.
Would be a fun comparison. Have tried some Westland, but need to explore the full lineup.

I have the 2020 release, and it's really good. I think I still prefer comparable whiskies from Ardbeg and Laphroaig though.
