英國以前私人起嘅屋都係terrace houses, council housing就起四,五層buildings,樓梯喺building旁邊上一樓或二樓平台,去一,二,三樓嘅門口都喺平台,最頂兩層係maisonette,duplex,或超十幾二十層似香港樓嘅building.依家私人冇乜地先至起apartment buildings.

I like the white and grey house. It looks so European...... which is not very British, but definitely a nicer and modern look now. My neighbour has done the same thing for his house. It is just adding a layer of white cement in front, to make it look modern. Mine has pebble dash but not cement. It does protect the outer layer as well.
