When you think about it, all the icons from the mid 2000s all the back was organic and now most “icons” are media created. Even beyond sports. For example Stone cold, the rock, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, 2pac, Michael Jackson, Prince, Shaq etc Now compare that to the past 10-15 years.

I do as well. I went inside a Hibbett sports store last year, and I asked a sales person “how often do you guys sell Lebrons shoes? His reply was not often. If I am being honest ... I did own the Lebron 7's back in 2009, pre-Decision. Definitely *NOT* because I wanted to be "like Bron", I didn't. To be honest, I don't even know what any of Lebron's shoes look like, and I just learned what his logo looks like from your thumbnail, if that is it. Before any fan hits me with a comment, that doesn't knock Lebron because I don't know what any athlete's shoe looks like. As a kid, my parents got us shoes they could afford. I had one pair of shoes that I did everything in. As I got a little older, I did talk my mom into getting me Shaq's shoe, and Frank Thomas' shoe. I'm 40 now, and this was back when I was in Elementary or middle school. Neither shoe was more than $70 at the time, but my parents wouldn't pay more than $40 for shoes. Now, as an adult, I just don't care to wear or have them. I play sports in the sneakers I have. I've never owned anything Michael Jordan either. Although I might because I'm going to take up golf as an outdoor hobby. So I may get some shirts or a hat.
My ex gave her daughter some Lebrons. Her son got mad because she didn't give them to him. She said I dont know why he whining. I found them while dumpster diving😂😂😂😂. There's literally no way to defend the guy; even LeBron fans gotta invent lies to justify that bums so called 'greatness' - and that's stressful. I used to be a lebalco fan for his first two seasons in the league because I was hoodwinked by the NBA, who false advertised LeBron as the next MJ/Kobe, and I fell for the lies. But after two-three seasons I just didn't see any magic from this guy and losing in the 2007 NBA finals was the last straw for me; because not only did he lose, but he was (imo) the worst player on the court. Popavich left him wide open and dared him to shoot and it was a brick-show to say the least, a complete contrast to MJ and Kobe who you couldn't leave wide open for a second. Popavich then ran the same scheme in the 2013 Finals by leaving LeBron wide open again and he couldn't hit a shot until the end of game 6... which indicates that this man's game didn't improve from 2007 all the way to 2013, hence the need to create super-team's.

I have a collection of Nike signature ball shoes and I have maybe 8 pairs of LeBron shoes and some apparel. I’ve worn maybe an all blacked out sweater early this year with his logo hoping no one would see it. I don’t know if or when I’ll wear his shoes again but I bought them before he went to Miami. So that was the only time I sorta respected him but now after his first title I don’t really care for LBJ’s merch

As a life long sneaker head I've only ever owned 1 pair of lebrons and I sold em pretty quick. That's not to say I haven't liked any of em but not enough to buy em. Mainly just the foamposite ones. But when it comes to Jordan's that's different story all together. I've got at least 25 pairs of js right now not to mention the tons ive bought over the span of my 39 year life. So yeah nobody is wearing LeBrons not just cuz they're bland an uninspired but mostly cuz he's not very inspiring. Funny you made this video. Just walked into Xebio Sports Stor in Japan and I mean the entire checkout counter has MJ all over it. Even Ohtani is not in there and he is the hottest thing since Ichiro! But they did put Kobe in there a little in a small section with MJ. Ohtani is on the floor. Then are Tatum and Luka, then next to that in an even smaller section with no images, just text only LEBRON AND KD..every single one of those shoes wack! hardly anybody over there. They are even on sale they won't touch them! hahahaha True story, my wife mistakenly bought my son LeBron and when I told him the facts behind it. He never wore them again. I bought it for the 4th of July…which considering the name on the shirt is funny. But I only wore it once. I never had a LeBron shoe but I have way too many Air Jordans. I will admit though that when the NXT AMPD shoe that released that looked like the first shoe he wore but it looked like a better shoe, I ALMOST bought them. That specific NXT AMPD shoe was a decent looking shoe and has a zoom unit in the forefoot and heel. That’s nice. Buuuuttt is still isnt better than the Air Jordan 39 with the full ZoomX midsole AND full Zoom strobel. You can wear the Jordan 39 probably even to go on a run in with that technology and the light upper. It is a nice shoe. Oh and the ONLY reason why we don’t see more Jordan Jerseys is because the only way to get one is from M&N and it cost $300. They don’t make Swingman Jordan jerseys. If they did for $140 they would fly off the shelves. They did when the AJ14 back in 2017 released and Nike released the red Jordan Jersey. I bought it. I wore it when I was in Vegas last month lol. The authentic Nike jersey stuck around for a while because of the cost but the swingman jersey was sold out in like a week. So if M&N made a swingman Jordan jersey evvvvveryone would have it. And to be honest SnF, if his Wizards jersey was sold a ton of folks would be all over it. Especially the blue one. I actually want the blue one lol. If anyone wanted the white Wizards jersey you can make it if they still have the Nike throwback in stock to customize. The Wizards wore the white jersey this past season. To be honest, I don't even know what any of Lebron's shoes look like, and I just learned what his logo looks like from your thumbnail, if that is it. Before any fan hits me with a comment, that doesn't knock Lebron because I don't know what any athlete's shoe looks like. As a kid, my parents got us shoes they could afford. I had one pair of shoes that I did everything in. As I got a little older, I did talk my mom into getting me Shaq's shoe, and Frank Thomas' shoe. I'm 40 now, and this was back when I was in Elementary or middle school. Neither shoe was more than $70 at the time, but my parents wouldn't pay more than $40 for shoes.
Now, as an adult, I just don't care to wear or have them. I play sports in the sneakers I have. I've never owned anything Michael Jordan either. Although I might because I'm going to take up golf as an outdoor hobby. So I may get some shirts or a hat.

There's literally no way to defend the guy; even LeBron fans gotta invent lies to justify that bums so called 'greatness' - and that's stressful. I used to be a lebalco fan for his first two seasons in the league because I was hoodwinked by the NBA, who false advertised LeBron as the next MJ/Kobe, and I fell for the lies. But after two-three seasons I just didn't see any magic from this guy and losing in the 2007 NBA finals was the last straw for me; because not only did he lose, but he was (imo) the worst player on the court. Popavich left him wide open and dared him to shoot and it was a brick-show to say the least, a complete contrast to MJ and Kobe who you couldn't leave wide open for a second. Popavich then ran the same scheme in the 2013 Finals by leaving LeBron wide open again and he couldn't hit a shot until the end of game 6... which indicates that this man's game didn't improve from 2007 all the way to 2013, hence the need to create super-team's.

True story, my wife mistakenly bought my son LeBron and when I told him the facts behind it. He never wore them again. It's been stuck in my office with dust and I can't even give them away. They all say they are ugly and they don't like LeBron. These are Junior High/HS kids. They say if it was anybody else they take it. BTW my son got some Jordans after all of that and loves it. I bought it for the 4th of July…which considering the name on the shirt is funny. But I only wore it once. I never had a LeBron shoe but I have way too many Air Jordans. I will admit though that when the NXT AMPD shoe that released that looked like the first shoe he wore but it looked like a better shoe, I ALMOST bought them. That specific NXT AMPD shoe was a decent looking shoe and has a zoom unit in the forefoot and heel. That’s nice. Buuuuttt is still isnt better than the Air Jordan 39 with the full ZoomX midsole AND full Zoom strobel. You can wear the Jordan 39 probably even to go on a run in with that technology and the light upper. It is a nice shoe. Oh and the ONLY reason why we don’t see more Jordan Jerseys is because the only way to get one is from M&N and it cost $300. They don’t make Swingman Jordan jerseys. If they did for $140 they would fly off the shelves. They did when the AJ14 back in 2017 released and Nike released the red Jordan Jersey. I bought it. I wore it when I was in Vegas last month lol. The authentic Nike jersey stuck around for a while because of the cost but the swingman jersey was sold out in like a week. So if M&N made a swingman Jordan jersey evvvvveryone would have it. And to be honest SnF, if his Wizards jersey was sold a ton of folks would be all over it. Especially the blue one. I actually want the blue one lol. If anyone wanted the white Wizards jersey you can make it if they still have the Nike throwback in stock to customize. The Wizards wore the white jersey this past season.
