- If you're new to selling beats online, it's a good idea to have your own Producer website. If you've been wondering how to build your own website to sell Beats, then watch this video where I show you how to create your own Producer website, so you can sell beats online, all by using a Free platform called Wordpress.
I've been asked how to sell beats online by many Music Producers, and I've found that one of THE best ways to sell beats online is by having your own website.
I use Wordpress, and a Theme (plugin) from a company called 'Music Maker Theme' to design the look and feel of my Producer website. You don't need to know any coding or anything to do with creating a Website from scratch, as it is all done for you.
Be sure to watch the FULL video tutorial, as I show you how to create a Pro website, so you can have a place to sell beats online and not rely on 3rd party platfroms. Although, you can use 3rd party platforms to sell your beats online, this will help to BOOST your brand and sell more Beats.
Once you've set up your producer website, you can push traffic to your website and ask artists to join your mailing list aswell as give them offers to get them to buy beats. You can also create music producer landing pages, to direct traffic to specific Beat offers, giveaways, Free Beats, it's entirely up to you.
There's so many ways for you to make your producer website pop, by continually updating your producer website and uploading new beats to sell online, whether it's type beats or full songs, you can make money from selling Beats online.

Very informative video. I have a question. At 5:47 in the video, you mentioned that you created a product store (tshits & hats etc.). How exactly did you do that? Did you have to add a particular add on or plugin? That's the part that I don't understand. Any info you can share would go a long way in letting me know if this theme is the one I should go with. Preciate your feedback. I’m using Spreadshirt that is a generated code on a ‘page’ to make it Live. You can also create your own Merch page within the Theme, which is quite easy to do.
Been using this Theme years and definitely would recommend it.

Really good video, very well made. But Im looking for a way to escape the use of airbit and beatstars so that I'm not sharing my money. Is it possible to do this with wordpress?
Preciate your feedback. You don’t share money you earn through Airbit & Beatstars, but you will have to pay to use their platform. The plugin I use for Wordpress, is made so you can sell Beats directly from your website. Not sure how you set that up, but there’s loads of help on their FAQ to help you.

I wondered about the player for the beats, the purchase of the beats, and the licensing contracts. I don’t where to get any of that info.
I use the Beats player from Airbit, and embed that on my website. Licensing info is also from there too. They have template’s that you can tweak, to fit your Business terms and conditions.

You don’t need to have Beatstars or Airbit, you can set up the theme to sell Beats directly from your website. You’ll find the methods to set it up properly on their website. I found it easier to just embed the Airbit player on my site.

Yo bro, I can’t really comment on the BeatStars page, cos I’ve never used it, but as far as I know, it’s decent. The reason I suggest having your own website, is so you have complete control over it, and it belongs to you.

Yea, of course. Is the Beatstars website linked to them, or is it your own website? If it’s through Beatstars then it’s not really your own. There are Pro’s and cons of having your own personal website, but do whatever works for you.

@@kcsounds Thanks for the response! This is my first time doing this so I was looking into the options. Beatstars Pro gives you a site where you can put your own domain. I guess Im just trying to see if there is a difference or if its just preference. Basically, Im just looking to have a site where people can play and buy beats, nothing crazy.
So this theme doesn't actually help you set up the beat store?...you still have to pay airbit or beatstars to allow potential customers to preview/purchase your beats?
The theme does come with a dedicated Beats player, which you can set up and get paid through PayPal.

Hi I need help, if I buy a beat unlimited on BeatStars and my song blows up, but someone has got the beat exclusively after I purchased it and then my lease ends would have to remove it off all platforms 🙁
Hi. As far as I know you wouldn’t have to remove your Track, unless the artist has asked you to - which I’ve never heard of. To be sure, double check your agreement or hit up the Producer who made the Beat. Hope that helps 🙂
