thanks Jim, the web is overwhelmingly full of tantalising new tools, finally bit the bullet and spent some of my precious finances on my long awaiting wish list. now lots of ideas for new Vids … Cheers… Nick
thanks for supporting my channel Karry. I really appreciate that, especially after getting a bit carried away buying a few extra budget tools … I suppose I’ll have to get on with using them now and not just leave them sitting there looking pretty … cheers for that … Nick
Thank Denise, oh yes you certainly do know how I feel. I now need to get on and make something with them instead of leaving them looking pretty and admired … N
Wow! Christmas come early!! Surprising range; I've never seen tapering mandrels like these. I am intrigued to see how you get on with the tools. Especially the mitre clamp - that's the one on my wish list at the moment. Looking forward to the next videos, Nick
Hi Andrew, yes nice to have early Christmas toys to play with … The “Ring Bezel Mandrel Triblets” were a very cheap budget set to have a go with from cousinsuk. The mitre clamp was also an economy version but looks fine to me. I didn’t want to pay over £400 for Bergeon made version. Now just need a few video ideas using my nice new shiny tools … N
Im goin to get the same formung tools also the the crucibles and i didn't know about that jog i might get it too. You got a few other things i want to get as well. Happy for you.😊
Hi Rome, i’ve never had regrets spending money on tools. The cheap crucibles have been very good and I’ve really been enjoying the mitre jig. Good luck with your purchases. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have … N
Don't you just Love an unboxing!!! I recognize some of those tools!! I'm so glad you were able to get them. I have a suggestion... before you do anything about the ingot mould, try to use it several times because it looks to me like a very thick protective coating of some sort. If you try burning it off and it's not plain old paint, then you might end up with just a rusty old piece of metal. I know you know way better than I do about your 'creative stuff', but sometimes I feel like I just need to try to help!! 😂 Thanks for sharing the unboxing with us, Nick!! I can't wait to see the new videos!!
thanks for that SandiRose, I try it first with molten copper and it did give off smoke and smelly fumes so I bit the bullet and burnt it all off and wire brushed back. now it’s a lot less textured in the grooves and works fine I will just need to keep it oiled to prevent rust. I’ve now got plenty of fresh ideas for videos with my nice new shiny toys … cheers … Nick
I’m so jealous!!!! Where did you get your swag dapping blocks? I have so many different things that I can polish with.. but what is the name of the place that you ordered all of your new toys with? Again I’m very jealous. Big hugs 🤗, Michelle
Hi Michelle, being a hobbyist expensive top end tools aren’t always a priority for me so sometimes I go for budget tools rather than nothing. This dapping set I bought is probably the cheapest on the market and found it at cousinsuk.com … I did get a bit carried away on there website with my shopping cart and bought a lot of other cheap tools that I’ve always wanted … oh well I’ve never regretted buying tools … N
OK now you gotta tell me where you got all four of your different shaped mandrel??? I buy from Rio Grande, Otto Frei, Amazon… I still need to get my Amazon affiliate set up. Are you on Instagram? Big hugs 🤗 again, Michelle Ohhh FYI I am not receiving your videos in my notification!!! And I have the bell notification turned on. So I don’t know what’s going on with TH-cam!!! I’m still not getting notifications for two other metalsmith that I follow
thanks for the hugs Michelle, this whole order came from cousinsUK not sure if they deal with overseas orders. They call these mandrels “ Ring Bezel Mandrel Triblets”. TH-cam is the only social media I do and is enough to struggle with the complexities of how it all works … hope you get your notifications sorted … Nick

I have the same ingot mould. It's pretty rough. Had to burn off the paint and clean it up. Pretty rough thanks for sharing. 👍
Thanks Ron, just the same as what I did in the end. Works fine for my needs and it falls into the opinion of “A cheap tool is better than no tool” … N

Nice one Sandi, i’ve had to get into the habit of oiling tools here in the damp UK … N
Nice!!!!! New subscriber. I'm jealous of your new tools.😂
