Grandma from NJ who worked 40 years for an airline and went out on disability recently but I am still responsible for three 93-100 years old family members and the stress never ends. I'm from Jersey too, you know here in the States you can hire a Certified Home Health Aide, preferably one who has had facility experience & Medicare will help pay for it....I know what you're going through and you don't have to go it alone. Stay healthy and in shape, maybe you too can take a vacation and stay in a lovely cottage like the one featured here today!
You do have your hands full and they are very blessed to have family that can still look after them. What a lovely person you are. Blessings in your days and may you some day be able to enjoy a sweet cottage like this. 🧡
Oh thank you all......we do have 24 hr care for my folks who still live at home in Bergen county but as you know its very expensive and my dad has Alzheimer's and my aunt whose 100 lives in a very nice assisted living but there's a ton of work and non stop dr appts so we don't sit home and mope. This is my first time writing a comment and it was very pleasant. TY!

It was always our plan to travel throughout England in our retirement whee the children were settled. Unfortunately our health has deteriorated after covid and affected our lungs. We are virtually housebound at age 65 and 58. Your videos show us all the places we would love to see in person.❤

I watched this the first of the week and for some reason I lost the video? Absolutely love the windows and drapes and lighting fixtures! Lamps and Red Floor Lamp. Placing of furniture especially the two- seater couch looks very cozy as do chairs. Comfy cozy look! There's a town I'de like to comment about but will have to see if I get the name right when we get there. Will comment again later.
Such a beautiful cottage. It looks quite old from the stonework, and I love the Gothic style windows. I like the colors, the artwork (especially the florals and botanicals), and the grounds are so lovely. I could see living there with a couple dogs, a cat, and two horses in the storage building! Im quite ready to move in! I do hope I can visit Great Britain someday. Cornwall, Cotswolds, Stonehenge, Avebury, Glastonbury, Wales, Scotland, Ions, Hebrides. Looks like I need to move there! I love stone cottages. You take us to the most wonderful places, it's difficult to have a favorite. They are all gorgeous! In this one I particularly love the windows, the wall color, the floors, that gorgeous brass bed and the very sweet Welsh dresser, the fire place.... well just about everything! Loved the outside of the cottage. I personally like more dramatic colors and textures for inside decor. I also am a big fan of four poster and canopy beds. Would have loved to have seen it a bit more historical decorated.

An interesting use of the English language: In America, homely refers to a person who looks unattractive, nearly ugly. We would say that a house & its decor look homey. 😊
That`s the first time I have seen the red in the Cornish pottery. I grew up with the yellow and blue Cornish as a child, my grandfather worked all his life as head kiln stacker at TG Greens pottery in Derbyshire about a mile from where I sit, so everthing we had was from Greens. They did wartime utility pottery which my mums inherited pie dishes may well be and still going strong. They did art Nouveau and art deco designs, retro Victorian and Cornish from 1920`s onwards. Barely known or mentioned today they also did sanitary ware. If you are lucky enough to find any of that don`t put in the skip. Collectable. I removed a TG Greens basin about 25yrs ago and did put in a skip not realising at the time. My grandfather may have loaded it in a kiln to be fired? I loved the green in the breakfast room. I watched this the first of the week and for some reason I lost the video? Absolutely love the windows and drapes and lighting fixtures! Lamps and Red Floor Lamp. Placing of furniture especially the two- seater couch looks very cozy as do chairs. Comfy cozy look! There's a town I'de like to comment about but will have to see if I get the name right when we get there. Will comment again later.
Such a beautiful cottage. It looks quite old from the stonework, and I love the Gothic style windows. I like the colors, the artwork (especially the florals and botanicals), and the grounds are so lovely. I could see living there with a couple dogs, a cat, and two horses in the storage building! Im quite ready to move in! I do hope I can visit Great Britain someday. Cornwall, Cotswolds, Stonehenge, Avebury, Glastonbury, Wales, Scotland, Ions, Hebrides. Looks like I need to move there! I love stone cottages. You take us to the most wonderful places, it's difficult to have a favorite. They are all gorgeous! In this one I particularly love the windows, the wall color, the floors, that gorgeous brass bed and the very sweet Welsh dresser, the fire place.... well just about everything! Loved the outside of the cottage. I personally like more dramatic colors and textures for inside decor. I also am a big fan of four poster and canopy beds. Would have loved to have seen it a bit more historical decorated.

Thanks so much, glad you like it! The filming is always done by the two of us. I always film the entire cottage tours including the parts with the details and music and when we’re outside we film with 2 cameras.

Hello Kirsten and Joerg, excellent taste always from the places you pick to stay at to the furnishings chosen to decorate the rooms and the garden/ courtyard is beautiful/ welcoming also. Cornwall is so inviting with the cafes and stores.
So beautifully furnished and decorated! You are so kind to provide the paint names, and close-ups of the fabrics, pictures, and pottery. I’m sure we all want to replicate the timeless beauty of this cottage in our own homes. The British have a way with paint colour, as well as, fabric and wallpaper patterns!
The bunny you’re taking home is a great choice. I can imagine him up to mischief, running around your garden when you’re not looking, in his little blue jacket….your own Peter Rabbit.

An interesting use of the English language: In America, homely refers to a person who looks unattractive, nearly ugly. We would say that a house & its decor look homey. 😊
That`s the first time I have seen the red in the Cornish pottery. I grew up with the yellow and blue Cornish as a child, my grandfather worked all his life as head kiln stacker at TG Greens pottery in Derbyshire about a mile from where I sit, so everthing we had was from Greens. They did wartime utility pottery which my mums inherited pie dishes may well be and still going strong. They did art Nouveau and art deco designs, retro Victorian and Cornish from 1920`s onwards. Barely known or mentioned today they also did sanitary ware. If you are lucky enough to find any of that don`t put in the skip. Collectable. I removed a TG Greens basin about 25yrs ago and did put in a skip not realising at the time. My grandfather may have loaded it in a kiln to be fired? I loved the green in the breakfast room.
