Hello there and welcome back .. absolutely another beautiful sharing travel trip reports and gorgeous settings presentation camera work and stunning footage views capturing and there you go again, great upload and share and you rock it all again my friend and I really appreciate and enjoy watching your lifestyle adventure and as always beautiful sharing, thanks again and have a wonderful blessed weekend ! .. take care and stay safe my friend ! .. Thanks so much Azamy! Sadly I was forced to move my flight to Canada for a few months from now... Good part is that I also booked a trip to Vancouver! REally looking forward to that!
it is absolutely incredible what gift you were given having such wonderful flight weather. Even the clouds over Bear Island were serving you. Those shapes, those landscapes..... this is paradise
Great video showing the trip to the end of the world. I grew up in a warmer climate ... with four distinct seasons and all the beauty that comes with it, so I never understood what is so beautiful about those barren, lifeless lands of Norway.
@@OnBoardHD The flight took close to five hours, if not more. The Aerolinas Argentinas 737 stopped in Trelew and Rio Gallegos before landing in Ushuaia. It was a novelty feeling the temperature drop as we headed south. The landing in Ushuaia was also memorable.
🇧🇻🇧🇻🇧🇻🇧🇻 thats interesting end of the world, around Norway. Scandinavian Airlines SAS interesting trip report in Norway Scandinavia. Nice plane Airbus.
It's kind of a poetical title... I mean, there's nothing else if you continue northbound... you will only find Alaska eventually, but by that moment you would be going southbound already :)
I flew to Svalbard around 10 years ago with Norwegian in august. We took off before midnight in darkness and watched the sun rise due to the midnight sun. We landed at 3 am in complete daylight. Longyearbyen is a very unique town and it was very quiet and peaceful yet a little surreal. It was a little chilli even in august, and felt like a Scottish winter. We even had occasional days of light snow.
I'm sure I will go back to Svalbard. As I say on the video, ideally during the snow season, so the views will be completely different, and probably even more spectacular! :))
Great video with amazing views throughout! It's interesting to see the contrast between the farmland/forests around Oslo, the fjords, the mountains/glaciers of Tromso, and of course the desolate Arctic landscape of Svalbard. Also, it's interesting how "normal" the flight to Svalbard is. You're flying to the northernmost commercial airport, but the flight runs just like any other SAS A320neo flight (other than, of course, the stunning approach). Now you need to fly to the southernmost airport haha :)
Thanks a lot, mate! I'm glad that you liked this Trip Report! :) I don't know if it's the southernmost one... but I'm looking to fly to Ushuaia in Argentina... Hopefully soon!
@@OnBoardHD You're welcome! Even though I sometimes don't have time to comment, I enjoy every one of your trip reports! And yes, Ushuaia is the southernmost airport. Should be pretty cool to see you fly to it!
Thanks for the trip report What a beautiful and amazing world we live in Never knew such peaceful isolated but majestic places exist It's always been a dream of mine to visit such places❤
Thanks so much, Herbert! Happy that you've enjoyed it! It was a really amazing trip. As I said on the video, I will try to visit it again on the season that everything is covered by ice and snow. It must be amazing as well! :)
I'm half Norwegian ethnically and this video makes me want to visit my Homeland!! Something about this Top of the World country that's very inviting. SAS seems like a nice carrier too. Thanks for this vid! :)
Thanks a lot! SAS is a nice airline, I agree, but the SAS Plus class in European flights is absolutely not worth it. I can't recommend it in any way. We'll see what the AF-KLM Group does with it! :)
What a view at the Tromso airport of the mountains all around! 😮. Always love the aerial views of the different regions of the world. ❤ You are so lucky to see this weekly. Another great trip, Lucas & I did like SAS. 😊🙋🏼♀️👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks so much!! I had this trip on the wish list for many years! Finally it was possible to do it! Best of all is that we still have the video put of Svalbard! ✈️✈️ Glad that you liked it :))
I am going to Norway in January for an Erasmus trip and I’m planning a trip to Svalbard to see the northern lights. Thank you for showing a bit of them in this video
Amazing!!! Hi Lucas. A huge thankyou for this one 🎉✈✈.I didn't realise it was so remote .My most special part was your approach intoTromso. The views were absolutely exceptional 😊 all were really special also.I wouldn't like to live in sush a remote place and especially not in one of those shacks ha ha.Bear Island was really strange especially when you explained about the cloud ring around it.The airplane was nothing special. Rather like the food ha ha..I can see why you wanted so badly to visit there so thankyou for sharing this one.✈✈✈✈🎉.Have a great weekend ❤❤
Great Vid! Svalbard is on my next to-do list, along with a flight with Air Greenland on the A338neo to Kangerlussuaq or Nuuk! I think there is a direct flight from Oslo without stopping in TOS and it takes 3hrs. You have to visit Tromso in December just before Xmas when it's total dark and the city is all decorated and snowed..It's fantastic! You get polar night which is magical, there is about an hour of daylight but the sun never comes up and the surroundings with the snow take this "blue" ice colour! Also approach to Tromso is spectacular..The pics from the snowy mountains around, the sea, the polar light..But book in advance it's very popular in winter esp. if you wanna experience the polar night. I went 2 yrs and i loved it..Went to Lyngen Alps dog-sledding with huskies, had meal in a hut, went on a cruise..Weather is tricky so you might or might not get the Aurora Borealis. Still it's a very charming city, very international and people very friendly
Thanks so much! :) Yeah, for me Air Greenland is 100% on the wish list. And it will be probably out of it next year hehe Thanks for all the information. I'll take it into account for my next trip! :) Have a great Sunday!
Just got back from Svalbard a couple of days ago! Wonderful trip. Flew SAS from Newark, New Jersey, to Oslo and a connecting flight to Longyearbyen via Tromso (same plane). My highlights were a speedboat trip and an ATV ride outside town. Definitely plan to go back during the dark winter. Nice video!
Precioso video, tiene unas increíbles vistas de Noruega y sus fiordos que son espectaculares vamos que todo lo que se ve desde el avión ✈️ es una naturaleza en estado puro. Un cordial saludo y buen finde.😊
Thanks a lot for sharing this experience.Lovely window views, it's really a beautiful and a mysterious like part of the world, even during summer light is very different from what we in southern Europe for insurance.About SAS there's not much to say but they used to be a very good airline in the past but they face a lot of competition from low cost airlines and spent two years under chapter 11, now they are part part of air France klm goup and maybe they'll find their way back, because today they are not a legacy carrier and are to expensive to be a low cost, it simply does not worth flying them if you have other option
Thanks a lot Glauber! I really hope that the AF-KLM group will bring some of their nice service also into SAS. It's not acceptable this trash SAS Plus class for European flights... with Business class prices but with disgusting service... with not even middle seat blocked...
Once I visited Stockholm and Copenhagen but missed norway. Norway is such a beautiful and peaceful country. And at 28:20 you captured a home n asked to if somebody wanna live there, No I can’t live in such a extreme quiet place not even in Svalbard kind of city especially when I m used to of living in New York. Wonderful! I just did this trip in my Flight Simulator lol. But to see it in reality is truly amazing. Especially like the way you give so much infomration about your trip, the landmarks, and planes etc. That's what sets your channel apart from many others for me...
Yes, I have been on SAS, Newark to Copenhagen, A-330. I enjoyed it. I was most recently on an A-320neo (Play Airlines) from Keflavik to Stewart Airport, just north of New York City. It was fine as well. I don’t feel like I travel so very much, but I’ve reached over 300 flights!
Congratulations on your trips to remote places of the world! I have flown with "red nose" Norwegian and SAS many times and have always been amazed at their accuracy. It would be great to see your trips to Madeira, Malta and....maybe St. Helena and Easter Island. Great video!

Norway is an incredible country to fly over, as well as to visit! I did this same journey some years ago, although my journey to Svalbard was with Norwegian, back when they were still a very young airline. Their main UK base at the time was London Stansted, and I think they only flew to Oslo and possibly Bergen. I also flew via Oslo and Tromsø, with a few days stopover in Tromsø. My return journey was on a direct flight from Longyearbyen to Oslo on Braathens (who no longer exist), a three hour domestic flight. Then I flew from Oslo to Gatwick on an SAS 737-600, a rare variant of the 737 family! It was an incredible trip. 😊
So far I haven't had the opportunity to make a proper trip to the fjords, but I hope it will happen soon. For now, flying over Norway is always a synonym for enjoying breathtaking views (clouds permitting). Glad that you've enjoyed the video! Thanks :))
@@OnBoardHD I fly over Norway all the time, I find it boring with mountains rivers and valleys, that you see all the time while flying in Norway, I pprefer cityscapes
I was in Svalbard in 1972, no commercial airport then, that opened in 1974. So everything had to be shipped in by ship, it might take everything from 5 days to 2 weeks to get to the mainland. We landed in a 5 seater Cessna at the private airport (that is gone now), they had their own money, bank notes issued by the coal company, that was fun , nothing else. I proised my self that I would never go back. I have been offered free trips three times to Longyearbyen, I live in Norway, and have flied with SAS for more than 60 years. In 1972 , you could still hunt polarbears, today you are not allowed to go nearer than 200 meter, and they are a nuisance, they are everywhere, and several tourists have been killed and hurt. Polar bears ran away if they saw a human in 1972, now they run towards you... There were three Russian towns in 1972, Pyramiden, Barentsburg, and Grumant. Grumant was abandoned in 1962, Pyramiden is mostly abandoned today, but there is a hotel and bar, and Barentsburg has around 500 inhabitants, Russians and Ukrainians...(yes up there they still work together)
Este vídeo, tras unos cuantos de centrarse en los servicios a bordo y demás, se focaliza en el viaje en sí. Que 2 destinos Tromso y Svalbard! Espero que os guste!
Well, you can do that anywhere. Except for a hotel (there are several) you will not succeed in finding a place to live. OK, you can live in a tent, that is free, or buy a house or apartment, or pay a high price to rent one. OK, you would find peace and tranquilty outside Longeyarbyen, you can fish and hunt, that is free (no polar bears though), but all places on Svalbard you might get a visit from a polar bear, they are not cuddly creatures. You can dig out a snow hut, Norwegian law allows you to use the ground for free, and hunt tand fish, you are also allowed to use the wooden cabins around the islands for hunting, a walrus would feed you easily for a year, but polar bears and foxes will try to get their part. Polar bears break into cabins if they smell chocolate from miles away...
Yet another great film Señor, I was wondering in a mischievous way, that if I owned an airport with only one gate, would I call it Gate 1, or being naughty, would I call it Gate 999 instead ? 😀 I am flying from Gatwick to Alicante next month with TUI
Thanks a lot, Paul! haha To be honest I dont remember if the gate had even a number. I don't even remember if there was a screen with the flights for the day... Wish you a great trip! :))
WOW, such an incredible flight and so much information about that island with the funny clouds ;-) Thank you for sharing this valuable information ;-) However as for SAS premium plus or what ever it is called, no thanks ;-(
Thanks so much, Brum! It's always nice to hear from you! :) Glad you enjoyed this one! Yeah, the SAS Plus class in Europe is just a joke. Not worth it at all... But in my case, it was the only way to see in front of the engines and not get the views disturbed by the heat of the engines :)

The breakfast is a Scandinavian open face sandwich. You are supposed to slice the bread roll in half horisontally and put butter on each half, and then put the salami on one and cheese on the other.

Thanks, James :) I do it sometimes... but when I'm on holidays I usually prefer to disconnect from TH-cam and stay focused on enjoying with family or friends. They are aware that recording, editing the videos... takes a lot of day to day time, si when we are together, they don't want me to continue recording things (except the flight itself, ofc).

Really happy that you liked it! :))
How many people just randomly think - yeah lets go to Spitzbergen - full plane xD
haha It's a very interesting destination! :)
God's creation is absolutely beautiful!!!
Amazing place Svalbard :)
Plate tectonics and nature....none of the 5000 gods.
Qué destino tan “exótico” 🙌🏿 y supongo nada barato 😅.
Supongo que depende de la temporada 😅
wow beautiful views
Thanks! It was an amazing trip :)
@@OnBoardHD Genial, se puede saber aerolínea :) ?

Muy bonito el recorrido, gracias

Como siempre está muy bien escrito y editado.Continua así.😂
Muchas gracias!!
Un placer que te haya gustado :)
I Fly SAS Pluss A Lot.Great Video And Info
Do you think is worth in short-haul? I have doubts after trying it... 😕
I love SAS airlines :) It is very good :)
Well, the onboars service on SAS Plus in Europe is not good... 🫤
Nicely done mate 👌
Thanks!! ✈️✈️
Los paisajes de norte son maravillosos!
Parecen de otro planeta :))
Wow! Totally different yes :)
Thanks a lot for sharing your story! :)
I love this engine sound
Next video pls Luxair
Thanks!! Happy that you've enjoyed it!
Luxair is not on the plans for now.
@@OnBoardHD ok
You are going to Svalbard, I didn’t know people was living there !😂It is also really impressive to see Asian tourists in the end of the world !
Asian tourists are everywhere!
Happy that you've enjoyed the Trip Report! :))
Asian tourists in northern Norway and Svalbard are really numerous, on a flight recently to Tromsø, half the cabin looked east Asian
Oh ! Thanks a lot for this information mate !
Great Views
Thank you! :)
The Airbus A320neo 4 years plane very nice airplane SAS. Svalbard thats interesting.
The A320Neo looks very nice on the SAS livery. I hope AF-KLM will bring back to SAS some good upgrade on the onboard service :)
What stunning scenery! I can understand why you wanted to see it, amazing what God did for us humans to enjoy.
unfortunately forgot to share all people with possibilities to see that. But then TH-cam were created./ ;)
Thanks a lot!
Glad that you liked it! :))
Plate tectonics and nature....none of the 5000 gods.
Que de horas habrán sido. Hasta mañana. ✈️✌️😊🙋♀️🇪🇦
Este vídeo, tras unos cuantos de centrarse en los servicios a bordo y demás, se focaliza en el viaje en sí. Que 2 destinos Tromso y Svalbard! Espero que os guste!
The end of the world would also refer to it as SAS’s final day as a member of Star Alliance before they join SkyTeam.
Well, KLM and Air France are definitely known for having both a great onboard product. I hope they will export some of that to SAS.
Amazing place 😍
Glad you liked it! :)
Me encantan tus videos eres mi yoituber favorito por cierto tienes pensado visitar la islas faroe
Muchas gracias!!
Por ahora no tengo nada planeado allí, a ver el próximo verano... :))
Seus são muito bons. WALDIR, Rio de Janeiro, BRASIL.
Muchas gracias!
Saludos! :)
Vaya vistas bien chulas 🏞
Muchas gracias, Mario :))
I can certainly see myself living in Svalbard, away from the heat and the lunatics that inhabit most of the rest of the world.
Haha It would be a nice disconnection yeah 😅
I am flying from Gatwick to Alicante next month with TUI
Thanks a lot, Paul!
haha To be honest I dont remember if the gate had even a number.
I don't even remember if there was a screen with the flights for the day...
Wish you a great trip! :))
I was on that Edelweiss when you landed in tromso
haha cool! Hope you got some nice memories back! :D
Great video
thank you! :)
WOW, such an incredible flight and so much information about that island with the funny clouds ;-) Thank you for sharing this valuable information ;-) However as for SAS premium plus or what ever it is called, no thanks ;-(
Thanks so much, Brum! It's always nice to hear from you! :)
Glad you enjoyed this one!
Yeah, the SAS Plus class in Europe is just a joke. Not worth it at all... But in my case, it was the only way to see in front of the engines and not get the views disturbed by the heat of the engines :)
Nice Video!
Thank you :)
I hope one day we will see a trip report of Lufthansa Allegris business class or premium economy
That would be amazing! Hopefully in the future! :)

So cool
Thanks a lot! :)
The breakfast is a Scandinavian open face sandwich. You are supposed to slice the bread roll in half horisontally and put butter on each half, and then put the salami on one and cheese on the other.
The breakfast is a joke. In fact, it's a joke by itself to call that "breakfast".
Great scenery 😅
Incredible one haha Thanks :)

Wonderful trip report :O Hope to see one with Norwegian soon:)
Thanks so much!!
We'll have Norwegian relatively soon on the channel ;)
Interesante el video.
gracias :)
Great video. Have you thought of tacking on clips of your destination after the flight?
Thanks, James :)
I do it sometimes... but when I'm on holidays I usually prefer to disconnect from TH-cam and stay focused on enjoying with family or friends. They are aware that recording, editing the videos... takes a lot of day to day time, si when we are together, they don't want me to continue recording things (except the flight itself, ofc).
Hullo guys hope you are all well greetings to you from Uganda
Hope you liked the video ✈️✈️
