We just put the plates back on. I've been experimenting with it on and off and different amounts of plates. We're ultimately making the baffle longer in effort to reduce the sound levels more.
Nope it's still up. I actually should go over it in a video. Some stuff changed a little haha. Thanks man. I'm looking forward to some more of your big ol smoker.
@@rulehardgarage9740 black on black cafe style. 84. I have to find out how to remove the driveshaft from engine remove the engine to replace the shift forks.
Do you have a manual? Seems like a lot of people can't find it. I do have a PDF copy. Also if I remember correctly the drive should unbolt under the boot near the frame. Let me find a way to make this PDF user manual easier to access.
Hey man did you have any issues going from a 4-2 to a 4-1 exhaust? I have a 1991 nighthawk 750 but im on the market for a 700S! And i just want to know if you had to rejet? Because with my nighthawk 750 it seems like the carbs dont like any sort of little mod. Do you think a 1984 nighthawk 700s in red and black with 11k original miles worth $1900?
Rule Hard Garage what did you end up rejecting too?? I picked up a 700sc and it had 4 into 1 on it but I bet they didn’t re jet. Going to look into it.
Cool. Everyone has their own thing. I like the sound of the 4-1 and I've never really owned a bike with a front fender. Always thought they look better without. Not the most convenient in the rain but I've ridden thousands of miles that way in the rain 🤷♂️.
Honda charging systems don't start actually charging until a certain RPM (each engine varies) is achieved. When the revs are below this, the system is discharging.
4Cylinder4Ever. Loved my Nighthawks. Had a 650 with bologna slice exhaust, then 2 700s’.
Love these bikes hope you get it road worthy soon!
She is on the road now. Check out some of the newer videos. Just got back from a trip.
I like it with the packing in (plates?).. first sample sound .. sounds amazing
Yeah that's how it's set up currently. Too loud with the end cap off IMO. It's a little noisy still but I call it music 🤷♂️
@@rulehardgarage9740 :) .. ride on
That sounds amazing
I bought mine years ago and it came with a yoshimura 4 into 1. I guess I was lucky
Oh yeah you don't see the aftermarket exhaust for them often or in good shape. I'm very happy with my exhaust though.
Sounds best with the plates

Awesome sound.
Thanks man👍
Sick intro Edit, love the bike, love the exhaust👌 you took down the whiteboard?😅

You'll be excited to know there is a new video this week updating the white board 😁
I cant wait to finish mine
Thanks I love the way it sounds. What year and color is yours?

I do not and i would really appriciate that i can rebuild a chevu motor with my eyes closed but this bike is killing me
No problem. I'll try to include it in a video.
There’s someone selling one of these near my house but stated that it hasnt run, I’d love to buy it but not sure about the risk...
There’s a few issues it can have it can be the electric starter and the carbs can’t stop it too

Great questions. Definitely need to rejet. I'd say that could be a good price depending on the condition.

Black out the exhaust did it to mine same bike looks alot better at least in my opinion
Yeah black would look nice for sure. I really wanted to keep some blink since it was a nice stainless muffler.
I like a front fender and dual exshaust fwiw...

How hard/expensive would it be to delete the second stock muffler?
Not sure what you mean. This exhaust has an aftermarket muffler.
@@rulehardgarage9740 I think he meant the other side of the stock two pipes lol. Take it off, free
is your taillight flaring when you throttle it because of a wiring issue or is that just something because of the air from the exhaust?
The battery I had in it for the video was very low so the light was getting brighter as it revved because of the charging system

Song name?
where did you get that exhaust?
I made it

I honestly can't remember what brand it was..some harley brand
