@@MetaNerdzLore The biggest design flaw is that the troops have to be standing. You want your forces to arrive to the battlefield rested, not fatigued. It would make more sense for them to have rows of seats that automatically retract to allow an open aisle for rapid exit.

I love that Rebels brought some legends vehicles back into canon in a beautiful design like this transport, the Imperial carrier and the support vessel. But I wish we saw more of that.

Same here, except that I recognized it when I first saw it on Rebels and it was never on my Xmas list, but I definitely remember the toy when it first came out.
The ITT may be not be as Iconic and recognisable as The AT-AT or AT-ST,It's by far my favourite Imperial Vehicle.

In the series called ' The Mandalorian' (in which you can also see this vehicle ) there is a clan of Mandalorians who use the saying 'This is the way' as a mantra.
When they say it they mean that something is right according to their code or that they agree about something. So basically I mean that the fact that Filoni made several references in Rebels (including this vehicle) is cool.
Anyway, I recommend you watching the Mandalorian.

something tells me that sienar ordered/ rpoduced waaaayyy to many TIE Cockpits, so they tried to use them anywhere else

You're right, carrying people on the outside is a bad idea. Why would you want to carry people on the outside of an armored vehicle? It kind of defeats the purpose of the armor. What if someone starts shooting at you? You have all that armor behind you, but nothing in front. And you don't even enough room to duck. All you can do is pray that you don't catch one in the face. And who would want to get stuck riding in a narrow box with no room to sit down? Imagine if you had to travel for several hours. What if it rains? What if it's freezing cold, and your travelling 90 mph? The wind chill would be insane.
If you want your men to be able to quickly jump out the sides, you could just put doors in the sides. Then everyone could ride inside where it's safer. If you want to shoot out the sides, you can have gun ports.

I remember seeing the original kenner toy in a store in around 1979 and thinking it was a bit meh because it was non-canon - then my friend got one for Christmas and i realised it was a pretty awesome toy.
The armour couldn't withstand my Y-Wing's proton bomb though :-)

Just imagine your a storm trooper and you have been training for years now and now it’s finally time to go fight for the empire you and a bunch of other storm troopers go into this vehicle then you realize your pretty much just standing in a metal box attached to a weaponized bus
I prefer the one in rebels the guns on the front could really make a difference
This model still has two laser cannons in the prow, they're fixed into the hull if you look closely, rather than being ball turreted. One reason to do this might be to install larger lasers, with more anti-vehicle potential but no ability to traverse (laser cannons in SW can shoot slightly off-axis though).

It was first used as a toy from the original movies. I loved it when I was a kid. Seeing it in the mandalorian was awesome. I love how the mandalorian uses all kinds of things that were only toys

The imperial troop transport from Kenner was one of the first Star Wars toys I got for Xmas. I still have it somewhere, lying in a box. I squealed like a little baby when it appeared in Mando.

The Galactic Empire should have made many types of troop carriers for the need of control of planets. There were hundreds of planets that are probably more empty and less civilized, and troops transports are needed for rapid deployment. Though considering that this thing is almost indestructible with its armor its probably very expensive, but the troop racks I considered very hazardous to the troops, because both of exposed to the elements and the lack of protection to said troopers. That said this transport is a all around transport for the Empire and no doubt it will spread fear and power across the Empire.

Allso could you please make a video about the AT-AT variant seen on Kashyyk in Jedi fallen order, because it can't possibly be the same model seen in any other Star wars media. And if I'm not wrong it might be slightly different than the ones shown in the Rebels TV-show.

I remember a friend of mine had the Kenner toy of this when we were kids (late 70's early 80's). He had 6 stormtroopers for it.
I'm glad to see the troop transport in the Mandalorian series. I still have the Kenner Troop Transport vehicle back in the 70's with sound f/x like the troop engine, laser/stun rifles, Stormtrooper, C-3PO and R2-D2. I even have the dvd documentary of Plastic Galaxy: The Story of the Star Wars Toys that show one of Kenner's designers did a prototype mock up of the original one, with a black R2-D2 figure that came with it, but never made.

Empire: Spends enough money to craete nearly indestructible armored tanks for their troops to safely be in.

Their armour actually does save them, both in Canon and Legends. It disperses the blaster bolt so that oftentimes (but not always) the trooper is knocked down or unconscious rather than killed.

Legit, for April fools day you should make a video like this with one of the ships from the movie Spaceballs. There’s a short lived tv series for Spaceballs as well that you could pull info from. You’d need to do this in the same tone you do with these videos.

Because Star Wars is mostly focused around the wars part, and most vehicles need either strong armor or tons of speed to survive more than 5 seconds on a battlefield

Sorry but from a military perspective, the troop transport doesn’t make much sense.
If it’s an armored troop transport then you’d expect the troops to be protected and not have their upper torso exposed.

@@soldat88hun Yeah, it's definitely better for police work. You can also stick cargo or prisoners (yay meatshields and imperial morals) in the little slots.
It was base on the old toy, a action figure transport or rack. So when it was brought in to comic/legend it was brought in exactly size and they did not modify it much. That why the old version look a bit wanky.
The newer version they try to fix it up so that it make sense.
Also it does have a deflector shield.

I've had an mlc-3 toy my dad used to own back in the 80's and I never really knew it if it was actually a starwars vehicle. Glad to know. Also his millenium falcon but the poor thing is one quad laser canon put of the 4. And plastic turned into a sand color.they both look like a shoretrooper armor piece now

2:29 well, that makes an idea on how strong the cannons of an AT-AT are, since in Jedi Fallen Order you literally one shot those things, with that I'm sure heavy vehicles could be the answer to kill that transport, other than that, apparently, they're pretty much umbreakable, unless you have a ion weapon

According to wookiepedia, canon version of the TX-225 assault tank is in fact tracked, and not a repulsor craft vehicle. They messed it up, and LEGO version of the thing ended up being a hover tank. I was confused when I first saw the Rogue One, as the lego version of the thing, which I saw in a review, was a hover tank, yet the plop in the movie had a pair of tracks, which was visible only in a few shots. I thought it was some kind of a film making error

I always liked the toy but it always seemed underscaled even when it was first released. I hope they upscale it to close to 1/18 scale when it hits the store shelves again

I used have palitoy one..with 6 pods and rear compartment for storage..had immobilizer collars that put over figures to keep them in check.. was in old marvel comic story too..titled "Dark Night's Devilry" mustve been very early 1980s..earliest appearance? (some guerillas ambushed it on sandy world..they were brutal fighters not typical rebels 😉)

Really hope they make a LEGO set from this. Since it got reintroduced in the Mandalorian, I would highly suspect they would make one. I know they made a smaller one for a battle pack, but I’m talking about a proper, full sized one. That I would absolutely buy 2 of.

@@operatorspectre7428 True, for the 501st Walker they released Yoda along with a Sniper Droid with it (a second 501st Trooper and an Umbaran qould have been better while the Sniper Droid be placed on the Kenobi/Rex Speeder Bike).

The sith trooper one looks aight but I'm confused why it comes with 2 jet troopers 1 sith trooper and an officer.. Like why not include 2 sith troopers, 1 jet and and officer... Or even 2 jet troops... And the old first order battle pack came with 1 trooper and 1 heavy trooper.. Nobody needs that many officers..
4:44 there's some weird looking vehicles in this shot but I think what looks to be a lamda shuttle on tank treads is hands down the weirdest. Although it would probably make a decent tank its got fairly high fire power and good shields.

In the second to last episode of the second season, you can spot a destroyed tie crawler I. The background on the scrap planet
also if you notice the design on the tank at timestamp 7:50 unlike the drawings of it here the doors open into the inner craft so the troopers would not have to remain standing and exposed
but it is a logical, practical and most of all in lore believeable infantry fighting vehicle
