    This library has such an amazing sound. Imo it's one of the best sounding on the market right now. I'm looking forward to more stuff recorded in this room.

    Vielen Dank für die Vorstellung! Zögere ein wenig, da ich bereits das BBCSO habe. Es scheint, als sei dies ein ganz anders Kaliber. Wird wohl im nächsten Sale gekauft!

    Ahh I didn't realise you could activate multiple articulations this way!
    I'm assuming that's available in all of their other libraries too? Great tip!! :D
    Edit: I would just like to add, those high strings tremolo are beautifully haunting. So LOTR

    Hi Alex! Wie gefallen dir die Pauken, Piattis und allgemein kurze Percussion? Spielbarkeit, Klang, Integration?
    Das Abbey Studio One ist ja dafür bekannt einen tollen Sound für diese Art von Klang zu haben. Haben sie das gut umgesetzt?

    the abbey road one plug-in and all other products from spitfire does it work with Apple M1?

    • @AlexPfeffer
      @AlexPfeffer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Abandonded the Apple platform a long time ago and will most likely never look back. I would check back with the Spitfire support :)

    Thanks for this, made my decision clear: I will go for Albion One. The sound might not be as "epic" but it looks much more versatile to me (Brunel Loops, Steam Band...)

    • @AlexPfeffer
      @AlexPfeffer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, it totally depends, if you don't care for the Studio One sound of AR and getting into something more versatile then Albion One may be a better choice when it comes to Spitfire libs.

    I don't understand why libraries of this caliber leave out staccato strings. That's an instant deal breaker for me.

    Hi, what library do you recommend? Abbey road one or Albion One? is there any difference in using these libraries with DAW logic or cubase? Thanks

    • @AlexPfeffer
      @AlexPfeffer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, both libs should work the same way disregarding the DAW you use (now that would be actually unfair :D) ... I would sit down and compare the library's content, because Albion One comes with lots of sound design stuff etc. while AR One only focuses on the orchestra. However, AR One as been recorded in THE Abbey Road Studio One. Of course the Lyndhurst stage for Albion One is beautiful too. So whatever catches your heart :)

    Their website says ARO has legato but it doesn't show in the plugin UI. Is it not supported? Thanks!

    • @AlexPfeffer
      @AlexPfeffer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      where does it say that this library has legato?

    • @LevyCarneiro
      @LevyCarneiro 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AlexPfeffer the first or second paragraph on their product page. But I checked with their support and that means the next additions/packs to be sold separately.

  • @pigpog2307
    @pigpog2307 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    No legato or staccato for the strings patch ! Why ?

    • @AlexPfeffer
      @AlexPfeffer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a staccato patch ... check the website and read about this first release of Abbey Road and you will notice that this will be continued. I assume while the first package is an ensemble focused pack there will most likely more detailed individual instruments and articulations in the next pack.

    Hello! I know that with so many microphones it gives some problems, it is okay for me to use only one microphone because it already seems very good to me; I have an i mac 27 processor 3.2 Ghz intel core I5, memory 32GB of ram at 1867 Mhz DDR3; I am used to working very well with kontakt but I know that these libraries are heavier anyway..so do you think that is usable with My computer?

    • @AlexPfeffer
      @AlexPfeffer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, sorry I left the Mac world around 7 years ago so I am not sure how these computer perform. From a technically level it should work alright if your drives are SSD. You could also deactivate a few tracks or render them to audio in case you get into any trouble. Also working with higher buffer sizes helps (512-1024)

    Thank you! Unfortunately I can't tell the improvement to my old albion 1

    • @AlexPfeffer
      @AlexPfeffer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is not about improvement or if something sounds better or not. It is simply the Abbey Road Studio One sound instead of Air Lyndhurst. If I have a customer who asks for a bit of a more Hollywood feeling or refers to Star Wars, Lotr or anything that has been recorded there, you most likely want to produce your tracks with that library :)

    Thanks Alex but I watched all of this 25 minute video and learned nothing extra from what Spitfire already demonstrated. Would have been nice to hear at least your views on it. Your other videos always contained a view on the library's application. Time wasted for me unfortunately.

    • @AlexPfeffer
      @AlexPfeffer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry for wasting your time. I talked about my views and why I love and wanted this library at the very end of the video. Also, I felt like doing a video again by simply going through all the patches without lots of blah :) (usually I also get message of people telling me or dropping out of a video because of too much talking).

    • @citizenworld8094
      @citizenworld8094 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AlexPfeffer Thanks Alex, but with respect, you didn't give any view except to say that you liked it. I watched your vid until the very end. You loved the library and get to the end of the queue on that one. Waste of time except to showcase the samples.

    • @AlexPfeffer

      @@citizenworld8094 Hey, you know I really appreciate feedback and I try to constantly improve but right in the beginning I already say that I try to talk as little as possible and that we hop through the patches one by one. I wanted to do this because many people out there would love to hear ALL the sounds that are available and there are even NO TALK videos on TH-cam for showcasing stuff. I explained at the end that I had to get the library because in Studio One of Abbey Road all of those great scores have been recorded and it is finally great to see a sample lib developer making it possible for people like us to have those sounds available to use. What info are you specifically looking for? I just love it. I also didn't want to make this video too long because I felt like 25 mins is already enough. If you are curious about how I work with Abbey Road One or any more info you can check out my live streams over at Twitch. I think we spent around 2 hours on exploring the library and started writing with it. You can check it out on Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/815263784

    • @citizenworld8094
      @citizenworld8094 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AlexPfeffer Thanks Alex for your reply but that is "exactly" my point. There was zero talk - and therefore zero insight and therefore zero contribution for 25 minutes on how these sounds could be applied in video games or media composition. Spitfire already gave us the sounds and the sales pitch and there are dozens of TH-cam videos on it. We didn't need 25 minutes of you rummaging through them enjoying yourself and telling us how great they are. You make video games right? So what did you buy Abbey One for?

    • @AlexPfeffer
      @AlexPfeffer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@citizenworld8094 Ok thanks for your feedback. It is actually hard to please everyone because people ask for "less talk" videos and say "We don't need another ____" and others for more talk videos because "We don't need any more _____". To answer your question: I got Abbey Road One because of having the sound available of the Abbey Road Studio One sound. So, in terms of video games, whenever I quickly need, let's say, the sound/vibe of a high-class Hollywood movie in the style of Lord of the Rings or Star Wars, etc I know that I can quickly create this soundscape with Abbey Road One. I thought I summed that up perfectly in my last statement of the video. Are there any specific absolutely groundbreaking sus, trem, or stac patches that sound better? No, not at all. It is simply the sound that I am after because for me, the room information is absolutely vital for a great sound and everything that I have to sculpt less (meaning dry samples and applying reverb), is better. That is actually all.
