ESPN has been in decline for years. Many have 'cut the [cable] cord so less revenues. Many disliked some of the 'woke' attitudes they have shown, especially their position with the 'take the knee' protest during the National Anthem at sports events. They also don't have the rights to certain sports they used to, have too many channels, their website is lousy. That SAS wants such big money, likely so he can say he, as a Black man, is the highest paid sports commentator.

Pat McAfee for the most part has the guys on the show that he's always had, shams has been on for years. Rapaport isn't on only because his show is on at the same time, but he's made appearances on the show while it's on ESPN

Guessing espn wanted him to kiss up to the wnba and he only apologized and stopped talking about it at all( wise move I’d say). Mcafee will be fine once away from ESPN.
Pat doesn’t finish contracts because he outgrows them. Pat has become so successful so quickly that the contracts didn’t make sense by the final year or two.
Stopped watching ESPN 10 years ago, but back then, Scott Van Pelt was the best thing on that network.

My father doesn’t love Stephen A Smith. My father thinks that he knows nothing about sports since he haven’t played any sports, and that Stephen A is more about himself then commentating on sports. I kind of agree with him, since some times he doesn’t give good takes, and some things he says I don’t agree with.
In my opinion, I think Pat McAfee should create a petition to fire Norm B. Williamson, I mean people love his show, they also his content, and many young people love him. The last thing McAfee wants is for someone to sabotage his own show. It’s called the Pat McAfee show not the Williamson Show or the ESPN Show.

When Pat came to ESPN he said very clearly, his show WOULD NOT CHANGE, Guests or otherwise. And for the most part he has held his word. He stopped saying “fuck”, FOR ESPN. And Ian Rapsheet only stopped coming on the show cause Ian got his own daily show in the same window as Mcafee after Mcafee “stood on the table in meetings” for Ian to come on the show.
