He's not acting at all IMO, he never said he wasn't a villain(in terms of society he seemed to say he's not a villain as in someone trying to harm people for no reason basically he said even if he's a villain, he would be a vigilante without actually saying it) actually he seemed to imply otherwise, he just pointed out that he is still a hero which depending on if you mean Hero the word or Pro-Hero the job in MHA means two very different things, basically, he could have said, despite being a villain he is a hero, or he's saying even if he was a villain, he would still be a hero. So yeah, I think you're correct that he could still be the traitor but I just wouldn't say he's acting.
No such thing as good guys and bad guys. It’s either that one of them are trying to survive and the other is trying to shoot them down, for example Dr. Freeze. He just wanted to save his dying life. But on other examples, some of them might not be right in the head and maybe if society didn’t see them as a villains, they would see just a person either trying to survive has mental issues or is just evil😢 - wise guy
No one can be 100% good or 100% bad. Like an old lady who killed somebody but spent her life as a doctor saving lives, she isn't 100% good nor 100% bad. Or a soldier who shot and killed his enemy's, but was fighting to save his country from people trying to make them slaves. Twice does very bad things, but he is also a person, who most likely has done good things in his life.
