Lyrics:
Sunrise, sunrise
Looks like mornin' in your eyes
But the clock's held 9:15 for hours
Sunrise, sunrise
Couldn't tempt us if it tried
'Cause the afternoon's already come and gone
And I said
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
To you
Surprise, surprise
Couldn't find it in your eyes
But I'm sure it's written all over my face
Surprise, surprise
Never something I could hide
When I see we made it through another day
And I said
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
To you
Now the night
Will throw its cover down
On me again
Ooh, and if I'm right
It's the only way
To bring me back
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
To you
Hoo, ooh, yeah
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
Hoo, ooh, ooh, ooh
To you

Hello✌️
Yep, sunny S. A... And good music is always good
I’m so glad music like this exists.
listen to hkfiftyone someday
I swear Norah Jones has the most gorgeous voice I've ever heard. And she is such a classic beauty.
I agree with you.
It's incredibly smooth isn't it
And she sounds exactly the same in concert!! So very talented.
Great voice indeed! You should also check out Rachel Yamagata, especially the song 'Duet'.
Agree
Nor's music is truly magical. It relaxes me tremendously. They should prescribe it as a medication for depression.
totally, indeed Norah´s music, especially first two record were part of the soundtrack trough my rough chemoterapy, it helped me find peace and comfort back then and now.
The irony here is that the song is actually about depression.
lol
My dog has a tumor and will have to be put down soon. He used to smile when he heard this song and I know I'm going to play it/ sing it to him when I hold him for the last time going into the vet
Michael: may your friend face the end without pain and sleep in peace. God bless
Your comment just moved me to tears. I can imagine he was very special 💖 & I know how that feels.. they are family. Best wishes one year on
Sorry for your loss. Ironically I found this song Because of Winn Dixie.

Happy 45th Birthday Norah Jones!(Born March 30, 1979)😃🥳🎂🎉🎊🎈🎁🍾🥂🎀🌷🌹💐👍👏🙌
Makes me cry thinking of the innocence of my youth. We act as if we are so different but this song is a pure indicator that we are very much the same. Embrace our youth... This is my youth. This is your youth. Let us not forget. I write this at my work desk, with tears in my eyes.
How do we end up missing ourselves, when we are here all along?! Our inner child is crying to simply be remembered but we let the unimportance of life consume that very inner child. I am speaking to you, I am speaking to me, I am speaking to us.... Remember. Simply, remember.
I was here. 03/13/2021 Covid survivor.
Beautifully put, and ironically I am seeing your comment exactly one year later! May you live your best life, and allow your inner child to shine forward and bring youth unto others. Many blessings my friend
I love you. Let’s help each other remember and let our inner child be seen and heard :)
I cried with your comment 🥲 so beautifully written and so true 💛
i don't know what else to say exept thank you
I wish TH-cam had a feature where we could bookmark comments.
So simple yet so true.
No one understands how much this song means to me ! When I was 11 my family took a road trip to the Dells and this song came on about 5 times during the trip. I fell in love with it ! It's so relaxing! I've literally been looking for the song my entire life it feels like . I haven't been able to find it anywhere or explain to other people how the song went. I thought maybe the song didn't actually exist, but I would sing it to myself all the time , then yesterday (11 years later) I hear the song while walking through the mall and I SCREAMED!! Now I know the song ! I feel so complete because I swore up and down I would never find that song in my LIFE! ... Ok that is all enjoy the amazing song! 😁😁😁
+ElleRandomness Isn't incredible how music can do that?
+ElleRandomness Music is so amazing...I feel the same way about certain songs that I associate with certain childhood memories.
I'm so happy for you!! This song is indeed amazing, I love it!! Ever since I first listened to it it's been a favourite of mine :)
mine was Samson by Regina Spektor. hehehe
omg, i'm so happy for you!!!! :)
If the hulk were real, he'd probably play Norah Jones' music to turn back into Bruce Banner. It's so soft. It's like you could make a pillow out of it.
My brother you speak the truth
I first heard this song as a scared 18 year old on my first night in prison and instantly felt better for a few minutes I laid back and closed my eyes on the top bunk and felt free from then on I knew I could escape every night with the aid of a small stereo so I just want to say thank you Norah for getting me through the most difficult time of my life
Who highlighted my message was my thanku actually seen by Norah
😂😂😴
Ryan Surtees it was a joke bro
why were you in prison?
Luis Pezzini I got into a fight outside a bar the person I was fighting got knocked out and hit there head on the Kurb they got brain damage from it the only way I feel remotely not too responsible is the fact that they threw the first punch i ducked and threw a counter punch which knocked them out
My mom passed away in 2016 and this is her favorite song. When I listen this song I feel her presence.
My mother, too, died in 2016

No obscenity, no nudity, no swearing, no promotion of excess, lust, greed, or any other kinds of immorality. Beautiful.
Immorality don't bring no Immortality, right on.

Really. I bet you wouldn't be here without nudity, excess and lust. ^^
agreed something pure organic wev'e overlooked but sooths are souls. hmm, is this whats called being real? is this a souls song?
Yeah she just likes getting banged by teddy bears now and again
I was sitting in the backseat of my mom’s car with her and my sister in the front. I remember the heat of the day like it was yesterday. It was summer and I was just a kid back then enjoying the simple life. We were going to the beach that summer with the windows rolled down and I remember my mom and sister laughing which was not always the case - so it was a good day! This was back when everyone had a bunch of old cd’s lying just around in their cars and suddenly my mom put on Norah’s album ‘Feels Like Home’. The album and this song have been my life soundtrack since that day, and it made me do my own music after many years of listening.
- Thanks Norah
I checked your channel to see if you're doing music. Im glad you are. Hypothermia song is haunting. I've always liked nora jones (more so her older songs)
Omg yes that was me too. I used to cry when I was like 3 (and beyond) to her music for no reason
No nudity

I am a hard rock musician, love Van Halen, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Metallica, etc. I crank loud rock in my car. I can't get enough of it. Yet, this woman's voice puts a calm in my universe, brings my pulse way down, cures my agitations. Love it.
Josey Wales agreed. Alice n chains😈😈😈❤ this song is great though too, every spectrum needs variety
Congratulations
Me too .. I'm Van Halen all the way ... But NJ voice is so beautiful .
So you be Josey Wales?
@@keithbentley6081 I be. Reckon I’m right popular. You a bounty hunter?
My husband asked me last night “If I could listen to one song for the rest of my life what would it be?” Immediately this song came to mind! So much peace of mind in this song.
I have a memory of this song when I was in 1st grade. They played this song at my elementary school before the morning announcements. I was always half asleep but entranced by her voice. Its a sort of surreal memory I have. I’m 22 now and heard this song for the first time since then. It brought me back to my childhood. Very grateful.
Many years ago as night drew in whilst travelling in Europe I stopped at a cafe just to chill for a while. Lots of people were outside in the warm Mediterranean surroundings. Some sitting on chairs and some on a wall close by. Sunrise came on, the first time I had heard it, and when it got to the first 'whooo-oooo-oooo' almost in unison the group of dutch ladies and gents joined in... It's always stuck with me and was the moment I feel in love with both the song and Norah
beautiful picture
that is weaving
amazing how music reaches far and wide, and touches the hearts of so many
NDittt1 i can imagine 🥰🥰🥰
I wish I could have a moment like this
Happy ending, thank fuck. The way you began, I thought maybe you were getting drawn in to Castle Dracula or something. Probably I'm stoned.
When I was 4 years old, my mom play this music on the car, and when she say "ouuu" I sing ouuuh with her :)

You mean Planned-demic?
Hahahaha, wow, Yes! You speak for the both of us.. forgot for a long long time and then saw the first morning light coming in through the window, and without thinking started to hum ‘sunrise.. sunrise’ had even forgotten it was Norah’s

The moment when I realize that I’m falling for someone, this song starts playing in head nonstop. Even if I haven’t listened to it in years.
This song gives me an undescrible feeling of freedom, peace and hope. While listening to it I imagine myself driving to a peaceful coastline while the sky is painted by the sun rising, and it vibes like a new beginning
Hello 👋 Alice. How are you doing? Hope you are fine. I'm Mark Clifford and am from Denver Colorado, where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
I miss old days back at early 2000s.. Life was less complicated and positive vibes are our norm..
Saying hi to old me.. And having my Norah's private party and remembering good old times! 💕
Everyone has a story about this song! I find that amazing, the power of music!!!
You are so Right ...
She has such a lovely tone.. I guess that's what hooked people to her voice.
She looks amazing now for 43, the same 20 years later!
happy 45th Norah ❤
My mom would put her CDs on in the car when I was little and I'd always fall asleep to them and she'd have to carry me inside when we got home. It makes me so nostalgic, I'm instantly transported to my childhood and even today if I'm having trouble falling asleep I just listen to her :)
Saskia AHHHHH! This is the exact same with me. Norah Jones, Shania Twain, Eagles, Lucie Silvas☺️
Saskia I put my daughter to sleep as a baby with Norah. My daughter is now 13 :)
Awww... That's so cute. :')
Saskia I totally understand how it takes you back to your childhood. my mom would play her and we would get dish towels and dance around in the kitchen all fancy. love Norah Jones and the sounds make me think of being little and my family being together and not having any worries....those were the days
I would like to know if there is any Brazilian music that has the same effect on you?
Why is there no kid to say this is wholesome and/or underrated, or one of the fifteen words that you use to describe the whole world? Where is that one kid who stumbled upon this from a cover, or a tv show or an older sibling or a parent?
Always in love with this song. It's timeless.
This song puts a smile on my face, and sunshine in my heart every time I hear it.
Norah's voice is a cure to a stressful day ;) love you Norah
she’s so beautiful
Indeed.🔅
We had a new born baby with colick when this song came out. She cried constantly. We would play this song to soothe her and ourselves. This song still brings back powerful emotions. She is 19 now. ❤️ Thank you for this song, Nora!
Norah was a true revelation in that time.the innoccence in her appearance, her pure voice , the sweetest melodies and beautiful lyrics were somthing longing to happen, something that we all waited to hear on the radio.☀📻🧡
never ever find the musician like this again in this era I think...
perfect symphony.
This song reminds me of warm summer evenings, sitting by the campfire with my loved ones, watching bats and fireflies, and just feeling ALIVE😍😍
Mon fils est né à la sortie de cette chanson ça sœur de 15 ans de plus ma fille, lui chantait cette chanson.

It was my grandpa’s favorite song. He passed away when I was 11 years old . But by hearing this song, I can meet him again.

My friend walked down the aisle to this song. It was perfect! Still so beautiful 😊

It's such a remarkable feeling when you finally find "that" song. It's a hard feeling to match.

Excelente voz norah Jones.
Take me back maybe....a decade? More? Norah Jones has the most beautiful voice! So fresh and lovely
Norah Jones is an amazing woman with an amazing voice. She doesn't need to be half or totally naked to make people like her songs. I reallllllllly love her and her songs, a simple lady with a great character ❤
This is my daughter's "birth song". She was born on a sunny morning in 2004 and this song was playing on my CD player. Ever since, on her birthday morning, she sits with me and we play this song.
This is so beautiful 💖
This song sheds light even in the darkest days.
Listening to sunrise while watching the sunrise at the beach!! gotta love it!!!

Hello 👋 Maria. How are you doing? Hope you are fine
Modestly dressed, her eyes so intense, her mannerisms so fun yet ladylike. She exudes the power of feminine majestic presence in this video.
She would weaken the strongest willed man with a simple smile.

Karmugilan Panneerselvam And who asked?
I had an mp3 player 15 years ago. It had this song on it. I just found it again. Tears were shed. Thank you.
Sunrise, sunrise, everything's gonna be alright.. 🌅
This song is what if feels like to come back home after being away on a long trip.
It's what it feels like to get a big hug from a loved one you have seen in a while.
It's the audio version of sitting on your deck during a thunderstorm and listening to the rain hitting the roof.
It reminds me of the time I rode a riverboat down the Mississippi river a few years ago.
Something about the gentleness of the melody just makes you feel safe, like no matter where you are in the world, you're always home. ❤
I love 'Sunrise" It's my favorite song while driving long distances! Smooth style and a beautiful voice!

Sebastian Gottret Thanks you! :)
This takes me back to being 14yo on our Duke of Edinburgh expedition and we got lost for hours. Our teacher came in the minibus in the dark and found us. This song was playing on the radio and I always thought the lights of the old minibus were the sunrise in the song! I remember that sudden feeling of safety.
I remember back in early 2000s when I was in the primary value and I'd wake up this song because my dad loves her incredibly and just laying there feeling safe and free she gave me such peace I had to go and seek her albums❤❤ and now I play this for my son and I know his kids will know this peace as well
Thank you, Norah.
This song gives me a feeling of relaxation on a rainy day.
what is this music video? its so weird, yet strangely beautiful
I need sunrise before I go to bed. Love you Norah!
When my oldest daughter was a baby and toddler, this song would immediately calm her down and mesmerize her!!
I heard this beautiful song once, maybe over the radio. Then now when I was going through my news feed, I came across a photo about one of my favourite novel (all the bright places, in case you were wondering). In the Photoshop there was a word 'Sunrise' and I immediately remembered this song. And so, I came here and wrote this.
So good.
How can a song this simple be so good?
Perfect song for breakfast buffets and early mornings at the cafe
my momma used to sing this to me ask a baby, reminds me of her everytime i hear it. Bought her the cd the other day, love you mom

Who's listening in November of 2023? Love the nostalgic feeling this song brings me, Norah! Blessings!
My kids are definitely gonna be Norah Jones babies😢😢😢💕
For me, Nora was a well-kept secret for many, many years - as if she was a beautiful rose that blossomed in the next county near a road I had traveled often but never noticed her splendor. I wasn't looking. Now, often I stop and enjoy her haunting fragrance, the perfect symmetry of her vocal "petals" and a graceful stem without thorns. Natural, relaxed, confident. Watching her play piano or keyboards is equally enchanting. Thanks for being here Nora - and your father before you. I'm sure he listens in Heaven - where we true fans feel we are whenever you sing.
Nice spokin her voice hit us all deep
Sweetness
I've been in love with Norah Jones since I first heard voice. Pure peace.
Sitting in the back of the car late at night, through the city after a long trip home, this song and the passing lights was therapeutic
Im leaving for basic training today, I’ve been trying to keep everything inside, but hearing this song made me cry more than any other song. All the childhood memories make me so happy but it’s sad that it all has to end
Norah Jones this song (sunrise) Is beautiful. It gives peace, quiet... Congratulations for your song
I really want to go back when i was just a kid and my sister still lived with me, our dad would play this song and we would calmly listen to it.
This song makes very nostalgic and quite sad
I still love and I'll always do
The visuals remind me of the kids shows I used to watch back in the 2000’s early 2010’s
“And the night will throw its cover down on me again…”
She should become one of the judges of American Idol. She can help in jazz/blues genre get more mainstream among the youth and teens.
This song brings such great memories. It's so mellow and refreshing every time I hear it. Thank you Norah!
This song makes me think of my older sister. She would have this song on repeat when I was a kid... I love this song.
One of the best songs of the 2000s.
Mine and my grandmas song x lost her last year to cancer but she’s always here with me ❤️
