Maybe it seems too religious? But I first read it in Clan of the Cave Bear, and the character Iza is the mother of a girl called Ayla. Ayla got pretty popular and people love Isla so I think Iza deserves a chance!

I'm Welsh and speak the language and Caradoc to me just sounds like a very masculine, romantic name. Can also be spelt Caradog which is more how it's pronounced, like ca-ra-dog
