SJ I just named my tiny playful kitten Pipaluk thanks to you. I marinate in names a lot in my spare time and you are a huge part of that so that name wiggled to the surface at just the right time. She’s a white blue-eyed Siamese and I feel like those colors are very Greenland but there’s so many reasons it uniquely fits perfectly. Thank you - you’re still affecting names with these videos years later ❤ (She goes by Pip/Pips/Pipsey/Pipsqueak/Pippy long stocking etc. I just love a name with a million nickname options)
Miss Lavender was one of my favorite characters in Anne of Avonlea. Sequoia is a Toyota SUV here in the U.S. so a bit harder to use I know a double barrel Bobby Rose and I think it’s adorable Barbie had a little sister named Skipper when I was a kid 😂
Hi love, I'm visually impaired and can't see the names on the screen I would really appreciate if you put them in the description of the video so I can read it as well. Also my new legal name is Lauren
My name is Vail and I have been waiting so long to see it pop up on one of your videos! I have a different spelling, but I have always loved my name and it’s uniqueness. I sometimes have to repeat myself when making introductions, but that usually leads to great conversations about my parent's choice and some good laughs. Another great batch of the loveliest names SJ!
I like to read folks name tags, especially in small towns, met someone named Thyme and Somerton. Their names are memorable while being easy to spell ☺️
My daughters name is Wylder Rose. We had never heard it before (just the masculine Wilder), until recently as it’s becoming more popular. But we still love it
This is one my husband and I have on our short list of girl's names! Due in October but don't know what we're having so maybe there will be another Elowen around then :)
I love a name that could probably be considered in this group, nature inspired for sure. Valley for a girl, not sure of spelling tho. Could also be Vallie, Vallee.
I'm not pregnant, and not even trying, but I've been loving making lists of names. I had Faye picked for a middle name but because of my religious beliefs, I felt it was wrong to use. Hearing what Fei means makes me feel as though it might fit better based on meaning and removing the fear. Thank you
I love all your videos @SJ was wondering if you could link the videos that are like a Boy/Girl separates or one's that are similar, in the details section? For some reason I have a hard time finding the videos that are like a 2 parter. Especially if I watch them later.
Marvelous list! Jocasta may not be the luckiest of names, with the whole Oedipus thing, but I've always liked it. The only one I couldn't go with would be Aura. It sounds nice, but I've had migraines my whole life, and to me it just means migraine aura :-(
My mums nickname is Bobby…. Yet her name is Heather…. Bobby comes from her older brother who was less than 2 yrs old couldn’t say baby to describe her and kept saying Bobby 😂….. nearly 60 years later and it’s stuck! And since then it’s been honoured as a middle name for my nephew so was a way to honour his grandma with only close family knowing.
Millaray is pronounced "mia-rye". A double "ll" in Spanish is pronounced like a "y". Ray at the end isn't pronounced like "ray of light" in English but closer to "rye", like rye bread. While Jocasta is a pretty name, she's the mother of Oedipus in the play Oedipus Rex and she sleeps with her son and then hangs herself. Something to consider before using. And lastly, Musette is a French word, but it means backpack or rucksack.
Good to know but it depends where the child is going to grow up let's be honest. No one's going to pronounce it like that in UK and I like how it sounds in English tbh 👍
Noooo!! Leave Ariadne out of this! 😂 I have been hiding this name for YEARS and have now seen it twice in the past month. It is such a beautiful name and I’m very bittersweet she’s finally getting out there 😕🖤
It has been on my list as Mariadne, which I personally think is a little more wearable but equally as pretty. This is my holy grail name that I’ve tried to keep secret haha
Hahaha love this. When I was a kid no one was called Amelie in UK at least but now it's more popular and I don't know how to feel! I thought I was the only one 😭
That timing though, my sister (who’s black) is about to have her second little girl this month and we went for an unusual name! Nothing official yet but I will say it when she’s here and it is :p and her big sis’s new middle name too (none until she’s born) Have a nice safe day all and be kind to all!
I think Wrenley is a really boho name and I thought it was super cute, but my husband doesn’t like boho so we ended up naming our girl born last November Renley instead. It felt like a more modern/southern version 😂 another boho feeling name (from a relative close to us) is Summerlin, so a cute twist on the name Summer
Musetta / Musette is Middle French. It means "little bagpipe" It's also the name of the dance that went along with the instrument. Musetta is a role in the opera La Boheme
I love Solveig! Lavender, Sherwood (I prefer this one for a boy but I can definitely see it for anyone) Evanthe, Pipaluk, Circe (prefer this to the GoT spelling) Fleur, Hero, Amoret, Ramone/Ramona, Twila, Musette, Ceridwen, Somerild, Ariadne, Calypso, Vale, Evangeline, Jocasta, Reverie, Bibiana, Daphne, Tallulah (I'd porbably go with Lulu or Tula for the nickname) and Aura! I know a Sequoia in her early 20s, she wears it very well. Yardley reminds me of Yeardley Smith, the voice actress who plays Lisa Simpson.
We love your videos. Second baby (unknown gender) is due in a couple of weeks. We love Esca and Bibiana for a girl. Our first baby is Elowen. Which one would you pick?
I love your lists But I’m so happy that I’ve never seen my top girl name on your channel! 😅🤫😉 Either I’m really not hip or I’m super ahead of the curve! I hope to keep her quiet for the next couple of years until I have a baby.
I love E names and I'm pregnant with my second, we won't know the gender until birth but if I have a baby girl I'm considering Elowyn, or Elovie! I've never heard of Elovie or really seen it but I saw Elodie and thought it would be nice with a "V", but I don't know if people would have a hard time with it and find it confusing. I don't want my children to have to explain their names constantly like I've always had to!
Eos reminds me of the cosmetic/ lip balm company. Skipper is Gilligan's Island tv series show character and Barbie's little sister. Allegra is an American allergy medication. i'm sure in a different countries or some people "in the states"( US ..USA whatever you call America) is a great name. Evanthe, Cersei, Calico, Talwyn, Indra, Ramone, Vale, Twila, Ceridwen is very cute. Brisa might be cute, it means breeze.
Baby name help please ?! 🥰 Our first baby girl due in August after 3 boys! I commented on another video we were going to call our baby girl , Navy James . But I now have heard the name Story and absolutely love it . There is a story behind her being here , which is pretty special , and that makes me love the name even more . Please help ❤️ Story James or Navy James
First girl after three boys and you give her the name James? No hate, just curious. My bro and SIL had a girl after four boys and my SIL went ham with the girly-ness for her fluke (kid after her was another boy 😆) I LOVE Story!
@@shanasheinfeld6006 Aw thanks , it’s such a different name , I could really picture a little girl called Story. My husbands name is Stevie James and he wanted to call her Stevie which is cute , but I had to Vito because it would become so confusing and like you said , I thought 🤦🏻♀️ it’s too “ masculine “ after having 3 boys! So we settled on James as the middle name ! Xx
I have a one year old Story :) Her name is Story Eleanore. I dreamt her name before we knew she was a girl, and when she was born it was as if she chose it herself. We get nothing but compliments and have never met another Story in person. Navy is also lovely!!
Hi is there anyway you can come up with drag names? I need help desperately I want something pretty and elegant love the name Cali and Ella but feel they are lacking a last name. Would be open to other suggestions and names thank you 😊

Have a nice safe day! And hope you’re all well!(:
Hey Sarah! Fellow U.K. here. I’ve been watching your channel for a couple of years now and love your vids! Any advice on names for us? We are family planning at the moment. I love nature based boho names like Poppy and Wilde but my partner is more traditional going for Roman names for his love of history. So many of mine have been vetoed already. Help! X
I would love to see a video where you take popular names from around the 80s and make them more wearable!! My moms name is Heather and I want to honour her but I don’t like the name (sorry Mom!)
aw i love the name heather ! it’s a little out of the box but what about feather ? i’d also recommend looking at other names for the flower, there’s a lot of pretty ones there
Be careful with the name “Fei.” I’m half Chinese and Fei is a surname meaning fees/spend/expenses etc. Depending on the tone, it can also mean fat. It is also a first name too. Depends on how you say it.
Love Purdy, Esca, Eos🐦, Lavender, Whimsy, Sequoia, Sherwood, Oath, Cersai 🐦 Breeze, Calico, Fleur, Hero, Quinlan, Allegra, (Muse), Somerild, Calypso, Vale, Bali, Yardley, Skipper, Nixie, and Aura 🥰 I would like Millaray too ... but then it also kinda sounds like a double-barelled name, which I am not a fan of so I am not sure.

Oooh just made a tea to have with Easter egg chocolate and SJ posts…..perfect timing! Hope you’ve all had a lovely bank holiday 🥰
Ah yummmmm ❤️❤️❤️
It’s also perfect timing because my sister (who’s black) is about to have a little girl this month and still no official name heh and went for unusual
My name is Vail and I have been waiting so long to see it pop up on one of your videos! I have a different spelling, but I have always loved my name and it’s uniqueness. I sometimes have to repeat myself when making introductions, but that usually leads to great conversations about my parent's choice and some good laughs. I like to read folks name tags, especially in small towns, met someone named Thyme and Somerton. Their names are memorable while being easy to spell ☺️
Twila was my grandmother's name, she was born in the 20's. I have it as a 2nd choice for a girl's first name or middle name
Here in America, Allegra is an allergy relief medication 😅 Lovely list as always though SJ!
Every single time I see Allegra I think hmm that sounds like a medication 😂
Do you mean the US?
My daughters name is Wylder Rose. We had never heard it before (just the masculine Wilder), until recently as it’s becoming more popular. But we still love it
Wilder was on my boys list a few years ago. I thought about just using it either way on the next one.
I've loved the name Wilder for a boy for years and Wylder for a girl's name is amazing?
@@jessicajessica8690 Wilder can also work for a girl
I have never heard of Millaray before, lovely! Ramone is quite a cool name for a little girl.
Esca, Calico and Breeze are so lovely!😍😍😍 Such a great list of beautiful and unique names! ♥️
Please make a Welsh name list 🏴 I really love the few Welsh names I already know, but I’m keen to find some hidden gems too!
I love Cornish girl names. I named my daughter Elowen. It's perfect for her and has really positive response :) I nickname her Winnie ☺
Pretty
My daughters name is Elowyn! We liked the y better but I understand the e is more of a traditional spelling
@@lilacvixen8233 love it
I love that it has that traditional sound to it like 'evelyn' but it also sounds kind of elvish and whilsical :) I like either spelling x
This is one my husband and I have on our short list of girl's names! Due in October but don't know what we're having so maybe there will be another Elowen around then :)
Purdy could also be written Perdy and be short for Perdita.
Could we please have a list of your favourite American vintage names, like Atticus, Ike,Zebulon, etc?
I second this!! Lovely idea!
Sequoia is definitely a name crush of mine! I think the nickname I would go with for Tallulah would be Lulu.
My Grandma’s names were Beryl Agatha and Yvonne (nickname Joyce). Love to see there names shared here, timeless ☺️
Awesome names! This is probably my favorite of your always-amazing name videos. Not having any more kids, but love watching these!
I may not have a child or plan to anytime soon however, I absolutely love watching these videos!
I love a name that could probably be considered in this group, nature inspired for sure. Valley for a girl, not sure of spelling tho. Could also be Vallie, Vallee.
I like Solveig, Evanthe, Allegra & Ariadne. Another interesting list.
Beautiful list! My cat’s name is Whimsy and I get so many compliments on it😄 Now I feel like I could’ve saved it for a daughter💕
We ended up naming our baby girl Indy-Solveig and Im obsessed with her name. ❤❤❤I would have never found solveig without SJ ❤
What a beautiful name!❤ Congratulations!!

Love Solveig, Lavender, Arienne, Sequoia, Sherwood, Calico, Indra, Amoret, Ramone, Twila, Sachi, Reverie, Bohemian names are my jam
I had a student who's name is Psalm (pronounced as Sam) and it thunk it is just gorgeous!

I loved the last few names you mentioned SJ!
Bellamira would be a way to reuse my middle name (Belle)
I've always loved a play on my name 'Nicolette', and never really hear it but think it is beautiful. I love 'Esca' too!!
I had a cat called Talullah, we called her Lula x
I knew a student, Tallulah, and she had nicknames Tally and Lulu. So beautiful!!

I love Indra and it’s at the top of my list spelled “Indre” like the river in France.
Trying to decide between Fern and Robin for a baby girl! Love to hear what people think 😊
Also loved this list x
I love Fern its so rare and unique whilst still being classic and traditional. Cutest name I've heard in a while
Definitely fern!
Loving Fern for a little girl!
I love both names, although I know a girl named Robin (with a little sister Skye) and it is a really whimsical yet strong name
