I am anxious about Tuesday the 26th but can't live with the pain im in right now. Thanks again for all your informative videos. Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated.

    13 weeks Post Op Rotator Cuff repair. Still doing PT twice a week. They say I am way ahead of where most people are at this point but I wish recovery would be quicker. I know I need to be patient and do my PT. I will be glad when I don't have to do PT anymore. I do know I need to keep my shoulders healthy so I won't have to go through this again.
    Thank you for your videos. They have really helped me to approach healing in a way that put me ahead of the curve!

      @TheNewMexicoMan my previous fall caused me to have 15 mths of physio a long slow progress which I thought was healed til I had another fall this time a bit worse resulting in surgery I hoped I didn't have to have as an older person age is against me we'll see how I go when I eventually have surgery.

      @@caroldawson3193 Hang in there. As much as we try to avoid surgery, sometimes it's the best course of action to get it fixed.

      @@caroldawson3193 I am 68 and although it was painful, I did all my physical therapy and worked hard to restore mobility, strength and flexibility. I am now almost 8 months post surgery. Be patient and do your PT, even when you are feeling like the worst is over.

    Been taken 75 Mc Diclofenac { Voltaren} Twice Day, Help Pain and Arthuis for My Right Shoulder That will have Shoulder Replacement in near future seems work no side effects., What Your Option on Diclofenac both short term long
    term??

    • @rotatorcuffexpert
      @rotatorcuffexpert  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In general as a drug, I think diclofenac as well as meloxicam are beneficial if used in the right patient for short term duration. Any med taken long term can have detrimental effects. I always worry about the long term effects of NSAID's prescription or OTC. Make sure you talk with the doc who is prescribing the meds about the potential long term effects. can i bench press heavy weights after the slap repair? for example 150kg? does my shoulder ever be 100% like before the operation?

      Hey John. A lot depends on how big a tear it is, how much other damage was done, how good a job the surgeon does, how good of a job you do in protecting it during the recovery, and lastly how well your body does in healing. Good Luck my friend.

    Interesting - I take pain killers every day including NSAF and still wake at night in pain after 4 1/2 months. PT with a therapist once a week ($125 a visit for 15 mins) and home routine every day. I still can't lift my arm past waist height. Full thickness tear, bicep repair and bone spur removed. I'm OVER it! 😥
