I just tried this game last year, because I thought it might be nice for my 6 y o daughter. It's more difficult than super meatboy. what were those people thinking? Aladin, Lion King all these kids movies getting super difficult games..
so i played this game around the same age, i wanna say i was even younger than 6 and i remember getting to the warehouse level and thats it. i could beat mario on NES at 3 years old but i could only get so far in games like this or lion king. omg pocahontas was my fav movie and the game? I COULD NOT BEAT THE DAMN DEER RACE! so i just mostly played level 1 which is just swimming with the otters lmao. i loved it though, i felt like i was her playing with my animal friends.
102 Dalmations: Puppies to the Rescue (PS1) might be a good alternative, definitely more kid-friendly. In general, Disney's licensed games on PS1 seem to be a lot easier than previous consoles.
i played this game A LOT as a kid and i just remember getting to the warehouse with boxes and getting stuck and stopping lol. see as a kid back in the day i beat the first mario on NES at 3 years old so i was gaming right outta the womb almost. but this games controls are ARSE. most of the issues i had were jumping over obstacles. i CONSTANTLY got hit by whatever i was trying to jump over. but i love animals so much that as a kid i didn't really care too much. i had the "littlest pet shop" play set of this beethoven movie but my POS cousin "borrowed" it and never gave it back. never was more pissed in my life. well i guess when P.T./silent hills was cancelled. im still pissed about THAT too. edit: small edit, i remember getting so pissed when the dog would get hurt and id be like "STEWPID FUGGING DOG STOP FUGGING GETTING HURT WTF! JUMP THAT DAMN FENCE, YOURE A DOG!"
Beethoven and its various sequels are well known movies and I never thought that any of them would be adapted into games, but here it is. While it looks like effort was put into its development, it falls short in a lot of ways. The plot, while almost nonexistent, is standard and nothing special. The gameplay is a standard platformer using the titular character in various rescue missions in different environments. The graphics and music, while not the best for the system, are good for what they are and serve their purpose well. The biggest flaw in this game are the controls. They look like they’re very slow and unresponsive, making the difficulty of the game higher than it should be. Overall, a mediocre movie licensed game that should be avoided, even by the fans of the movie series it is based on.
