Seeing this when it aired was such a Gift💖.... It felt like such a blessing to watch Kherington/Twitch, Chelsie/Mark and my #1 Katee/Joshua throughout the season ... still the most magical year of sytycd for me *sigh* :) just a great group of people
plus Gev/Courtney were also a great partnership too they were the shortest guy & girl but they adapted to other styles very well and were versatile. Idk if this is an unpopular opinion but they were more versatile than Twitch & Kherington even though I liked that partnership too. Season 4 was the best season for partnerships and Mark & Chelsie are my favorite partnership from SYTYCD of all time! They never had a bad routine and always did well in different styles outside their comfort zone
Mark and Chelsie are by far my fav partnership of all time on sytycd . I have many favorite partnerships from sytycd but marksie always killed it and never had a misstep throughout their run on the show 👌🏻 they SLAYYYYED🙌🏻💯
i love the subtle story behind this piece. i love how it's about how close and intimate a couple is because when they made those weird faces to each other, it showed that they have fun and be silly together. when mark acted like a bird it was like how giddy he is to be with her. it showed how happy they were together and the fun and intimate moments they share
I love when Mark breaks away and shows his beautiful quirkiness. He has always been my fav. "Holy Smokes" how his career has taken off!!...Congratulations Mark. You are an absolute GEM.🎀🎀💋

It was fun to see this routine again! Chelsie Hightower - what a doll!
Mia to me, is the greatest contemporary choreographer though she seems like she can be a bit nasty and cruel personally. Her genius, however, is never in question.
Because Tim Burton is always so freaking crazy and weird in all that he does and if you've seen his characters they resemble exactly what they did with their faces. Everything he does is very exaggerated, especially his characters. Large eyes, large mouths, tiny feet... You name it. Look him up.
Every movement is a choice the choreographer made to tell a part of the story. I see it as the couple showing each other the ugliest or weirdest parts of themselves, and then the movement right after shows the joy they feel at the other person's weirdness.
Love Mark. Love him. He, Danny and Benji will always be my favorites. They had star quality from the first audition and they kept it thru every episode. As for Mia - she's a hateful hag who loves to bully people. Guess it makes her better about her sorry self.
I just want to punch Mia Michael's. Her negative critiques of Mark, Danny Tidwell and Brandon have been over the top. As for this routine - one of my favs of all seasons. But I happen to think that Mark can do no wrong.
LaneDale Looked more like Anya to me but yeah a bit strange. Maybe Mia wanted dancers with partnering experience to demonstrate the choreography for Chelsie and Mark since Mark's dance genre doesn't require partnering? That's just my theory.
A Great Album. I actually downloaded it because of this dance when I saw it back in '08.. and I was so thrilled to see a couple more routines set to tracks from that album years later - The Wall piece by Tyce Diorio, w/ Sasha and Kent Boyd (season.... 8 I think) and "Shirk" danced by Marko and my fave Lauren Froderman.. Breathtaking.. and so worth checking out! "Shirk" is perhaps my favorite sytycd routine. It is the most emotional I've ever seen two dancers on sytycd America, and I just had that personal connection to it. This was a milestone season.
Mark has ALWAYS been my very favorite dancer off all!! He is just very talented and unique. Obviously Lady Gaga saw this too.
