Second Stimulus check update as of Monday 12-21-2020.
The New Omnibus and Covid Relief (Stimulus Check) Package includes the following:
-$600 stimulus checks to adults.
-$600 stimulus checks to child dependents.
-$75k single phase out for checks / $150k married filing jointly phase out (reduces $5 per $1000 extra you make).
-No cap on dependents.
-Stimulus checks will come as soon as December 28, 2020 (per Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin).
-$300/wk Unemployment (11 week extension for all unemployment including PUA / PEUC).
-SSDI/SSI Stimulus Checks
-A deal between Pelosi, democrats, and republicans with Toomey on the Fed’s 13-3 facilities.
-Business meals tax deductible.
-Second PPP round with 25% decline in revenue. New first PPP round.

This should be a lesson to all of us to stack your coins as much as possible because the government doesn't give a damn about the average person and won't save you.
Normally I lean right, I do think people should make an effort to support themselves and their families, that being said, we were told this would be a few weeks of lockdowns, it came out of nowhere, the government is who shut things down, the schools are homeschooling, daycares limited, and allot of us can't go find work if we're homeschooling children. We all need relief. This is disaster relief at this point, and not free stimulus money. I can't even believe we're still locked down. 80 million dollars going to the closed schools while I'm getting 600 is total bs.

@@nikkoe2694 ironically, I cleaned bars and churches, I worked for myself around my daughter's schedule, I have 3 older kids with my ex and we have shared custody, we live in the same area and the kids come and go as they please, I also have a 3 year old and unfortunately her father had a very bad car accident in March and left him with a horrible traumatic brain injury. So he can't exactly help me, so I started cleaning in the mornings for my friend's bar, which is closed, I could bring my daughter with me because it was before they opened and they had tables and a tv and stuff, I also cleaned for the community center and some restaurants, which paid well tbh, my ex obviously has a 9-5 so that leaves me to do the School work and I have no idea wtf I'm supposed to do, that 650 a month is social security I get for the baby because her dad's totally disabled now doesn't pay for much. Also I really miss just having something productive to do, but obviously if these places are closed I'm not needed. I'm seriously depressed as hell at this point. It sucks. So bad

This is a republican end of year tactic. Wait until the last minute when ppl are desperate and the Democrats are forced to take what they can get. McConnell wouldn't extend unemployment benefits in 2010 after the economic downturn unless Obama extended tax cuts, that were due to expire that year, for the wealthy and corps. 2 yrs later when they were to expire again, MoscowMitch did the same thing except he wanted to make those tax cuts permanent in exchange for extension of unemployment benefits. Pres Obama was successful despite the Repubs. We know who they work for.
No retroactive unemployment is a joke for people who have been unemployed for the past months

To be fair, most the people I know are going to. The only thing 600$ is good for in the position the government put us in is either to gamble with it or toss it into the stock market and hope. Otherwise it’s a case of too little too late.

They're saying that those numbers have gone down; but, in actuality, the numbers have only gone down because a lot of people's unemployment benefits ran out.
