Normally I lean right, I do think people should make an effort to support themselves and their families, that being said, we were told this would be a few weeks of lockdowns, it came out of nowhere, the government is who shut things down, the schools are homeschooling, daycares limited, and allot of us can't go find work if we're homeschooling children. We all need relief. This is disaster relief at this point, and not free stimulus money. I can't even believe we're still locked down. 80 million dollars going to the closed schools while I'm getting 600 is total bs.

So he can't exactly help me, so I started cleaning in the mornings for my friend's bar, which is closed, I could bring my daughter with me because it was before they opened and they had tables and a tv and stuff, I also cleaned for the community center and some restaurants, which paid well tbh, my ex obviously has a 9-5 so that leaves me to do the School work and I have no idea wtf I'm supposed to do, that 650 a month is social security I get for the baby because her dad's totally disabled now doesn't pay for much. Also I really miss just having something productive to do, but obviously if these places are closed I'm not needed. I'm seriously depressed as hell at this point. It sucks. So bad

They're saying that those numbers have gone down; but, in actuality, the numbers have only gone down because a lot of people's unemployment benefits ran out. I work in Healthcare, my hours were cut to 20-24hrs a week for 3 months. I got so behind on my truck payment and taxes on my house because I was NOT able to get any unemployment assistance for reduced work hours because I didn't qualify. Toomie has received his full paycheck this whole time!!! I work everyday and I am struggling!! We NEED more Stimulus money than 600.

They could have a system to confirm bank accounts when money is approved, with an established contact method for anyone who would qualify (since the information that would qualify them is already on record at the IRS). And a week isn't nothing to everyone.

And checks process instantly at a bank if they have a verified source that they can trust (my job, the money from the EIDL grant, and my first stimulus check were all available to spend within minutes of the direct deposit being sent from the source). Maybe your bank is just old school.

McConnell wouldn't extend unemployment benefits in 2010 after the economic downturn unless Obama extended tax cuts, that were due to expire that year, for the wealthy and corps. 2 yrs later when they were to expire again, MoscowMitch did the same thing except he wanted to make those tax cuts permanent in exchange for extension of unemployment benefits. Pres Obama was successful despite the Repubs. We know who they work for.

They're saying that those numbers have gone down; but, in actuality, the numbers have only gone down because a lot of people's unemployment benefits ran out. I work in Healthcare, my hours were cut to 20-24hrs a week for 3 months. I got so behind on my truck payment and taxes on my house because I was NOT able to get any unemployment assistance for reduced work hours because I didn't qualify. Toomie has received his full paycheck this whole time!!! I work everyday and I am struggling!! We NEED more Stimulus money than 600.

They could have a system to confirm bank accounts when money is approved, with an established contact method for anyone who would qualify (since the information that would qualify them is already on record at the IRS). And a week isn't nothing to everyone.
