I love how these console people think "Exclusivity" is the only way to have a good platform. The switch's biggest strength is its flexibility. More people play hand-held than docked. The other great thing about the Switch is indeed Mario and Pokemon, but I doubt the Switch would have sold half as well if it wasn't for the fact it was a hybrid console. Edit: And another example. The PS2's biggest selling feature was that it could play regular DVDs on top of being a gaming console. Fun fact: The Nintendo Gamecube was more powerful than the PS2 and original Xbox. And had arguably the better exclusive titles. Resident Evil 4 was Gamecube exclusive for a while, and that's considered one of the greatest games of all time. And yet, the Gamecube sold abysmally. The PS2 had that killer app in that it could play DVDs, meaning you didn't have to buy a then super expensive DVD player and a game console. Plus, the PS2 had great games too. The Wii sold incredibly well due to the motion controls. It was a means for families to play games together. Wii Sports is ironically one of the most sold games ever because it was bundled with the Wii. PS4 outsold Xbox One because it was a better platform. It didn't have the stain of Microsoft's blunder of the always online thing, and it was slightly more powerful... and cheaper than the Xbox One. That's why the PS4 sold tremendously well. The PS4 has abysmal games for the first 2 years of its launch, with exception of a remastered PS3 game exclusive wise. It was carried by Call of Duty. Whenever a console fanboy thinks exclusives sells a platform, remind them of the true stats. If exclusives were the selling point, Nintendo would be crushing Sony and Microsoft combined, and it wouldn't be a contest.
This is OBJECTIVELY false. Look at the top 20 best selling switch games on the switch and show me that exclusives DONT Matter. Exclusives absolutely move systems and the switch, again, objectively proves it 😂😂 LOOK at this sales data from wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_Nintendo_Switch_video_games Their is NO WAY you believe this
Here's my thought regarding Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. Sony and Microsoft are not game developers. Sony is a media entertainment company that provides media entertainment, electronics and media technology. The Playstation is a sub division of the parent. And Playstation is not a game developer. Their first party IP like God of War, the Last of Us and Uncharted is done through other developers. Microsoft is a software company that develops software and apps for a broad user base. They are Windows, Office 365 and other apps that are for business and productivity. They are not a game developer. XBox is a sub division of the parent. Their bread and butter is Windows on every computer that is not an Apple/Mac along with their other business and productivity software. Nintendo is the only company that is a game developer. They are the only company that lives or dies through it's game and console development because it's all they do. They have other smaller developers help with their IP. But make no mistake, they develop their own games. Could they make more money if they went 3rd party and developed for all platforms out there? Yea, I think so. They got their feet wet in the mobile phone market. But that means Nintendo would have to change it's whole business template and it's game development template in the process. They could probably adjust but at this point, Nintendo is going to do what they think is best for them. And developing their games under their platform is the safest thing for them under their model. Out of all 3 of those companies, only Nintendo benefits from the Exclusivity and they are very protective of their IP. Which is why they only develop for their platform. I'm not saying it's the best thing for them or the consumer. I'm saying that this is how it works for them at this point. It's not surprising to see Sony and Microsoft begin to put games on other platforms because they aren't really game developers. They're primarily publishers.
This is the only take that makes sense. If you go back in time far enough, you'll see the foundations of why we think of PlayStation and Xbox the way we do today. Originally, Sega, Nintendo, Atari, and others were all just video game companies and their entire business model lived and died on if their platform and their games succeeded. Once Sony entered the console space, it was the first time a non video game company with other businesses and revenue was in the market. They used their money that they earned through other means that weren't related to games, and money hatted developers and games to be exclusive. Sony didn't make any of their own games until after the PS1 was a success. Then Microsoft followed in the same route. The point is, today we still treat Sony and Microsoft like they're video game companies because they are holding the video game companies spots next to Nintendo where Sega should be.
I've wanted a Gears of War trilogy on PC for years. I'm not asking for much - just the original 3 games at 60 fps, modern resolutions, and functional multiplayer.
I said the same thing about Spiderman coming to the Switch 2. Sony is absolutely going to look at this console that is coming off the heels of one of the most successful consoles of all time, a console that's going to sell like hot cakes and not think "Spiderman, Horizon, GoW etc can pull a million on that thing easy." They absolutely will.
Honestly I think exclusively is what's killing gaming, imagine Marvel keeping the next avengers movie only to U.S theaters when it cost $400 million to make just because it's an American company.......
"No exclusives, no innovation" Damn, I guess games can never innovate or compete with one another if they aren't exclusive to one specific platform. I guess we'll just completely ignore COD vs Battlefield, Overwatch vs Marvel Rivals, most battle royale games, most soulslike games, Guitar Hero vs Rockband, Minecraft vs Terraria, Pokemon vs Palworld, etc.
We don't care how good your mic is Hun we stay because we like your content don't care if the equipment is good or bad just stay being you and doing what you enjoy and we will enjoy also keep the salt
You're overlooking another issue I see from Xbox gamers. They ask, "Are we the only ones giving up games to other platforms? When is Mario & Spider-Man coming to Xbox then?" It's one thing to say "you shouldn't care about exclusives, all games should be available everywhere!" but then asking YOU to be the only ones who don't get other people's games. But if you want Xbox to continue existing as a platform, you're asking people to continue supporting it despite not having access to all those other games. If your advice is "buy another platform or play on PC!" then that's just telling more people to leave Xbox consoles behind, leaving to MS inevitably leaving the console space. Because even if people want exclusives to not exist & for all games to be on all platforms, reality is that exclusives exist, and Xbox is the only one losing all of their's to other consoles.
I absolutely love Nintendo games, but I think I'm completely done with consoles. Nintendo can put their games on PC if they ever want me to buy one of their games again. If they did, I'd support it hard.
It makes no difference what side these guys are on, they're displaying cringe AF behavior when they simp for a corporate overlord. It's gross and second hand embarrassment ALWAYS follows. These games going to other platforms is good. The issue is that this is the only news Halo has, because Microsoft continues to fumble the ball while still taking every opportunity to milk it dry.
6:17 - I don't think this guy's point is entirely without merit, though. He's looking at the worst-case scenario while you looked at the most optimistic scenario. Perception matters, and if gamers believe "Xbox is going full 3rd party" and "No point in buying an Xbox now," it doesn't matter how much money MS makes, it doesn't make the Xbox platform more appealing. And the idea that making more money on Playstation will lead to them investing more money in the "Xbox platform," is VERY optimistic. If by "Xbox platform," you mean the whole "this is an Xbox!" where your phone, tablet, and web browser are "Xbox's" then sure. But if you mean Xbox consoles, probably not. MS execs like Satya Nadella are the reason why they moved away from hardware. They will likely not keep.propping it up if sales are better everywhere else. That means if true Xbox hardware goes away, millions will lose their digiral libraries. All these other supposed "this is an Xbox" platforms do not allow access to your full library. Not only that, but it will leave Playstation alone in that space, creating a virtual monopoly, which leads to even more price gouging & lower quality everything. Or it could go the way you suggested. I'm just saying both paths are valid, unless someone knows how the future unfolds.
Here's a valid critique of the "people will lose their digital library" They were ALWAYS going to lose their digital library on console. My argument is that the services WILL shut down at a finite point in the future, and it's very unlikely your digital games on the current generation console would move forward to the next generation regardless of Xbox/PS's plans to support the hardware. Once the services shut down for that console you own all the games on, the only games you'll "own" digitally are the ones you can fit on a hard drive. And those hard drives won't last forever. The same problem is looming over the heads of PC players too... but unlike console players, we have a diverse set of options to remedy this issue, and we're not restricted by proprietary console hardware and software. tldr: "There's no point buying buying an Xbox" - Don't forget to add PlayStation and Nintendo. My personal advice as someone that's been gaming since the late 90s and seen the highs of consoles, and the lows of PC. Move to PC before it's too late, consoles don't have a future. And to wrap it up with some Console cope rebuttals. "But I don't want to sit at a desk and play games! reee" - Okay, so don't. PC's don't HAVE to be on a desk to work. You can plug them into a TV just fine. "PC gaming is SOOO Expensive" - My brother in Christ, after seeing the cost of new console, you should really shove this argument up your ass. A low spec PC for the same price of a console will outperform a console easily. For a few hundred more, a nice midrange PC will slam dunk the next two generations of consoles. "Ugh, But I hate M&KB, I want to use a controller!" - What kind of controller? Xbox, PS? Third party? HOTAS, HOSAS, Wheel + peddle? There's a fuck load of peripherals on PC that can be used with with basically all games. "Ree Microsoft!" - Linux. "Ree but my favorite exclusive game!" - Odds are, it'll be ported in a year. If not, trust me, it's coming to PC regardless if it likes it or not. (Personal note: I owned a few games on Xbox 360 digitally only, because they were never sold physically. Guess where those games went when 360 was taken offline forever... I don't think those games were ever even preserved because they were bound to the 360 services and no one ever really got the chance to rip them and convert them to PC games. On the other hand, I ripped a copy of my RCT game disk and carry it around on my thumb drive; I can play it on literally any modern computer without issue, I'm sure at some point there will finally come a time when I can't just install the game and play it without some trouble shooting... But it's pretty wild I can play a PC game from 25 years ago on any PC today, but I can't stick a 360 disk into a modern Xbox and hope to play it. 🤔)
@@lunasakara7306Good point, but my hope is the next Xbox. Basically is like APC. And I can play steam games on my next Xbox. And still be able to put in my disk like accessi. Ng my collection on it, then it'll be a buy. I think it would sell still and it wouldn't be like a council. It'll basically be like APC that plugs into your TV and runs games fine like you could run the Xbox. OS which is basically like put the game in install and play. Or you can go to the steam part which is like APC one which lets you ma games. Let you plug in a massive keyboard. And if you try to play a game with sick controller gives you a warning saying Hey at your own risk. This game isn't designed for a gamepad and then you can either map your controller with some keys kind of like how you can do with steam. Bake screen mode and then continue playing with that controller or just plug in a mouse and keyboard. Like you can currently hell. Microsoft just recently made a f****** PlayStation controller. Pretty much even with the adaptive control features. You're telling me that's not for the upcoming steam PlayStation games available on Xbox eventually. They use their controllers pretty much all the time through cross gens so I can see it
If "Exclusivity" is so good for them, then why aren't those people just going back to playing their exclusive games on consoles like PSP, original Xbox and such
exactly...people have become delusional...i see far too many thinking they know how to run a company with zero experience of actually running a company...
I use the Dolby on app to make my audio sound better when I'm messing around making videos with friends. I don't know if it has a PC app, or if it's helpful to you, but I think it's good.
Only thing I don't like about exclusives and consoles dying is it reminds me that the times are changing and im getting older. That and we won't get to laugh at these idiots anymore
hey joe, i know you wont see this but I just wanna say that your videos convinced me to switch from ps5 to PC and after switching I fucking love it so I want to say thanks for convincing me to switch lol
I’ve mostly been playing third party games and watching movies on the PlayStation. I’m playing games on my xbox. Yes, I wish Sony would give us some idea of what’s coming and when because the lack of showcases or announcements is kind of annoying. Not a fanboy, just a gamer who wants games.
I can hear the echo of the computer mic like you are far away from it. But the speaker on my phone isn't good enough for it to be obvious if you hadn't mentioned it.
As someone who plays on Xbox and has a steam deck this is nothing but a good thing. People should be able to enjoy any game they want regardless of there platform I want PlayStation users to experience halo 3. I can't see Sony or Nintendo following suit but it's a step in the direction.
My favorite part is that people buy it hook, line and sinker that MS is hot to trot to port 10+ year old collection of games that are 20 years old. Collections that aren’t being supported with new content anymore, dead games. That’s silly, they’ll be putting new games that have profitable futures on PS and Switch. Halo and Gears is fanfic for a ghey console war imo. I could be wrong but, that’s just how I see it.
I am a console gamer so I have everyright to say this but exclusives are not helping anyone all they are doing is making people having to spend more money on hardware so they can play all these games when that money could go to supporting more developers. When was the last time a playstation first party game, a nintendo first party game, or a xbox first party game actually innovated and did something new nothing? the answer is it been a very long time we saw something new. Like a dragon is doing this as a multiplat or how about balatro.
PS5 was bolstered by the PS5 Pro, making for an 18% boost from a year ago, while Xbox X/S sales are down 25%. Switch is nearly the same, just a slight dip. That ratio means that the PS5 sold 5.4 times more consoles than the Xbox did that month. This year, the estimate puts PS5 at 15.31 million to Xbox’s 4.01 million, just under a 4:1 ratio.
You did good with audio i listen on phone and can barely hear difference What comes to platforms yeah its about time to choose on who offers best platform and not just because of games 😬
These fanboys need to stop calling buying a console an investment. You don`t invest in anything when you buy a console because the console is the only thing you`re receiving back. When you actually invest in something you`re expected to get the money you invested initially back plus more. Bunch of idiots.
Ill say it many times the switch "2" isnt gonna be strong enough for modern games let alone game engines. Since nintendo as of 2008 aka the wii era was 2 gpus behind the other consoles. The switch "2" is in capable of uhd 60 fps, wont have a battery that can run 4k games on the go. While being a ps4 on the go essentially.
Almost 2 decades on xbox, I would love it if halo and gears went to playstation. Imagine if the sales are high, would be funny. Also, more players means more people to play with and against.
Whether you like it or not, it is a known fact that exclusives do help sell systems. If you disagree, then stop using “pc has more games” as a reason for people to buy a pc
This just in!: Console guys still trying to find value in exclusivity on their plastic boxes! More at 11~ [news jingle playing in the background] Nah but for real? Enjoy what you play on, just don't be these morons. I just can't imagine getting a console (in this day and age) for just _exclusives_ . What's the problem with other people enjoying the game that you own, on their own system(s)? It's mind boggling. Also, good mic or not good mic, we come here for the good content; so long as it's not a dollar store headset we're happy lol.
Only found your channel a month or so ago, and am still not convinced that you aren't making up these pro-exclusive arguments. I also have yet to understand why exclusives became a thing in the first place.
Lot of these people pretty much don't get that these companies are doing this for money. If xbox games go to Playstation then I'm fine with it because A. This means more people can experience the xbox games like halo and gears of war for the first time like Couple of Fools did and he likes halo and gears of war. And B. It'll just show who actually plays games since they talk about xbox 24/7 on Twitter.
For as much as I like the channel and usually agree with your takes, this is a point in time where I just don't relate. Yes Sony and Microsoft are big corporations and we shouldn't be cheerleading big corporations like them, but the hobby of video games has always had a built-in admiration for the creators of the games and the hardware that houses those games. Even till this day, you can show some people an old NES without a single game, and they'll feel a lot of emotions just seeing the box that played the games they loved. The hardware and the games themselves are intertwined in our culture together. It's apart of gaming history, and so today we have conditioned ourselves to assume the hardware of today will be tied to the games in history. Yes it's true that games are getting worse because the artistic integrity is being sacrificed for microtransactions and whatever makes the most money, but for us, the gamers who have been apart of the timeline of gaming for at least 15 years, we still expect that games and the hardware they are tied to will go down in history and remembered fondly. Of course a lot of them won't, like halo infinite and concord, but this expectation is still apart of our DNA. Games just being games without any connection to any hardware kond of takes a piece of the soul of what makes gaming culture special. If everything just went to PC and there were no consoles, we would have museums of customized pc that no one would have any connection to because one custom pc is never seen ir loved by other people. But if 50 million people see a Wii or a Dreamcast in a museum, they might all shed a tear for something they shared together.
Checking out the videos of Halo games going to PlayStation destroys my braincells... It's full of console cheerleaders who just want PlayStation to succeed, don't listen to them...
Just curious to why you say that console exclusivity should die and become part of the past but it's perfectly fine to have pc exclusives shouldn't those also die and be part of the past as well
Exclusive going away is good if all do that but sony will never right now put god of war and mario will never be on this xbox atleast so why should xbox console gamer how get no extra games like both Nintendo and PlayStation owners
all i care is the console that im playing on and i play on xbox mean platform play on all the time and i have a gaming pc but i won't move to that platform not yet fully just saying. (edit)
These guys think Xbox means ONLY a piece of plastic Console. The console is still selling (slowly) even though Microsoft said for a decade you don't need one.
@utsavpradhan2754 you can hate things and still talk about them, look at the woke scene and how many youtubers hate it but still build their entire channels bashing anyone who talks nonsense
I can’t believe Joe would make a mistake, this is truly unforgivable

@vinyminotaur2694tbh I'm pretty sure it was less powerful than the PS2 as well, it wasn't just the small disc's

No worries Joe, just go to your control panel, sound, and disable the computer mic so it can't accidentally default to it.
This. Find the playback devices section and disable all the inputs you don’t want using, and force your good mic to be the default.

They use their controllers pretty much all the time through cross gens so I can see it
If "Exclusivity" is so good for them, then why aren't those people just going back to playing their exclusive games on consoles like PSP, original Xbox and such
The audio is just a throwback to your console days
I just "invested" in Chipotle because I bought a taco 😂
exactly...people have become delusional...i see far too many thinking they know how to run a company with zero experience of actually running a company...
I use the Dolby on app to make my audio sound better when I'm messing around making videos with friends. I don't know if it has a PC app, or if it's helpful to you, but I think it's good.
Only thing I don't like about exclusives and consoles dying is it reminds me that the times are changing and im getting older.
That and we won't get to laugh at these idiots anymore
hey joe, i know you wont see this but I just wanna say that your videos convinced me to switch from ps5 to PC and after switching I fucking love it so I want to say thanks for convincing me to switch lol
if your gonna sing it you need to organize the names to fit
You can use UVR 5 to remove the reverb effect. I use it when i record stuff. It's free and amazing.
The only thing better than Joe's analogies is him reading the doofus club names.
Please put the games on PS5 it will build up the player base
My favorite part is that people buy it hook, line and sinker that MS is hot to trot to port 10+ year old collection of games that are 20 years old. Collections that aren’t being supported with new content anymore, dead games.
That’s silly, they’ll be putting new games that have profitable futures on PS and Switch. Halo and Gears is fanfic for a ghey console war imo. I could be wrong but, that’s just how I see it.
Love the new doofus club shoutout
I am a console gamer so I have everyright to say this but exclusives are not helping anyone all they are doing is making people having to spend more money on hardware so they can play all these games when that money could go to supporting more developers. When was the last time a playstation first party game, a nintendo first party game, or a xbox first party game actually innovated and did something new nothing? the answer is it been a very long time we saw something new. Like a dragon is doing this as a multiplat or how about balatro.
I was a console gamer from 2012 to 2018 I won’t be back on console I enjoy pc gaming no one can convince me that console is better
You wouldn't have audio issues if you've gotten the almighty PS5PRO
PS5 was bolstered by the PS5 Pro, making for an 18% boost from a year ago, while Xbox X/S sales are down 25%. Switch is nearly the same, just a slight dip. That ratio means that the PS5 sold 5.4 times more consoles than the Xbox did that month. This year, the estimate puts PS5 at 15.31 million to Xbox’s 4.01 million, just under a 4:1 ratio.
@@WUKONGSerieS10GBofRAMokay😑
@@WUKONGSerieS10GBofRAM Who asked?
I really hope halo comes to PlayStation I only have PlayStation not a xbox and I really want to play halo
Hide ya kids, hide ya wife, cause they taking all your games
Oh man you weren't kidding about that mic quality lmao😅😂
You must feel SO SILLY 💀 💀 💀 💀
You did good with audio i listen on phone and can barely hear difference
What comes to platforms yeah its about time to choose on who offers best platform and not just because of games 😬
Just sounds like you’re talking while resting your face on your palms, out of pure disappointment…which kinda tracks.
The audio doesn't sound all that bad honestly.
I usually skip the doofus club shoutouts but I had a feeling this one would have been special. And by golly was it
I hope they go to the ps5.
Never liked halo or gears, but it would be great to see them on all platforms
i just want gears of war to get it's own mcc on pc.
ya know if exclusives are the only reason to have a console maybe consoles shouldn't exist
More at 11~ [news jingle playing in the background]
Nah but for real? Enjoy what you play on, just don't be these morons. I just can't imagine getting a console (in this day and age) for just _exclusives_ . What's the problem with other people enjoying the game that you own, on their own system(s)? It's mind boggling.
Also, good mic or not good mic, we come here for the good content; so long as it's not a dollar store headset we're happy lol.
Did my name somehow break Joe?!
What games is this?
Brotato, dunno what crap he was playing later in the vid - COD or some chit.
@mikerochburns4104 it's black ops 6
Unprofessional Joe with his unprofessional microphone settings 💀😅
Nice shoutout. Best dollar ever spent. I won't change my name to keep it easy 😂
Oh no, who's the doofus now? Sorry, just trolling you Joe!
Still a great video as always.
Halo and Gears going to PS?
Sounds like a K/D boost to me
1:20 2:50 10:40 16:20
Checking out the videos of Halo games going to PlayStation destroys my braincells... It's full of console cheerleaders who just want PlayStation to succeed, don't listen to them...
Just curious to why you say that console exclusivity should die and become part of the past but it's perfectly fine to have pc exclusives shouldn't those also die and be part of the past as well
Wow, I used to respect this channel, but this dip in mic quality is truly unforgiveable. I would like a refund.
14:15 best part lmao. That's meeeeee
Joe you’re 100% correct
He wasnt lying about his mic , hahahha😂
O.o huh.. I have a gaming pc on my own 65" Tv, as well as on my 32" Desk monitor.. Im not sure what screen you play on matters..
Xbot salt finally
it's not that bad... just pay attention next time
That audio is terrible. Gave it a thumbs down and I subbed. Then subbed again and gave it a thumbs up. Double engagement
12:45 Sorry, but you're just too weak, it is a real name... or rather reference to old Polish comedy movie (look it up).
Colteastwood changed?!
Lol typical hypocritical pc refugee 😂
🤜🤛
Doofus club it like 15% of video lol suffering from success Joe haha
Midyard badball

I hate console war. Yet his entire channel is about console wars how lovely.
We laugh at these fanboys, its really amusing to do so for multiple reasons 😂
@n3rgal166 but it's hipocritical isn't it. Bashing something that u enjoyy.
@utsavpradhan2754 you can hate things and still talk about them, look at the woke scene and how many youtubers hate it but still build their entire channels bashing anyone who talks nonsense
third party games AA games are the best games to play
