i have a seasonal build suggestion - a real life gingerbread house like the candy like decorations on the house and everything and i think the new pastel kit would be very fitting for it!!
This really makes me wish for an option/mod to create different versions of a single lot that automatically swap out for different seasons. Imagine having different decorations/crops/even menus for each season!

I worked in the kitchen of a small family owned restaurant for several years and it was exactly the weird mesh. It had beautiful tiled floors and the original wooden doors and beams but also stainless steel countertops and massive range hood. Not to mention the weird shape of the kitchen as it was technically two very small rooms connected by a doorway (the door was leaning against the wall upstairs) and it had two really awkward to get to cupboards, one under the stairs but also behind a shelf so you had to move the shelf to get to it, and the other you could only access when the stove was off for safety reasons (you’d have to lean over open flames otherwise). Anyway, all of this to say that family owned restaurants in converted houses absolutely have weird kitchens with odd items placed side by side.

Here in the UK, there are farms that you can go to that have restaurants/cafés, shops, petting barns, etc and they almost always have old machinery and farm implements placed around for photo ops and decoration. So putting the tractor in the front actually works.
I love the tractor. The place that I go to irl for pumpkin and apple picking has a tractor to sit on and take photos with. And hayrides are very festive so it's got those vibes

Australian person here: I learnt something new today after Googling what Kayla meant about Winter not technically starting on December 1st. I didn't know that the USA doesn't actually start their seasons on the 1st day of the month like we do in Australia! Here Summer starts on December 1st, Autumn starts on March 1st, Winter starts on June 1st, and Spring starts on September 1st. 🤔
Yeah like someone else said, the technical beginning of seasons is based on the solstices and equinoxes, the actual movement of the Earth relative to the Sun, not the currently used man-made calendar. My few friends in Australia recognize solstices and equinoxes, so I had no idea that maybe your civic calendar doesn't and just uses set dates instead? That's interesting. I'll have to ask them more about that. Also even with recognition of solstices and equinoxes, depending on the area you live in, the local climate might not start to shift into feeling like the next season right at that time. Sometimes we notice the signs of a season (such as certain plants or animals, or weather patterns) weeks before or after the solstice or equinox date. I live close to one of the Great Lakes, and flowers have been blooming about 3 weeks later in the spring here than they do slightly further south, because of the cold air off the lakes. So an hour south of me might be seeing signs of spring in March that we don't see until April. Meanwhile my friends in England started seeing and posting photos of their signs of spring (usually certain flowers) in February! Usually the main thing I have to explain to people about Australia and all other southern hemisphere locations is that the seasons are opposite in the first place lol. So many people here seem to not know that.

This was great 👍 Simsie is constantly growing as a builder, I love that about her. She learns new things from her followers and then implements them. It's so rewarding to see her put what she learns into her builds ❤️
the "Woohoo" closet not working when put into a wall. That explains a lot for me. I thought my mods were breaking it based upon sim's relationship levels. Totally didn't notice that when it worked while testing that I'd placed it alone in the middle of the yard. Thanks simsie.

here in the Netherlands, the seasons officially start on the 21st of the month. so winter would be 21 december - 21 march and spring 21 march - 21 june etc.

For example, we think spring starts on 1st of March although snow starts to melt at the end of March (and we get more snow again in April) and summer starts on 1st of June even though most of the time Junes are pretty cold and rainy here and the heat starts in July (but May on the other hand is usually very sunny and hot and it makes us so excited about the upcoming summer, but then when June starts and schools end the rainy, cloudy and cold weather hits us all of a sudden, sometimes we even get snow in the middle of June when we're supposed to celebrate Midsummer/Juhannus) :'D so if we thought about seasons only based on the weather it would be very difficult and confusing as we can have the weather of all four seasons happening at the same time
Simsie! I'm pretty sure the closets still work, I think what happened is you placed the closet and then built the wall through it, so the game doesn't consider it as being "snapped" to the wall as it wasn't placed into it, which would probably mean it's not creating the cutout in the wall for the sims to step inside. I could be wrong but just a theory!
That's a thought! So I decided to playtest, but it really is glitched. Walls drawn over the closet or closet snapped in. Moveobjects on or off, Sims will not woohoo if the closet is in a wall. I even took out MCCC and no change.

I live near a lot of pumpkin patches and the old run down tractor is very realistic there are a lot of things like that for photo ops
