@@AKA_Studios Yeah lately she’s been doing “basegame + one pack” builds, I think those are really nice because they’re still useful for a lot of people. Also even when I didn’t “own” all the packs (🏴☠️🏴☠️ now :p) I still downloaded lots even if I was missing packs, I would just replace any missing things with CC or furniture from other packs

I know you like to do base game builds a lot because its easier for people to download but at this point, you already have so many for people to choose from. It'd be nice to see more non restricted builds because speaking for myself, I'm not downloading every single thing you build so I could care less what packs you use.

I feel like using other packs, at least the popular ones that new players cant resist buying (like seasons, cats & dogs, etc.) would be nice to see in these starter builds! Youve given so many basegame only builds and I thank you! But as your TH-cam audience that might not watch your streams, we’d like to see variety on TH-cam with packs 💕

Everyone is always telling her this and she never listen. This video feels like dejavu. Soo many of her videos are exactly the same, trying to make a base game starter house for 8 sims. I love kayla and shes so talented but shes made this video 10 times with Zero diffirences. When I watch her do pack or cc review videos I just think to myself (oh look another pack shes never gonna use"

@@Artnadhd this happened to me!! one time i said i wish she would use a different bed (you know the base game double bed with the swatch she always uses?) and she read it out loud and the WHOLE chat came for me like, SHE CAN DO WHAT SHE WANTS. and i have never spoken in her chat since. i've seen similar things happen to others over small critics
As someone who doesn’t actually download your builds, and exclusively just watches your videos every day, I don’t really care for basegame builds. Don’t worry about downloadability or playability, just use your creativity and make them interesting! (And that doesn’t necessarily mean a modern build).
Fr! I know it’s a different cause I build for myself but I use any packs I want and as much clutter as I can fit so I’d be nice for her to do something similar

@@fairytale5629 there are way cheaper build buy items in other packs than the stuff in base game, if she really wanted to make a good starter home she would be utilizing other packs, especially ones like eco lifestyle that literally has $20 windows and extremely cheap furniture

I swear I've watched this video before. I get the availability for base game budget builds, but now I just feel like I'm watching the same video again. PLEASE do more unrestricted builds! Maybe not for just downloads, but it's nice seeing what builders do, or what tricks they use, and then trying to recreate that in your own game!

It would be nice to see builds were you aren't restricting yourself with just using the base game or money. You already have so many amazing builds with restrictions so I say you should let loose. I don't mean to come across as hateful but it is getting stale to be honest. Other than this, I think the video was nice and keep up the good work.

part of why i love watching sims content is seeing the creativity of the creators, and what they can do with all the packs in their disposal. i would love to see more of that from you. we all know you can make a cute starter, but you really shine when you’re being creative!

For the sake of the video please avoid basegame furniture (you can only do so many basegame under 20k builds). Changing up the color scheme doesn't change the fact that you use the same items everywhere. Toilets specifically are the only item that I'm cool with reusing in every build 🤷🏻♀️ Living, kitchen and bedrooms are too similar probably because of the price range, to the point that I'm no longer entertained cause I know what's coming
It's got to the stage where I read the comments first and if, as I suspect, it's the same old, I don't bother to watch the video.
I think this is easy content for her unlike other creators that use a ton editing and make new furniture items with tool mod. She can also do challenges using the packs like Syd Mac. This is just sad and boring after the 100th video of the same thing.

I think it's clear from this video alone that Kayla doesn't read her comments. Sure, she releases content every single day, which is commendable, but it can also stifle creativity, so I'm expecting more of the same. Personally I prefer quality over quantity.
as someone who has been watching her since like 2016 (i’m guessing, that’s when i got the sims) i definitely think she should take more breaks or have weekends off because she also streams everyday it’s gotta be a lot for her

I mean The Sims 4 has just become free so 😅 more players = more base game only players. It’s nice having numerous options, especially from your favorite (or at least top) creator. With that being said though… there’s just not that much creativity :( She should do different styles in a budget basegame challenge! It’ll be nice to see her push herself like so. If she keeps sticking to the same style, then I’d at least like some variety in the way the rooms are or look 🥲
@@sarathesimmersarathesimmer1300 well, she's been doing base game budget builds for ages, not just now with the game becoming free. idk, but I feel like the main priority for every single video is pleasing the minority of players that does not have any packs, instead of actually making entertaining content that everyone will enjoy watching even if they don't have all the packs (alternatively she's just lazy). theres enough base game builds for people to download at this point.

kayla, i know you want to make things for players who don’t have packs, but it’s kind of getting to the point where you’re prioritising these players over those of us who enjoy your funky, different builds and it’s kind of having a detriment to the quality of your content. there are literally thousands of base game only builds on the gallery for people to download, many of which have been made by you already very recently. many of us don’t watch your videos because we want to download the houses, we watch them because we want to be entertained. you’re a really talented builder, please be more creative and actually use packs!

@@Washuwashu1996 I swear I think she only really reads her twitch and gallery comments because for months ppl who watch youtube have been begging for builds using more packs 😭 A lot of the people who watch on youtube don’t even download the houses, also it’s not the end of the world to download a house even if you don’t have all the packs?? The game automatically replaces missing furniture and i just edit the house using stuff I do have 🤷🏼♀️

@@nicche511 very nicely said- she's got different audiences to attend too, and honestly as a content creator that's her very job. it's important she's happy and thriving, but she won't stay that way very long if all her audiences start flowing away in chunks- i've seen it time and time again with other youtubers. i don't want to see her leave the platform or hurt.

I would like to see a starter home on a budget, but with all the packs, or several different ones, but not just old expansion packs like cats and dogs or get together. Use all of the fancy upgraded non-2014 furniture we've received over the years! That's the kind of starter I'd download for a family I actually want to play with.

i love your videos so much, but i've just started using them to fall asleep at night. mostly cause i know im not missing anything since the videos are always the same, and your videos are consistent in content (no jumpscares, no loud middle ads etc). and while i love this, and you, the content is kinda boring. i love your weekly nightmare videos, as they vary a bit, but these are just alwyas the same. and i'm wondering if you even read your comments at all, cause i've seen the same requests and the same concerns for months now. please, take the (nice) criticism, i don't want to see people stop watching you in waves as your such a good influencer!! i love your streams and your videos, and youre such a good person overall. you deserve all the followers and all the success. keep doing what you love yeah, and please listen to your audience a little, we want to see you succeed!

the idea of making a family home within a budget is fun but maybe with all packs or even with a few different packs just to see the difference from every build you’ve ever built with just base game
I absolutely adore your builds and as someone who only owns the base game, I do appreciate you doing builds with limited packs. But I know I'm not the only person here who would love to rather see your creativity shine over having to deal with only the base game. Your intentions are pure, and for that we all love and respect you for it, but many of us simply come here to watch your creativity flow and to show us tips and tricks. I personally build my own houses based off of ideas from you rather than downloading it. Therefore, seeing a house with a million packs is fine because I won't be downloading it anyway. We all really appreciate what you do, but don't be scared to upload a video or two a week where you use a million packs!

The thing about building for a large family is to accommodate a large family, meaning: the dinning room should seat every sim and the living room should seat every sim... Can you imagine a real family of 8 but only have a sofa that seats 4? It just doesn't make sense

i think she’s building it to how she actually plays the sims or how most would and not really exactly realistically. she never has them eat at the tables so why use the space for that. also many people do not have tables that seat everyone?
It's actually more common than you might think. The living room in my house is actually very much like this. We have a family of five and live in a small home. We have a loveseat, so two seater, two small computer chairs, and a piano with bench, so I guess someone can sit on that, but usually one or two of the kids just sit on the floor if we're all on there together.
I wonder how many suburban, starter, base game houses or base game (+sometimes seasons or cats and dogs) builds were there. They all look the same and it starts getting boring. You can do limited packs but there are so many by now. I love the stuff thats anyhow creative but this just got old.

Your content is so repetitive..
I know a lot of other people have said this but you can start making less base game builds! I know you want to be accessible for people and that’s super nice but you can use packs and stuff! Don’t restrict yourself and your creativity on account of us.
I swear, I feel like I've seen this already a couple of times (if not way more). I love the way you build and that's why I would love to see more starter houses with all the other packs too, I think we've got lots with just basegame already and some look honestly all the same. It'd be nice (and more fun too!) to see something different, for all the other players who have more packs too.
Even not on a budget, cos let's be real, everyone knows the motherlode code so it's kinda unnecessary.
Also you really made it unnecessarly hard on yourself with this one, lowering the starter budget, the teen room in particular looks absolutely sad😂. Although I love the exterior I wouldn't keep anything on the inside, it's just too boring with no personality and I kinda wanna see a bit of it.

Kayla I love your videos don't get me wrong, but I've found myself not watching the whole thing when it's a blue, base game only or + 1 pack kinda build! I agree with everyone in the comments, you need to use all your packs girl!! You've got enough on your gallery for people to choose from if they want to download something and don't have many packs.

A single bathroom for a family of 6 is pretty normal. I talk from personal experience. Grew up in a family of 6, and never ever lived in any place with more than a single bathroom. Total of three bedrooms, a kitchen-dining room and a living room. Also, had a basement.
Kayla use a lot of blue because, since day 1, those are almost the only swatches that are not overwhelming. We are just starting to get nice swatches that are not blue or grey.

SIMSIE BUILD CHALLENGE: building a house with things you never/rarely do. Example, closed off rooms, hallways, separate entrance area, basement, wallpaper first, bathrooms must be different from eachother, No blue exterior, a play room, carpet, different landscaping, different skill items (no chess! Or blarffy), the rooms could be in styles you don't usually do (goth bedroom, modern kitchen..)
These are not the rules, just suggestions on how you could approach the challenge. Nothing too hard, just a step outside your comfort zone.
Of course its only base game 🙄

I feel like simsie has always had a good balance of accessible downloads and all pack builds, but lately every build has been restricted and base game only. It’s starting to feel like I only ever see base game uploads and I’m finding myself not watching anymore.
We love your creativity Kayla, and how kind you are in thinking of specific demographics of simmers. But I really do feel like the usual quality of your builds is missing. I’m over seeing budget/restricted/base game only houses. It’s become unenjoyable for me now!

And this channel is probably her main income, so seeing the same opinion by more people is not a good sign in that aspect.
