TOGETHER - Nsaykila Elvis Feat. The Virtual Chorale | Lyrics Video

The song TOGETHER is based on the theme of the Ruby Jubilee celebration of the Diocese of Kumbo. This theme is drawn from Mark 16:16. "Together on Mission: 'Go out to the whole world, proclaiming the Gospel to all creation'."
Through this song, Nsaykila Elvis seeks to animate the year-long celebration, running from 2021 to 2022. Catholic faithful of the Diocese of Kumbo have been celebrating this jubilee in the middle of pain and hardship, due to the ongoing war in the North West and South West of Cameroon (Anglophone Crisis). It is for this reason that a song like this comes in handy, to cast some ray of light and hope in communities being gradually overshadowed by gloom.
The song is a fusion of Njang. Its lyrics are simple. TOGETHER takes on an added flare from the vocals of The Virtual Chorale. The feel of the song is characteristic of a production of Nsaykila Elvis. It was mixed and digitally mastered by Dijay Kay.
The Catholic Diocese of Kumbo in the Ecclesiastical Province of Bamenda, Cameroon, was erected by Pope St John Paul II on Thursday, 18 March 1982, with territory taken from the then Diocese (now Archdiocese) of Bamenda. It is a Diocese of the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church. Kumbo is a suffragan Diocese of the Metropolitan See of Bamenda along with the Catholic Dioceses of Buea, Mamfe and Kumba.
We hope that this music livens up the celebration, and that the images nurture nostalgia for a once peaceful and vibrant community before the war.
