05. TOGETHER [Together EP] - Audio

TOGETHER is track 5 of the EP titled TOGETHER by Nsaykila Elvis. The EP “TOGETHER” is out to animate, reflect upon, express thanksgiving, and pray with and for the Church that is in Kumbo. The Diocese was created in 1982.
The song TOGETHER is based on the theme of the Ruby Jubilee celebration of the Diocese of Kumbo. This theme is drawn from Mark 16:16. "Together on Mission: 'Go out to the whole world, proclaiming the Gospel to all creation'."
Through this song, Nsaykila Elvis sought to animate the year-long celebration, running from 2021 to 2022. Catholic faithful of the Diocese of Kumbo celebrated this jubilee in the middle of pain and hardship, due to the ongoing war in the North West and South West of Cameroon (Anglophone Crisis). It is for this reason that a song like this came in handy, to cast some ray of light and hope in communities being gradually overshadowed by gloom.
This track is a fusion of Njang. Its lyrics are simple. TOGETHER takes on an added flare from the vocals of The Virtual Chorale. The feel of the song is characteristic of a production of Nsaykila Elvis. It was mixed and digitally mastered by Dijay Kay.
TOGETHER EP is a 6-track project containing Njang and Afrobeats with fusions of Amapiano. In its very conception, there are songs to pray with, and there are songs to dance to. In this way, everyone can find their choice to use for the celebration. The project takes its name from the first word of the theme of the Ruby Jubilee of the Diocese of Kumbo “Together on Mission: Go out the whole world proclaiming the Gospel to all creation (Mark 16:15).
This EP does not only mark the celebration of the Ruby Jubilee of the Diocese of Kumbo. You will often find yourself coming back to it in the future because the songs are eternal. They are songs that ought to remain in your playlists.
