How do you reset on the newer fingerprint reader? It does not have the pinhole on the side.

So anyone can come and push the button to power it on and then start registration of their own finger..or if it's already registered, someone can push the pin in the side and start re programming the reader?
Am I right? How can you guys guarantee this to function without having someone take the scooter away?(please tell me the security level of this reader). I wanna buy one but....!

He said during the setup that to change the fingerprint requires the EXISTING fingerprint THEN you press the button under the screw.
you must unlock it first and then only you can reset by pressing 3 times that inside reset switch...
if you cut the wires you can scoot away
How about adding a key ignition.

Are the throttle compatible to any other scooter or are they just specific to the DUALTRON scooters.

Finally installed by finger printer and registered my finger prints but you can ride if you dont enter your finger print do you know what is wrong?
@Yalondi Supherfon it's not a scam, it prevents a ride aways, you can not just snip the cables and ride. All be it easy to get around once the scooter has been stolen. Overpriced yes. A scam no.
that fingerprint reader is garbage, 1 of 10 times it unlocks my Thunder.
A key switch is faster and more reliable
Hmmm that's the first we have heard of problems, most of our customers (and us) are loving the fingerprint readers. Have you tried reprogramming it?
On another note, I would rather have something like an RFID chip reader, if it is impossible to replace it with key ignition. I don't trust biometry.
i like to add a key switch too.
do you have the pin assignment for the Fingerprint connector on the EY3?
Otherwise i use the keyswitch as Mainpower switch.
This Fingerprint is not a security feature it's a joke or just an expensive Gadget.
Sorry Minimotors, but for a Company with experience since 1999... this is very poor result of engineering. ofcourse i love my thunder. but the fingerprint is crap.

They should make it so you need a key to reset it

I have one of mine. Gives me problems all the damn time. Currently right now it won’t read my finger at all so now I can’t even start my scooter. I don’t recommend it.

Can you add two users to the same bike?
Yes, you can add up to 4 different fingers to the scooters. Otherwise we suggest moving around a single finger similar to how you would setup an iPhone.
@@MiniMotorsUSA Actually you can set up up to 100 fingers. The process is to unlock the scooter then push the small button once with a pin to register an additional finger. You can and should register each finger 4 times for better recognition.
You can repeat the process for each additional finger. Do not register multiple fingers during the 4 scan process.

So I went ahead and purchased a used Dualtron Thunder from eBay with the original owner living down near San Diego, like 500 or 600 miles away. The scooter is locked. All the information I have gotten so far is that I basically need to have them cut their finger off and send it to me so I can unlock the scooter in order to program my prints into the reader. This has got to be a joke. There really is no way to reset this thing without the prior owner somehow unlocking it first? It wouldn’t have helped if they did it before they shipped it because it has to be reprogrammed within 15 seconds anyway. You literally cannot sell a Dualtron Thunder to an online buyer because there is no way to unlock it for them once the original prints are set. WTF!?!
Na you just disconnect the wire and add the original wire it’s simple
@@tonyrossify I know, so simple, right? Except the moment I start cutting into stuff and making modifications then I bought the scooter. I can’t really send it back once I start tinkering with it can I? You see the issue? It’s a simple fix. But how do I know it’s going to work after I fix it? I don’t. If someone ships you a scooter that’s locked if you are smart you’ll send it back. It’s stolen. It’s the worst idea in the world to start tearing it apart in the hopes it will run someday. Had he mentioned that the scooter was locked in the article then I would have known before I bought it what I was getting into. But they didn’t mention that at all.
