I'm looking forward to the new Mcfarlane Christopher Reeves Superman figure. I know everyone will be after him though! I'm looking forward to the new DC movie documentary for him as well. Awesome choice for a review bro 🔥
@@dHuntersReviews Man variations? Like different versions? I wonder if they will get the colors right on that one. Adam West's colors were way off. I have Mezco's Christopher Reeve. That's a great one. But I'm looking forward to tomorrow. They'll sell out in hours. I only want 3. One for my son's collection, one to display, and one to put away. Not wild about the face sculpt. But still, cool to get a 7 inch Superman 78.
HEAT VISION EFFECTS. I don't understand how they can provide any GL with energy construct accessories and not include the simplest of heat vision effects for Superman.
I actually was waiting for this but with a clothed cape. This one is more bold and much better than the rubber cape ones. Idc what anyone say but this is a good superman for anyone making a JL group
Why in the hell does McFarland cheat use on action figures ? For instance, Superman, he flies, right? So why is your designer and you Todd approve on his neck that limits him to look all the way up? Most of your action figures have neck problems. Most of your figures have ab crunch problems. Your action figure's legs are limited in range due to the undies (crouch ) area, and the plastic capes. As a kid, I always hated them. I used to cut them off and made a soft good cape. I see that Todd came with soft good capes and wire capes . That's great, but it would be better with soft good undies. it's better to get better leg range.
My opinion The undies are fine they are good, they allow wide range of motion and hide the joints For great on him Can’t look up enough but keep in mind this is a 5 year old figure being rereleased
it was never the best, i have no idea what people are smoking who claim that. Its filled with faults from top to bottom. Those shoulders are an eyesore. Not only single jointed elbow, but the ugliest looking elbow ever. Pencil thin legs that lack any muscle or definition. Those ugly giant balls at the ankles. Its an ugly, disproportionate figure and it was since day one. Every Superman release that McF did so far is from bad to at best mediocre, except the Earth 2 body, where they finally nailed it.
I missed out on the original release so I will pick this up at some point. It's funny to me that McFarlane has yet to make a better Superman face sculpt than the AC 1000. They got some of the goofiest and ugliest looking Superman since they made that one. This is a pretty flawed Superman design. Single joint elbows, colored wrists pegs, ankle balls, painted chest symbols and that huge neck exposure with the cape are all glaring issues that keeps this from being the ultimate Superman.
Thanks for posting this! After seeing your review, my favorite still is the Atomic Skull two pack version. I like the blue of that figure better. I need to track down a custom soft good wired cape for that one.
Finalmente um review de verdade desta figura!!! Thank you very much D Hunter 🙏🙏🙏🙏!!! Awesome review!!! For me the first one, action comics 1000, still the best!
Awesome review, as usual. I actually sold my AC 1000 Superman figures a while back. (I had two of them). The reason being is I prefer the Hush figure (with a head swap from Rebirth Superman), and I don't really need more than one version of a classic Superman in my collection. I really liked the AC 1000 figure when it was released, but the single jointed elbows and lack of two fists was a deal breaker for me. So when something better came along, I traded up. It's still mind-boggling to me why AC 1000 was released with single elbows when all of the other figures in that first wave had double joints (which is the modern standard). That never made any sense to me. And the fact that they are still releasing the same figure without fixing that issue is even more of a head scratcher. So this figure is a pass for me. However, I am interested to see your review of the new Gold Label Green Lantern. I have the figure from the two-pack, but him not having a fist on his ring hand is irritating. Plus I like the look of the shiny paint job on the new release. I'll probably pick that one up if I run into it at Walmart.
The single joint elbows? The ugly wrist bands & wrist balls? The out of scale thin legs? The bad ball joint ankles? All things that were kinda acceptable YEARS ago .. not now! That neck area is so weird, what the hell is going on? Toddy Mac should have made an all new PERFECT Superman.. will it ever happen?? Thanks for the review.
@@dHuntersReviews I only have one custom version of Chris Reeve, but I've been holding out for McFarlane to hook a brother up, and now it looks like he has!

Me too, they are doing man variations, I believe 4.

There is no s at the end of Reeve
@@dHuntersReviews That's sick
One is movie, and a variant (guessing evil version?), one is from the comic, I don't know about the other(s)?
This was so close to being good imo, but single jointed arms and those ball joints in the big 2024 is crazy.
I don’t kind the single elbows TOO much, the ball joints are large and noticeable
I think the single joints actually look better in some ways. When you can see that huge double joint in the arm it looks weird sometimes.
Agreed
Nice video, always love your work! May I ask are there any McFarlane Superman figure could match the color to this one for kitbash?
Check my comparisons maybe hush ?

I have my own
But you’re right
He's my favourite Superman with the symbol on the back of his cape!💙💙✊✊✊

Very good Superman
I don’t care what people say, Mcfarlane has yet to make a good Superman figure
Hopefully Reeves new Preorder does it
Nah the Injustice 2 Superman is a really good Superman. Just not ideal for a classic Superman for obvious reasons

It is intentional. They dont want to make the definitive mcfarlane Sups.
Insane theory
There are endless perfect Superman figures they can make
En qué mundo ese paño ordinario es mejor que las capas esculpidas?
Regular cloth capes aren’t that good
The ones with wires are good
The cape is better but it has issues on the neck
I hit the motherlode I found 9 at my Walmart
Where's that walmart located 😮
Nice!
I would have just switched up some things with the rebirth Superman and like the cape, trunks and boots.
This will be a pass for me.
I saw the hole in the neck area..
The rebirth one has that body that’s too thick and the boots sigh

The ball joints are rough and single elbows could be better

The torso has much larger "butterfly" joint !
Yes, it's bigger in this one than the original. I wish they did that with Hal Jordan.

Definitely should've updated the joints
Easy rerelease for this who missed and to cash in on the same mold
But you’re not wrong
The legs are fine
If you swap out the arms and legs with the Rebirth/hush mold and repaint them, you'd have one of the best damn Superman figures ever made!
The legs are fine as far as I’m concerned
DEFINITELY keeping an eye out for that figure
I know you got the first time, probably numberous times =)

I prefer the old one. Not worth updating just for the cape. McFarlane is too cheap to update the articulation.
Too stupid or lazy
Doesn’t cost anything to use diff arms they you already sculpted!
This figure makes a good generic Superman. I think I’ll get it if I ever see it available.
It’s a very good generic traditional Superman
