I love so much this performance, the Bastau version is of course much better, I love so much, but this one from Singer it's more close to my heart! Dimash was not suppose to hit the high notes. You can see the worry on all the other contestant's faces on the back! You could tell he was in pain as he was singing the song. Dimash actually regained his voice right before he went on stage but as soon as his song was over he lost it again. Such a beautiful song and story and it shows dimash's dedication to his music.. please also react to him singing the same song as his bastau concert. When he was finished singing the song including the high notes the doctor said he shouldn't do he want back stage in severe pain and he lost his voice again but he had a week to recover between episodes because it was always a week between episodes. You can see him sing it with a healthy voice at the Bastau concert.

Dimash said he lost his voice immediately after singing that song and leaving the stage in a later interview. He was soo worried about not disappointing the person who wrote the song that asked him to sing it and everyone else in the midst of his own health crisis. He truly love and serve his gift in a selfless way... soo much humility and humanity.
The video shows him with his family also because he said his family is his wealth, and that there were no words written to express his love for his grandmother.
As the 1st son who was given to grandmom at a young age from his mom...which is said is a family/country tradition.
I'm sure even he couldn't imagine losing any family members, this is maybe why this song was even more emotional. Everyone has the seem reaction to this song because everyone can identify with possibly losing someone and being left alone.

Since I know how he has sung this song later in his Bastau concert when his voice was in good condition, I can hear how much difficulty he had while hitting some low notes with his breathy voice. Although he was advised not to hit high notes by the doctor, he did, because he would like to sing this touching song in a right way it deserved. As the result he lost his voice again after the performance. Please listen to Bastau version for your own pleasure later to see the difference.

Dimash said in an interview that it was a true miracle. He said that he shouldn't have been able to sing it. He said that he he didn't have his voice before and he didn't have it after but somehow, in the performance he did. He sees it as a miracle from God.

If I could give you 100 thumbs up I would. Amazing heartfelt reaction! Only one I've found that mirrors my own experience with this song and this performance. He sung it beautifully even thogh his throat felt like he had swallowed glass and he couldn't' speak without pain after. But when you hear the Bastau version of this song, you will realize how he had held back in this performance. Do go look at Dimashs Bastau version of Daybreak. It will amaze you. Han Hong (woman who wrote the song) adopted the boy. She has now claimed Dimash as her second adopted son.
