This game's fantastic in VR. I made my mum play it and the part where you're first attacked with the machete my mum screamed and physically ran right into a bookshelf at full tilt with the headset still on trying to get away and then layed their peeing herself. She freaked out so bad and momentarily lost her mind. Now she won't try ANYTHING

Everyone calling PSVR a gimmick are pc gamers and xbone fans. The psvr is NO WAY a gimmick! I been a gamer for 16 years and this thing is just epic! can't stop playing it!

Amazing game. As you progress through the game it gets better and better, the detail is in another world and playing it in the dark adds to the tension. It does make you jump and freak out a little but it's brilliant when it does happen.

I have this and the demo - When the chick's hands are around your eyes and is on your head, she stays in your line of sight and only closing your eyes will avoid her but other wise, u can avoid looking at everything else that happens in front of you.
You can turn the camera as far as you can turn your head because your head is the camera.
You can also close your eyes, while not moving at all.

I've completed it now! The worst part was the spider woman that jumped through that window at the top of the stairs, was creepy enough when you saw her long arm reach out and snatch the lantern you needed at the bottom of the hole in the floor 😂
The Kitchen demo is really awesome. Just got VR and tried it today...pretty blown away when the guy gets close to you and almost pooped my pants when she was standing behind him.
Would wish they could do something a little with the Anti-aliasing.
I think that VR's is ready for a touch sensory,like if the character that the players are seeing,they can feel it too. Imagine Slenderman embracing you or you running around after being chased by a monster character,you can actually feel what you are playing!!!

Started this at the weekend having bought a used VR rig. All I can say is amazing. Watching the screen doesn't do it justice. When you have the headset on and headphones you're there, not at all like playing on a screen.

RealSyntaxError no problem, there are a couple things you need to consider, which do you like more ps4/pc. For the best performance on ps vr you need the playstation pro, otherwise your graphics will take a hit on resolution.(if thats a problem) the rift is expensiver but comes with a higher resolution screen which makes the graphics look better. To me the ps vr is the better choice for price/what you get. Also if you get ps vr i recommed getting Resident evil 7 since this is the best vr game for ps4(1 year exclusive to ps vr)
I played VR for the first time 2 weeks ago. This was the first thing my friend made me play because he knew how much I play RE. The difference is that he had given me a vapouriser (also a first), before I started. I can only describe it as pure joy. It ended up being my friend who was freaking out how I was handling it so well.
I just wish he'd had PT as I never got to play it and I'm the exact kind of person who would've been able to push through PT in VR. Whilst melt-faced.

undrtakr900 It's actually the other way around. VR taps into the FAMILIAR sensory that you disassociate from video games - things you expect in reality, not on screen.
The fear in VR mostly comes from the fact that your sacred "personal space" is completely indefensible and the virtual objects have no qualms stepping into it.
You feel genuinely trapped in the discomfort zone, without the sanctity of your chair, desk, and room.

my friend's dad has ps4 VR and besides screaming i also had to pause once during this demo. All those scenes with knives in front of your face were the worst, I couldn't keep my mouth shut, I just felt its presence in front of me. I never thought VR can have THAT much impact on your brain, until I tried it myself. Those people were NOT overreacting
It's scary as hell even after I tried it thrice already. The one you see in TV is orders of magnitude so different from what you see when you wear the VR.
