For anyone seeing this currently (as this is a 5yr old video) this setup seen is about $60,000 new......ask me how I know lol 😢 that said I had a 3049 about 5 years ago and sold it. Needed more loader capacity. Got a JD5055E but was too big to fit under my 8' garage door and sold it for a Kubota L3560. Since got a skidsteer and added the JD 3 series back as its size is perfect for yard work as it's not to big to turn around or to heavy to mow with. Definitely add wheel spacers on the rear end though! I'd consider the 2 series from JD since I have a skidsteer as well, but they don't have a cab with AC on those yet.....it's 2024 after all!
man Courtney, I love your videos!! So thorough, so informative! I find myself going back to several of your videos to research and inform myself!! I hope business is good & you sell lots of tractors!! The content you provide for everyone is priceless!!
Cool! I've been looking at these. This tractor looked pretty big until he started walking in front of it lol. Is the cab quiet on these. I haven't test driven one yet but some of the other brands are a little loud in the cab.
I would almost sell my first born for this machine! The family would never see me, I'd be in that cab doing something, all the time.lol I'm not surprised it's already sold, I hope whoever bought it appreciates it. The difference in loader capacity between this unit & my 3005 is almost a thousand pounds, I'm curious how that much more capacity can be handled safely on a similar sized frame machine? Hi Rosie, you're looking good!!
🤣 Yeah, that tractor is so much heavier than the 3005. Heavier frame and axles. Larger hydraulic system, tires too. So, all those things added up get you to that point.
that is super cool that will be my next tractor i get i just got the kioti 3510 just a few weeks a go but i need a small one like this and this is just the right one
When I considered a 3320, one of the predecessors to the 3r series, I was told that it was virtually impossible to add a mid PTO to the tractor. Yes they could do it, but you had to crack open or split the tractor. Thousands in labor and then you have to add in the parts. I could be full of hoooey. I know it drove my buying decision to always look to ensue the mid PTO was already installed. I have heard that splitting a tractor is high risk of multiple trips back to the shop. Just trying to share what I remember from the PNW
I had it quoted for a customer on a 3320 cab tractor that was coincidentally shipped to a Seattle suburb. It was around $1,200 I believe and didn't require anything major. I've got the quote buried somewhere. Just some expensive parts and a handful of expensive John Deere labor hours to install.
Good Works Tractors, like I said, I could be full of a lot of hooey. I was definitely scared off. Bought a 2720 which had a very interesting feature that Deere wouldn’t own. I love my 3039r. I does so many things well and most importantly has leg room. I recently tried a cab and in the words of Archie Campbell, “I fidden dit”. Like stuff 50 lbs of manure in a 10 lb bag. Keep up the good work Do you still have your 3046r? Looked sweet. I don’t have all the bells and whistles......yet. Gnite brother
Not with A/C. I think of true factory cabs to be one that must be installed at the factory and includes A/C. The Mauser cab is very nice, but it's basically installing an aftermarket cab at the factory which makes it confusing. You can also have your local dealer install a Mauser cab on a used open station tractor. The same cannot be said with a ComfortGard OEM cab on the 3r and 4r Series.

I have been shopping for tractors, I like the Deer but a 1600 lb loader lift capacity seems pretty low on a 3039 compared to the other tractor brands dont you think? The RK and TYM 37 hp lift capacity is over 2100 lbs. Why is there such a difference? Also is the Deer aluminum rear end better than the cast iron? Thanks to anyone that helps with this topic.
You have to look at the specs closer. The 320R loader is only 1600 to full height, but 2125 at 59 inches, so its closer than you're thinking. Most of the tractors in a class have pretty similar lifting capacities, as its more a function of weight and stability than actual power.
@@Puckgrinder85 You'r correct. After further research and how i was treated at Dealerships, I went with Mahindra HST Cab 38hp. The Deer was just too much money. Plus the dealership wasn't very helpful or interested in my business.
Currently produced, it is the John Deere 3046r. There are some older, out of production models in the 4 Series from size that offered a mid PTO & belly mower option. Pretty hard to find though. Thanks for watching!
Jeez, nice tractor indeed. The cab is fantastic and looks just the same as large JD's! I have an open station 2036R here in NZ the equivalent of the North American 2038R. Any ideas why the tractors are different for other markets? Really enjoy your videos.
Probably a stupid question. Had a brain injury my right side is paralyzed like a stroke victim does John Dear do modifications like left handed operations and handicap grabbars?

@@GoodWorksTractors Cool, enjoy the 4052r while you can. Keep me in mind if you happen to come across a cabbed 4066r though. I might even pay a small finders fee for one in my own (Pacific Northwest) back yard.
I want one just can't afford it. This tractor come from northern Missouri or maybe southern Iowa going by the Sydenstriker dealer stickers on it. They have 13 locations total and after I had to deal with warranty issues with them I go 98 miles west for my needs to another dealer. Unless it is for a part I need quickly. John Deere is a great tractor but this dealer only wants to sell new equipment. This could be why this tractor only has 9 hrs on it. Sydenstriker's pissed off someone and they went to Kabota. I almost did. Or someone traded for new 10 year warranty at Sydenstriker's. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT WARRANTY! If they did. Please Note: Sydenstriker is the only dealer I would run from. I will still buy a John Deere just not from these 13 locations. John Deere was good about it.
Tough to paint with a broad brush like that about a company. There could be a lot of reasons for your bad experience. I quickly googled them and the first four locations all had at least 4.6 out of 5 stars. That seems pretty reputable to me. Just because that decal is on the machine, doesn't mean that's where it came from. Happens all the time :) Thanks for watching!
Base weight of the 1023e (tractor only) is around 1,350 lbs. Base weight of the 3039 (tractor and cab only) is about 3,600 lbs. However, keep in mind that there's larger tires too. So you have more area contacting the ground and spreading out the load. Think of it like how snow shoes keep you on top of the snow instead of sinking in. Similar concept. (I think, haha!)
Good Works Tractors some truth to that. And having both, the 3r is heavier. I drive over my system all the time. In the very wet times of the year, I avoid following the same tracks as the will compact even more
Hah.. yeah. Reverse the two numbers then add another $10k to it for the mower and options. If these were $24k new I wouldn't be using an open station 2032R (which was $36k after all options (loaders, deck, R3 radials, dual rear SCVs, etc)).
