Lovin' your videos man. Bridge Commander is the greatest Star Trek ship combat game. Watching these videos has inspired me to put want to together a new PC that will run the game and all of the available mods and add ons. Thanks my dude. Bye for now!
Love watching your battles. How about a G taking on some of those cardassian orbital weapon platforms as seen in the battle of chintoka? Keep up the good work.
A full third of the Sovereign's saucer section interior space must be taken up by batteries and EPS for it to be able to fire the phasers with 70% of the ship missing holy crap
I would say that's a victory for you since the Excelsior was basically split in 2 and had nothing left to do. If it was the Galaxy class ship, I woulda thought otherwise. Because the Galaxy class has saucer separation and could still take a beating. However, if it were the Sovereign class that was still remaining I would've been skeptical as to who might have won. When it comes to the Sovereign class, that ship was basically built as a battle ship to fight the Borg. But in this case, the Excelsior was the final remaining ship and that's basically a victory.
@@RetroBadgerGaming I just found a copy of Bridge Commander Maximum Warp edition, as standard it has some mods already installed but I think they might be out of date. What mods and patches would you recommend for a clean install of BC?
These engagements seem confused to me: I would concentrate all my weapons attacks upon the greatest threat till it no longer could fight (I would not need to destroy it). I then would proceed to the next. The last three likely would be of little consequence.
The G against a Scimitar is a fair fight..... aslong as they're both AI controlled. Once players are controlling then it's down to the ability of the player
WHAT the hell happened one on one fight of course Enterprise G is going to win ; BUT i am sure if ALL the other Enteprise ' s worked together they still would not be able to destory Enterprise G , but still inflict some serious damage , .
The G is a powerful ship for sure, but I just downloaded the F and I’m liking the firepower on that one, to me having both photons and quantum torps makes it a little more interesting in multiple ship battles
@@RetroBadgerGaming not sure what you mean, right click for regular, and scroll button for , I think advanced quantum’s, The little white ones ,, great velocity on those, But the armor doesn’t even compare to the enterprise G
I thought you were going to try taking them on in the 1701-G from Picard. Like what kind of cloak and dagger BS would you have to pull to accomplish that, even 1 on 1
Look at it this way, G obviously won against all of them at once. Well, "lucky shot" might also apply by the AI running those ships being a bit of a dipsh^t. When fighting enemies in a game, a game, use moronic bully tactics. Ironically, it's the smartest way. Attack weakest to strongest. That way, you lose the number of attackers the fastest. Their group damage potential drops the fastest that way. You are brilliant in how you use your ship facing and know how those AI ships never realize what you are doing, apply that logic here my friend.
I learnt something from your weakest first tactic. As I'd stated in my comment, I first would eliminate the greatest threat, for its risk of greater harm and consequence. I expect the original, the -A, and the -B would prove negligible or even irrelevant against regenerative shielding. What do you think?
@@DavidRLentz You are assuming that the weakest is a synonym for irrelevant. My friend, that's the most common mistake literally everyone does. It assumes that in every battle that every target is taken out easily with a low cost and that once taking out the hardest targets you will always be just peachy, that mopping up the support would be like sweeping debris out on the way out. All throughout history, superior forces were often finished off by the "nuisances" they ignored when engaging the BBE after they defeated the BBE. Trying to take out the biggest threat first is even the most common tactic in instinctive tactics of the animal kingdom. Tactical people depend upon people thinking that way. I get it, in the head-to-head ship-to-ship thing, you want your early strikes to be the most effective. Strength measuring is very relevant. But, if a bunch of ships equal yours... you want to reduce their collective numbers as fast as possible so the surviving weaklings don't kill you after you defeat the BBE. So, sweep away the weakest. The group loses its advantage of constant harassing you when you take on the BBE. And, after defeating the BBE, nobody can spit-ball you into defeat after you win. It's the tactical version of being dollar smart by being penny stupid.
Sovereign: "'tis but a scratch!"
You blew both nacelles off the E, and cut a hole through the middle of the saucer AND destroyed the bridge and it was still attacking LOL

Not sure how this logic works, since it took out a Sovereign class, with 4 other ships also firing at it.
