The hotel and the house itself is evidence of European history. A history, which is carefully preserved every step of the way. The furniture, the artifacts and not to forget the ceilings. So wonderful, everything flows together to an oasis of relaxation and inner happiness despite hardship during certain times. Lovely.

I enjoyed the elegance of this hotel inside and out. Every spot you showed was a good spot to just sit and enjoy. My favorite spot was sitting at the top pool location viewing the mountains. You really did great showing this hotel. As always I look forward to the next ventures. Wheeew!!!

This video is special because you have panned your camera by night as well. Lake Como after darkness is something to die for. The red and white theme of the hotel looks very chic. The three massive pools are a picture of grandeur. What a place to go for a honeymoon. Since I visited Varenna, Como and Bellagio last May, it feels good to watch this video for the simple reason that I feel nostalgic. Continue to feed us more such glimpses of magnificence and richness. Thank you doc.

My new wife and I have been unable to have a honeymoon due to the current unpleasantness. This place fits the bill perfectly. I just hope it will be as quiet in the summer of '21. It looks simply stunning.

I have been to this hotel with the love ❤️ of my life. We travelled all over the world but this hotel & this trip was exceptional & the best of the best specially the souvenirs that melt my heart. It was my best stay. Thank you for this video to remind me my best souvenirs on may 2009😢 it’s like yesterday I remember all the details.

I stayed at the famous Villa D'Este in Lake Como. It was absolutely incredible and I feel so fortunate to have had that experience.

Now this is how you do "Grand Hotel." It's like stepping through time. I half expected to see the cream of pre-World War I society swanning around the lobby in their magnificent dresses with white gloves and giant picture hats. And the men in morning suits with claw hammer coats, top hats, gold watch chains dangling from their waistcoats and white spats on their shoes.

Lovely hotel and beautiful gardens. How nice that you had a balcony to enjoy in addition to your hotel room. Strawberries, chocolate and wine works for me! The restaurants looked fabulous. And the views--Lake Como is on my bucket list. I did think it was strange that the main pool in the lake had those big white pillow things instead of proper lounge chairs. Your filming skills have become quite exquisite, Dr. LTE :)

What a beauty.
I sadly was one of those people who did not have a good stay at GHT. I visited for 5 days back in July 2018, After the hotel hosted the Dolce and Gabbana fashion show. The hotel is gorgeous, the pool is amazing and the food absolutely delicious but the service was really subpar. First, one of the rooms we booked became “unavailable” when we arrived so we had to find my cousins accommodation 10 mins down the road from us. Second after corresponding with the concierge months before hand regarding our private tour of Milan and the reservations to visit the Last Supper I was assured all was booked and taken care of. When we arrived at the hotel and I spoke to with the concierge regarding our day trip they had no idea what I was talking about and nothing was booked, and I even had emails to prove that I was told everything was taken care of. They told me the person who did my planing no longer worked there and that everything was lost. (That would never happen at 5* plus ever) it was mishap after mishap.
Don’t get me wrong the hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the amenities are great, but it’s extremely expensive, especially when you book suites and you assume there wouldn’t be any issues at all.
It was a also nice seeing this vid and the hotel being relatively empty. Usually Lago do como is filled to the brim with American tourists (myself included lol) and Tremezzo was beyond packed when I stayed.
It was very quiet at the time of my visit (I assume because of the pandemic)

I’ve stayed here once. If I recall correctly it used to be in the Excelsior brand but never in Sheraton? Anyways, it was one of the greatest 3 days of my life, the hotel is unique for its good service which is not abundant in Europe. The building itself should be deemed a historical landmark and everyone who studies hotelier visits this property once in their lifetime
