For those of you curious about recoil smoothness, contrary to what Ace said in his recoil breakdown, recoil smoothness does have an effect. It basically reduces randomness within a recoil pattern, such as random gaps between shots, hence making the recoil more "smooth".
I'm suspecting that the smoothness in the recoil pattern that you see on the wall is coming from another mechanics, like randomness to the view-kick magnitude. Kinda feel like it matters when the target is moving.
@@HeartTribe i think a lot of others would rather we get stated stats instead of having to figure out exactly what each attachment does, there’s really no reason to not have them. They were great features in CW and VG

There is definitely an appeal to having so many different attachments so you can customize the gun exactly how you want it. When gunsmithing, I keep this in mind. The muzzle is the best attachment slot for recoil reduction, the underbarrel for aiming stability, the laser for general handling, the stocks benefit more for movement (ADS movement in particular), and everything else is a bonus. Most barrels on most guns are pretty much pointless, or the cons outweigh the benefits.
Not sure if this is an unpoppular opinion but I tend to hold horizontal over vertical. Due to the easiest way to fight vertical is to just pull down. Yet horizontal randomly goes leftor right. Not that I wont go for vertical but most of the autos will be lasers with some good horizontal recoil control and just pulling down.
Vertical can help with the jump on the first bullets that some weapons have, and help you get the kill on the first bullets, before the horizontal recoil kicks in.

Even if IW isn't gonna give advanced stats, this could have been 100 times more easy to understand if they actually put in their attachment descriptions the fact that some muzzle devices help with 1 type of recoil more than the other.

If I had one request it would be to do some WZ stuff. But the sniper rifles, like the 50 cals and explosive ammo. Its supposed to one shot with a headshot but I haven't seen any information on what exactly the explosive ammo really does.
Even if IW isn't gonna give advanced stats, this could have been 100 times more easy to understand if they actually put in their attachment descriptions the fact that some muzzle devices help with 1 type of recoil more than the other.
Would love to see a video on which suppressors are good for longer damage range and bullet velocity for DMZ and WZ
Thanks Ace! This is super helpful.
Can you create a video about TAQ-56 that PRO players use in CDL? Or you are prohibited on doing it?
For real, that would be sick
This was the deepest of dives!
Yes! No more picking muzzles by name and shape!!!
Great video, especially the muzzle recoil scale! would love if you added that to the grips!
I think the scale is very useful.
Certain guns play OK with a ton of vertical recoil, but the horizontal really hurts the potential.
Great job
Would love to see deep dive on the master key and 40mm grenade launcher attachments. Would love to see the underbarrel flamethrower attachment (from BO1) make a return in this game.
I'd like to see how much or how little suppressors help please
i love it if they would have gave us the numbers behind the attachments cuz we have been just putting something on and shooting with it to see if it helps at all not knowing that they help in several different ways
Great video brother!
Muzzles having more impacts than barrels is crazy
