Always good to hear Doc is out on the water AND he is in remission 🙏 Wishing all the Jiggin Jerk people a happy and healthy holiday season! Peace and good health! 🙏🎣🇺🇸
Great video John always love watching. . Great season start to finish. You're an amazing fishermen obviously and I've learned an awful lot watching all your videos . Yours and skinners videos actually got me back into fishing from when years ago as a kid ,and I've completely fallen in love with it again. Thanks for that and all the hours you put in doing it. Its appreciated
Hey John, hope you had a great season and Happy Thanksgiving (belated). Doc, hope all is well. My son Charles and I had a great fluke and Tog season, albeit we didn't get the boat in the water till August after putting a new transom on the boat, (took me 3 months). The boat will be up for sale next spring as I am currently looking to move up to a 30 + boat, used of course. Our tog season ended the 28th. I hooked into a monster on our last trip out, fought him up out of the rocks which chaffed the leader I was using, I have a PB of 13 lbs but this tog was way bigger, my son was ready with the net when the 40lb fluro broke just out of range of his reach, I was heart broken as I watched it swim back down jig in mouth. Total was over 50 keepers up to 8lbs, with as many shorts, We had fluke up to 9lbs fishing Rhode Island. We are headed to FLA on the 21st to spend Christmas with my grandson and family, can't wait to hug those 2 great grandkids. Happy Holidays. Hope to see you next year on the water. Stay safe and Healthy, Jay
Jay!!!!! Wow on the big tog. Seems to happen every few trips with us that there's one we can't stop that breaks us off. Have a great Holiday and New Year and enjoy Florida!!!!
Looked like yet another nice Tog trip John! I missed getting out Black fishing this season. Happy Holidays to you and all of your fishing buddies! 👍👍🐟🐟🌲🌲
John- I know you have your own rod that you promote. But I came across a rod that may be an affordable option with a similar action for this type of fishing. What do you think of the Shimano GLF?
@ he's as annoying as ever and doing great. With my charter schedule, I barely fished with him. I think Skinner didn't fish with him as much as usual and the ocean fluking sucked much of the year so even when they did fish together I'm not sure many of the trips made it to video.
@ OK that’s what I thought. I’m gonna wait till it comes in. Have a great off-season. No more two-stroke smell for me. Re-powering with twin 300 Yamaha’s next month
Doc You are the Man, from one survivor to another, FISH STRONG 🙏🏻👍🏻

What a nice note. Thank you Josh!
Wow. You could really see the fish swimming off with your jig on this video. Very noticeable run off to the right. Great video.

Same to you Steve!
Great job, I missed the entire season. I hope to go next year.
RUN DMC ...my favorite Christmas song😂
Ha, in my top 3. Hate admitting it, but I really also like the Mariah Carey song and the 80s UK Band Aid Christmas song
Good work.
Nice work. About how deep were you all fishing?
15 feet
Hey John, do you charter in early spring for Blackfish at all?

I don't think I've ever used one. I'll check it out
On a boat that size how much current can the trolling motor hold?
I’d imagine not more than a couple of knots. We held find in that wind but did swing more than in my boat I think because of the pilothouse
@jiggingjerks thanks for the reply.is Rick doing okay I haven't saw many videos with him last summer. Hope he is well.

@jiggingjerks thanks for the update glad to hear all is well.
Rods are back in stock, John. I ordered mine on Monday. Is a 3000 series too heavy of a reel?
I like 2500 or 2000 for a better balance

@ congrats my friend! She's gonna fly
@ lol thank you. Just don’t tell my wife. I told her it was to save on fuel and two-stroke oil.
