- There was a problem with the illumination of instrument cluster on my VW Golf. I traced it to a bad solder joint related to 2 of the LEDs.

If the whole cluster is dimmed, not as bright as supposed to be at highest brightness setting, is that because of burned led bulb? The cluster is lit evenly. My mk4 golf cluster I s much brighter compared to my Jetta wagon.
Any problem with the immobilizer after pulling the cluster? Some people have problems with this.
I didn't have any problems. But, it is a 1999 MK4. I know the newer MK4s had some updates. The early ones are the oddballs in a lot of ways. Thanks for watching.

Hi. Are you talking about the info display that is typically in the middle? If yes, mine doesn't have that....sadly
