CHECK FOR CRACKS AND REINFORCE THE REAR SUBFRAME !!! most e46 and some e36 have tendency to crack the rear subframe SPECIALLY the higher power models as the m3.

I think the 4.6L 3-Valve Mustang V8 from 2008 would have been a better fit for this beauty. In terms of sound, weight, and fun usable power. Upgrading to forged internals including a cross-plane crank would really add a special touch.

Cool build, but if someone wants an exact replica, just buy the retired racecar, strip the original livery and put the NFS one on it, and you're done. Since the in-game model is the literal track only race car, not a rebuild M3 GTR street version.

The ls1 balancer is known for failing, when you get the chance swap it for a ATI harmonic balancer just to make sure it doesn’t fail

It should have been a flat plane crank v8 to make it sound like the real one. Also no supercharger, but straight cut gearbox.
