Great to hear your positive vibes about the bike! It has caused a stir, however I believe that HD are making some good moves. It will be interesting to see what the next Sportster release is. ✌️
I haven't had an opportunity as of yet to ride one but they do look like fun. What I mean is to throw it around a bit....that being said by a guy that raced Flat Track back in the 70's. Everyone gets a little something different from a bike and a ride!! Enjoy Brotha!!
I have not had the opportunity to test ride one yet, but I did get to sit on one at Smokey Mtn HD in Kodak, Tennessee. The bike just feels really good. I’m sure they ride nice. Thanks for the info. Ride safe!
It's a great bike. When I bought it I really didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you very much for watching! I appreciate your time today!
Yeah I’ve heard the same thing from my buddy that has one. I guess it lives up to its name! Glad you’re happy with buying it. I can remember buying bikes that I regretted later. Now I just don’t have the money to get a newer bike. 🤙👍❤️💯 I agree keep it original!
Thanks man. So far the bike has exceeded my expectations. Mostly, only good things to report back to everyone. Thanks so much for your comment. I appreciate your support for the channel!
This bike is a beast! I have kept it in street mode for the winter with cold pavement and just this past weekend while 80 degrees I poked the button again! Oh yeah, it was fun! Funny you mention the shifter. I have never been a heal fan other than to hit neutral. But I find that my foot has to be positioned perfectly to toe shift this. I think it is because the pivot location is too low, shifter is on the short side, and there is a pretty long throw to lift the shifter to hit the next gear. I think someone can do better with an after market shifter. Other than that have loved all 2500 miles I have put on here and looking forward to more improved weather.
Greg! It’s great to hear that you are enjoying the Sportster S. So far the bike has really exceeded my expectations in just about every way. Those forward controls and shifter just add to the fun for me. Thanks for watching. I hope you have a great day!!
Hahaha I think you and I are experiencing the same thing right now man. Light weight power rockets and with it being cold we aren’t trying to trek long distance, so the miles are going on the around town bikes. Hope to ride the Sportster this summer. Keep on keeping on man.
Yeah man. I hope you get the chance for that demo ride. It’s so much fun. I’m hoping that ride it to the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway once the weather warms up a bit. Thanks for watching sir!!
Looking forward to riding on soon. Demo truck is gonna be in the OBX in April for Bike Week. Last year they had a Pan America so, I hope they bring a couple Sportsters this year.
Oh man. I so hope my local dealership has a demo days soon. That is always a fun day of riding motorcycles! Thanks for watching. I appreciate your time.
I am not crazy about it, but then I am a traditionalist. But I can understand how you feel. I have a 87 FLHS with a 150K miles on it and love it. But I just sold my 92 Sporty and bought a 97 Superglide, I am crazy about this bike it is great. Ride safe buddy.
I see your staying under 50mph, I’ve had mine for about two weeks and I feel that I’m going to blow off the bike over 50mph. I do have the wind screen made for this bike on order and am hoping that helps. Also I will be looking at full face helmets this weekend. Overall I love the bike and have been getting a bunch of comments and thumbs already with just a few rides in.
Hey Steve. Man, I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for the windshield. I've had it on order since I bought the bike. The last time I checked it was going to be mid-April before I will receive it. If you get yours before then be sure and let me know what you think. Thanks so much for your comment. I appreciate your support for the channel!
I got lucky and got one back in October. It makes a big difference! doesn't look like it would but does move much of the wind up high enough to make 80-85 MPH on the highway tolerable for extended periods of time or at least as long as I can go before needing gas.
I have a birthday coming up in July and I told my wife I'm going to get a new bike for my birthday. She said ok, and I planned on just buying whatever it is and keep other bikes. As of two days ago I am strongly considering trading in my 07 Heritage for it (Sportster S) or the GSXR-750. Enjoyed the demo ride a couple weeks ago.
Hi Allen! The first time I took a Sportster S demo ride I knew I had to have one. That’s going to be one awesome birthday present! Thanks for watching. I appreciate your time!
Hello Ty! I recently bought Sportster S. Its first and only one sold so far in Croatia :). Love your videos. Jesterday I ordered Sundowner seat. Did you try it?
Hi Peter. Very cool man, I just love this bike. So much fun. Congratulations on your new Sportster S and thank you for watching and supporting the channel!
Hey Brian. Same with me! I really like the look of it. I don't think it's bad at all, but whatever...Most people seem to not like it. I really appreciate your comment. I hope you enjoy your Sportster S too. Thank you very much for watching!
@@TyFromTennessee Great channel. Question, do you have recommendations on tool kits for Sportster-S? Once I clear the 500 mile break in, I'm looking to do some distance riding, but need a small tool kit to take along, but not sure of legacy H-D tool kits work for Sport-S.
I’ll probably be going with the TBR tail tidy, mainly because the license plate will block the road grime and rain off my back. I have dirt on the back of my HELMET after even a damp day, and I’m no “fair weather” rider like most of the dudes that own Harley’s
@@brianbraden2697 You bring up a great point and one that I should also look into. Some type of small emergency tool kit for the tail bag is probably wise. I'll see what I can find out on that one. Thanks man.
Ty really enjoy your videos neat hearing different ideas and opinions.I for one can't wait to receive tail tidy been on order bout 2 months as well TBR exhaust. You aren't a kidding this bike is quick.I don't hate the tires but a little smaller I think I would have liked better. The scout bobber I sold to son might have slight advantage cornering because of that however, yours truly needs more seat time with Sportster S.Dont you see the 48 Sportster in these new Sportster S ? Anyway great seeing another great video from Ty in Tennessee
Hi Ty, as someone looking at getting a Sportster I appreciate your content and insights. One question; how tall are you? Just trying to figure out if my riding position will be very different to yours or if I can expect a similar experience to yours.
Hey there! I’m 5’9 and the Sportster S fits me well. A little stretched out but ok. If you buy one I’m sure you’ll love it. It’s a fantastic motorcycle for sure. Thanks for watching!
Hello Ty ! I am 6’4” tall. Do you think Sportster S would be a good choice for me ? I haven’t got a chance to test ride one yet but i’ll definitely do. Just wanna have your views on that. Thanks
I'm 5"9 and the bike fits me perfectly. One of my best friends is 6'1 and he is going to test ride my Sportster S very soon so that we can make a video and he can provide his opinion for taller people. Great question and thank you for watching!
I don’t hate the license plate placement, can someone explain specifically what they dislike, I prefer the symmetry rather than it just sticking out the side
I really want an aftermarket exhaust, but my dealer is adamant that they need the tuning software to maintain my warranty, which may not happen for 6-12 months. Where it’s not a time-proven powertrain, any tips for dealing with the Harley techs anyone has would be appreciated!
I’ll ask my local dealership and see what I can find out. I’m really looking forward to after market exhaust too. Thanks for watching. I appreciate your time.
Ty, did you ever receive your windshield for the Sportster S?? I ordered mine just after I purchased the motorcycle November 2021, and still haven't received it!!....it just keeps on backorder!
Hi Kevin! No sir. Still waiting. The last time I heard my local dealership said mid-April so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Let me know if you get yours soon too!
My bike did not come with heated grips. You have to purchase those separately and install them. That was a big bummer for me because when I bought the bike I incorrectly made the assumption it was standard. If you get them be sure and let me know what you think! Thank you for watching!
Looking into the sportster s but haven’t seen anyone post any info or experiences with having a passenger on the bike? This isn’t meant for passengers all the time but if I wanted to take the wife for an occasional ride how is it? Thanks!
Hi Jon! I won't be doing any 2up riding since my wife doesn't ride anymore, BUT I do have a recommendation for you. Check out th-cam.com/users/ChrisKrewz if think he has some 2up videos. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
@@TyFromTennessee Thanks man! I checked him out and I think it’s doable for short rides when she’s wanting to ride! Road glide will be my retirement bike 🤣

Waiting for this stuff to come out will be the hardest part. How about putting that quick shifter on there? That has to be coming soon.
