- #Sororiteatalk My thoughts on "no solicitation" for membership and the workaround it. No solicitatioin for membership varies by organization so make sure you check your organization's website. Solicitation is not accepted by every organization.

Kels you are very knowledgeable about the NPHC, and I enjoy watching your videos. I am in my 20th year as a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated! Keep up the great work in leading others "to the light" of their desired organization. Happy New Year! 1906/1922
Thank you!
i have an informational meeting tomorrow! even though they haven’t said if there will be an intake this semester or not, im trying to gather all my paperwork my applications in advance just incase. thanks for your videos
Fingers crossed!
How did it go?
Thanks so much for sharing!
The hardest thing I have been dealing with is not knowing anyone active in the local graduate chapters and the chapters having absolutely NO events or options to get to know members. Whether thats community service or just anything. It feels like I was stuck in a hard place. It's very frustrating. Should it really be this hard for graduate chapters?
Everyone has a different experience so you'll hear mixed information. My recommendation is to use the organization's website to find a point of contact. If you can't find someone in the chapter, go up the chain of the command and send an inquiry to the next person in leadership.
Are you following their social media? I feel like people are under the impression their sorority of interest isn't having events but IMO business is still being conducted.
@@sheabutta5425 Yes, I follow the social media. They only post about reactivation and chapter meeting reminders
Are they a small chapter?
@@mamiofda716 There are 2 and one is big and the other is small
♥️
Questions❓ what if a person is partially disabled do you accept that person and you all organization? How would you look at that person any different than or normal individual?
Each organization has a discrimination policy. I recommend reading your organization’s membership requirements where it is listed for reassurance
Hi Kels! For the last 2-3 yrs I have been following the grad chapter that I’m interested in joining. I’ve been attending every public event that I can and building relationships with 5-6 of the chapter members. I’m really hoping to get “the invitation” call or email! If and when I do, what’s the best way for me to respond? Is it okay to be excited 🤪 or should I play it with more control and sophistication? 😊
It's okay to be excited, but maintain your professionalism. Treat it as you would a job opportunity.
Questions? What is a person is partially disabled would you all allow them to participate in the intake?
The chapter provides the membership process during formal rush. If the person has issues that may interfere with their learning, then they should communicate it at that time with the membership chair
If a person is partially disabled would they be allowed to participate in the intake?
