Thank you my dear Oddites for still
being on my journey with me - bear with me, I just wanted to see if
the viewers could become more involved with the story, hearing it
over a few nights (or days)
Does the attention span start to wander
with a longer video? I would like to know. Anyway I thought it would
be fun to have it like the old periodicals where there would be
    instalments of a story.
Thanks for your WONDERFUL feedback on
part 1 - these episodes were a lot of work, but you my friends are
worth it, and I know you appreciate it. Hope you enjoy! Bless you :)
PART 3 (the final chapter) …TOMORROW!!

ObsoleteOddity #1: I don't think people lose interest with longer videos/stories. #2: sometimes ppl do enjoy "to be continued" plots...it gives us something to look fwd to and reasons to keep coming back for more. #3: if you aren't reading the story, I can imagine the attn span going faster than when you make it easier by reading to us...which I really like!
I personally like longer stories that I can listen to while going to sleep at night, like adult story time 😉 keep up the lovely work!

ObsoleteOddity I believe this works better for stories that cannot be found elsewhere, such as this one! But for something that is public; can be found on the internet with a bit of research, it wouldn't work as well. For example, I would want to find out what I could as quickly as I could. Also, if I didn't, somebody else would post the link to the story:/

I most definitely believe Oddie's childhood home had unseen inhabitants. But his description of being unable to move in his bed sounds like sleep paralysis.
I've experienced it a few times, and it is quite terrifying!

I absolutely love the story coming in parts!!! It builds up anticipation about what's going to happen next. Your such an awesome narrator and your voice is so lovely to listen but it's also very appropriate for this story. As usual I simply love and am amazed at all the wonderful pics and of course all of your little additions that make the pics come to life. The steam in the tub an bubbles in the bathroom pick really stood out when u were telling ur story. Many thanks for sharing this with us. I can hardly wait for the conclusion tom!!!! Thank you again my friend. Your hard work and effort to bring these videos is truly appreciated and loved!!! Till tom my friend take care. Can't wait!!!!⭕❌⭕❌☺❤💕

I have had a similar experience when I was renting a room in east London. One night as I was trying to sleep I felt a slow decompression behind me on my bed as if someone had sat down, it then lied down next to me and and I felt the pressure change on the pillow. I was petrified, and i had to psych myself to jump out and turn on the light. I immediately flung my door open as I felt trapped, but looking at my bed I saw nothing. I slept that night with the main light on and the door wide open, the next day I moved my beds position and it never happened again. I'm so intrigued to hear the rest of your experiences Mr Oddie!

Loretta Vamperetta This has happened to not only me but my husband and housemate as well. Seattle, Washington. We had three cats. Two disappeared, probably taken by wild dogs or fox in our area. After Spirit disappeared I felt my matress depress. Usually when I was falling asleep or early in the morning. A friend staying over felt a cat settling on her stomach! Assuming it was Spot our remaining cat she put up her hand to pet him. Nothing there. My husband had similar experiences, several times.

nina menon I'm sorry to hear about your two cats 😔 I hope it was one of the cats spirt sitting on her chest because it returned home, however if the other experiences felt larger and heavier then unfortunately it's probably a human spirt. I recommend you move the bed because it may be a memory enactment. If not then try blessing the room. Kind regards 🙂

    • @ninamenon
      @ninamenon 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

We didn't mind it. Spirit was the name of the cat! No way to keep him inside. He was a wild one. His sister Yannu was indoors, unfortunately a friend left the front door open and she slipped out at night. So sad. I think the visits were to come back to where they were warm and well fed! Spot lived for 19 years. They were "snowshoe Siamese siblings, rescues.

I do like the installments, it reminds me of Mystery Theater on the radio in the 1970's when I was a child hiding under my covers at night. At that time I had constructed an A.M. radio from a Heath kit. I am from Comfrey, MN. U.S.A.. Sometimes the anticipation of a story is what makes it more scary, interesting. Thank you sir, I always await your next installment no matter the subject. If anyone can remember, who was the narrator for the radio Mystery Theater in the United States in the mid 70's? M Was it man with the last name Marshal?

The suspense - what a cliff hanger! - Oddie I JUST LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! Please don't ever change your very particular style of storytelling - it's so individual it's superb - the subtle nuances of incidental animation & SFX in the stills - and the pix SO UNIQUE & charming - enthralling. You blow the socks off other would- be ghostly channels. Big (((Hug))) and thanks for all your wonderful work. I miss it when there's a gap in Oddie's offerings! :)

I love the instalments and you did such a great job on the video !!
I can relate to this so much.To this day at the house I grew up in the upstairs is still very active.
My elderly Mother still lives there but the ghost activity seems not to bother her at all as far as I know. There was an incident, however, last year that got her attention. The only full bathroom at the time was upstairs. No one in the family has slept upstairs in over 20 years now. I was taking a bath with my IPhone blasting music,as always acutely aware of being watched, finished my bath, unaware of anything unusual occurring.I went back downstairs(this was around 11pm) and my Mom and sister were terrified, asked me if I was alright.
I said yes, why? They both described how they heard a noise like someone was banging as hard as they could on the floor upstairs. They ran out of the house because they honestly believed the ceiling was about to fall in.
Oddie,I heard none of this. They did not believe me.Thats just a recent occurrence, there have been disturbances going on my entire life in that house but none of us got good ,deep sleep as children due to the nightly activity in the house. My Mom has slept downstairs for years now and when we visit we all do as well.

  • @sheer9805
    @sheer9805 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Back then when we were poor, our family used to turn off light every night. But now that my siblings are all grown up we keep light on in every room. One thing I notice is the disturbing sound only heard by a specific person of whom the ghost wanted to scare even if we all sat in the same room. Sounds like nonstop doorbell ring, knocking door or dining table and calling name. But not everyone in my house heard it.. The funny thing is it can even change tv channel! or switch off tv if anyone is watching tv alone at night as if it doesn't want us to stay too late in the living room. My parents said it is a woman ghost from the previous owner but they don't want to chase it out because it didn't do anything harmful..

Ohhh thank you for your usual stunning story telling and moody graphics.... so beautifully done..... as always!
I feel inspired ! I also bought an old cottage , and 'others' others continued to live there.... it was the most extraordinary and terrifying 18 months of my life. Currently I am nursing my mum, and am away from my home (not the cottage) and my computer..... but when i return, i feel compelled to tell my awful ghost story. I doubt it will be so beautifully presented.
In the meantime, I look forward to hearing part 3.... and thankyou :-)

This is awesome. I especially like that it is in 3 parts. I have looked forward to your videos all weekend. Your story is very familiar. I grew up in an old haunted house that had been around since the civil war here in the U.S. A lot of what you are saying happened in this old house. The only difference is we had 3 ghosts. Keep the stories coming. You are an original. No one else like you on youtube or anywhere else.

I can hardly wait for pt. 3.... I had many many things happen to me for the last 30 yrs... actually I thought sometimes I was going crazy.... My Mom is 85 & has lived w/me for 10 yrs. now...And all she could do was try & support me for what Ive been going thru... But she says she has never seen or heard anything.. Well... One night we were sleeping in her room... She has the south wing of my home. We've turned it into an Apt. for her... It was about 3 in the morning & I woke up & saw that all the lights were on & the TV was playing very loud in her living room... I shouted out...Mom are you ok.. Thinking she was up not feeling well..since she is a heart patient... when to my surprise she reached over & touched me & asked why was I yelling.. We jumped up & went to her livingroom...& all the lights had been turned on..even the light over her stove & in the china cabinet ..the ceiling fan was on hgh & the TV was blarring it was so loud... She said I bet a breaker through or something..go check your side of the house cause its all wired together... so when I opened the door..everything in my part of the house was dark & quiet... so now when I tell her that someone is here talkng or that things are moving around in front of me... She believes me... Believe it or not... She whatever or whoever it is also travels w/me.. iwhen I go to Arkansas to see my daughter.. & even when I visit Germany... I just felt lead to share this w/you...when you had asked before for experiences I was told not to write it.. By whom I dont know.. But this time.. I jst stated writing... Its strange how Im lead sometimes...as calm as I was...since Im use to things like this happening...so we turned off all the lights & TV & went back to bed....Ivehad so many things happen to me in 30 yrs.. that I could write a book...lol This skipped & I dont know why..

Sitting outside on my deck at 3:00 am watching this, when my hot tub next to me decided to cycle on!!
Just as I calmed down and started to laugh at myself, a stupid acorn fell from a tree and landed next to me!
Yes, I'm an idiot for watching scary stuff outside at night. But I actually don't scare that easily. Honest! I guess I am just on edge tonight for some reason.
I live in a nice neighborhood, but it is not immune to crime. I love being outside, and I'm a night owl, so that's why I'm outside at night. And I live alone. I am in the U.S., so I keep a...weapon...handy for protection at all times, which probably helps me to not be scared. However, there are some things that conventional weaponry cannot help you with! Lol!!
