718 should have a size smaller head the 5000. The 720 and up has the 5600 that’s wider and deeper pocket. 718 is the king thinning lol and will handle some larger stuff too
It’s just seems slow because he’s toting the trees off the deck instead of cutting them and throwing them straight down. I can cut 7 to 8 more loads a day with the wheel cutter vs track machine
Most wasn’t but that man thins in pine mostly in small stuff and haven’t cut a lot of big trees but everyone gets how it’s done lol. He will figure his sizes with seat time. He’s doing great so far

He’s only been in the cutter for only a few months but have been in the logging for roughly 20 years
