Having purchased the Epson ET-1810 recently, your video convinced me I have made the right choice. My previous printers have all been HP printers, but I have to say, the quality of their lower-priced printers leaves much to be desired. There was a time when HP were the 'bees knees' of printers. Like you Shawn, I cannot afford to splash out 6 to 800 quid on a printer, in fact I was hesitant to spend the £169 for the Epson ET-1810. I'm not a photographer or anything, but as a pensioner, I needed a 'reliable printer' that didn't cost a fortune to run. The fact that some cartridges cost 'more' than the actual printer you'll use them on is a 'rip off'. A bit like the fuel for a car costing more than the car itself. Great video Shawn, and the clip of St. Ives has inspired me to book a short break there.🙂Keep up the good work Shawn
I'm watching this review to be reassured before I purchase an ET 1810. Before placing an order I first read the user guide online and was surprised that one first had to fill the ink tanks from the bottles supplied. There was mention of a fill level, and the process sounded challenging to say the least. Why, I thought, can't Epson just supply the printer ready to print out of the box?
Hi, great video l, i was just wondering how does it print white ink when there is no white ink ? Its really confusing me as im about to buy a sublimation printer but keep hearing that they cannot print white on pictures lol
Nice photos at the start. 😁 looks like the smart choice to get your own printer for printing those high res images, having them printed by those shops can really hit the bank a bit. Cool share.
Which paper did you use? Glossy photo paper or Matte or Satin? Which type of paper do you think would give the best results. A lot of reviews are saying it doesn't print so well on glossy photo paper
Is there any cast on the B&W images? Quite often a B&W image from a non-photo printer can have purple huge to the image. I’m interested in printing B&W so these large ink tanks looks a good opt.
Haha why not pick up the camera and show us viewrs the prints side by side with both the ipad you had there and the reference one printed by that company so that we viewers can get a good grip on what to excpect from this printer? Instead we get to see you up close while you're inspecting the prints. This felt like a teaser and became a real cliffhanger. :D Well, thanks for this video still. At least I know now this printer isn't utterly trash for printing photos.
Seriously was not sure how to present myself. This was my first review on any equipment. I always learning and your point is totally valid. I need to plan my videos out and make them more viewable and understanding for the people watching. Thank you for watching and commenting. But this Printer is very good and print quality is brilliant.
@@shawnheppenstall3258 Yeah I really enjoyed the video, but it just felt like you left out the finale. :) I'm looking for a new printer for my girlfriend primarily. who also like printing photos so I was wondering if you can get away with a printer at this price range or if you get much more by also paying more... Or if you just get extra features for that money? This seem to be the only review of any kind of just this particlar printer. Buuut I still think it could be good enough even though it was hard to see the pictures you printed. So thank you! :)

@@cartmanbraahnd6660 thank you for watching. That is a confusing question and I don’t know the answer. I just let the printer do its magic lol.
@@shawnheppenstall3258 haha okay thank you for the reply mate :D

Why can’t my iPad find the printer?
@@chrisbarry6217 hiya. I use the Epson app. As long as iPad and printer on same network iPad should find printer via app ok.
First print test is black and white in a colour printer review!

I find it prints best on glossy paper
do make sure you print weekly the eco tank range do have the tendancy to ink dry in the head and it can be difficult to unclog.
Ooh, that is not good. I only want to print in colour very occasionally.
I'm having the issue for the past 2 days 😢 seriously regretting this printer

I never noticed any purple huge to my B&W images when I print them off to be honest with you.
Why don’t you show us the photos as well, you said that we would review them together.
But it’s just you looking and not showing us….
