I notice that killing Jabba isn’t on the list. That was a smart move. If Jabba had survived it would’ve caused many issues later down the line. Another smart move took place in The Force Unleashed where Vader and Palpatine use StarKiller to root out the Rebel leaders but Starkiller ends up giving the Rebels hope when he rescues the Rebel leaders. And the final smart move that I noticed in the extended universe was when the Empire was getting on its feet several of the clones that were still in circulation were training the new drafted soldiers, one of them was Gregor who was a little unhinged after the war ended. He’s the primary reason why the Stormtrooper’s aim is so bad.

If you think about it. The scene from Empire where Luke goes to save his friends was a actually a good decision. Despite Yoda telling him not to. Sure he lost his hand but at least he got to know who his father was. Which he used to turn Vader on the Emperor
One other smart decision that should have been on the list was Luke giving his new lightsaber to R2-D2 before coming to Jabba's palace in "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi." After Luke made his new lightsaber, he gave it to R2 for safekeeping before either of them went to Jabba's Palace. The revelation that Palpatine gave away information about shield generator to Rebels was actually easy to guess right from the moment any information ever came to Rebels in the first place. There is no way they could have found out about something so crucial without it coming from someone who was at or near the top of Empire as it was kept a top secret. It was kinda easy to guess they were going into a trap set by someone very powerful in the Empire. Palpatine was the natural guess.
There’s also Skyguy training Ahsoka to hold her own against human shooters. If not for that, she wouldn’t have survived Order 66, and the rebellion would have been less successful. And, Kenobi, Yoda, and Organa deciding to split up Luke and Leia before hiding them from the Empire. Not even Vader suspected he had another heir until the last second. And, there’s Echo (amongst others) hiding in plain sight by disguising himself as a Stormtrooper while rescuing Omega and the other Clones from Hemlock. And, there’s Kenobi replacing the trap message at the Jedi Temple with his own warning to keep the Jedi from coming home. Supposedly, it took the Clones a while for them to realize it was there.

Also enjoyed *Leai's little poo stain* after Luke swings her to safety. Death Star had no washrooms?
Ian McDiarmid is the only actor in history who first played an older version of the character and than almost 20 years later played the younger version of the character.
Considering how Palpatine's master plan lead to the destruction of not one but two death stars, his own apprentice, his own life, and the entire Sith order...I'd say it's safe to say ultimately all of his decisions were pretty dumb.
Sy-Snootles singing G sharp instead of a G. That was the signal for Leia to kill the guards blocking her path as she made her way through Jabba's palace.
Honorable Mention: Tenn Graneet was a Human male Imperial gunner who was master chief gunnery officer in the Imperial Navy during the Galactic Civil War. He was assigned the role of pulling the firing switch on the Death Star's superlaser. However, he thought it was only meant for intimidation purposes. But then, he pulled the trigger on Alderaan. In the aftermath, his conscience got the better of him, having seen that he committed mass murder. During the Battle of Yavin, he decided to purposely repeat the words “Stand by” to give the Rebel Alliance enough time to destroy the Death Star before he could pull the trigger on Yavin IV. While he did perish in the Death Star, he perished knowing that he redeemed himself.
Facts-Luke figured out that the Jawas told the Stormtroopers who they sold R2-D2 to. If R2-D2 hadn't fled that night Luke would have joined his aunt and uncle.
How was leaking information to the rebellion of smart move. It resulted in the collapse of the empire, the death of Palpatine and the destruction of the second death star.
The problem is the entire story leading up to that point to give the dillusional impression that what he was doing was heroic. Half the fanbase is so gullible. I wouldn’t be surprised if behind the scenes Rian enjoyed pissing all over our favorite series thinking we’d still love it 😤
Shooting first if taken seriously could still deserve #1. If Han had died they probably wouldn’t have gone, never saved the princess, and would have never had the falcon save Luke at the last minute
Disney’s sequel trilogy might have destroyed everything George Lucas did in the original trilogy, but you gotta give them credit for really building the universe and having projects like Rogue One improve George’s story

All that technology & no one could foresee what a brat *Anakin Skywalker* would be? My smartest decision? Not paying for anything after #3 (or whatever number it is) except for for Force Awakens. Also enjoyed *Leai's little poo stain* after Luke swings her to safety. Death Star had no washrooms?
Happy May the 4th
I think a lot of people don't realize that until 1999, a new hope was episode 1.
How about Darth Vader eliminating the emperor just the keep him from killing his son?
Ian McDiarmid is the only actor in history who first played an older version of the character and than almost 20 years later played the younger version of the character.
Awesome list 👌🖤 ♥️
I remember the audible gasp and applause when Luke disappeared in TLJ.
Proof that the last Jedi is unfairly judged
Boba Fett realizing the Millenium Falcon was attached to the star destroyer
Considering how Palpatine's master plan lead to the destruction of not one but two death stars, his own apprentice, his own life, and the entire Sith order...I'd say it's safe to say ultimately all of his decisions were pretty dumb.
Reading this reminded me of the opening of the third _Robot Chicken Star Wars_ episode with Palpatine's opening monologue.
I had no idea there were decisions that were the smartest. It's a good thing characters made these decisions.
0:23 misspelled R2
I never liked “Artoo”
Why
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!
Sy-Snootles singing G sharp instead of a G. That was the signal for Leia to kill the guards blocking her path as she made her way through Jabba's palace.
Order 66 is the highest IQ move in the entire Star Wars lore (or Palpatine's plans after death both in the EU and Disney canon).
Should of had the scene with Han putting Luke in the TaunTaun body to stay warm
Honorable Mention:
Tenn Graneet was a Human male Imperial gunner who was master chief gunnery officer in the Imperial Navy during the Galactic Civil War.
Happy belated Star Wars Day!
USE THE FORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I knew it! Palpatine is a lizard 0:16
I don't know why order 66 wasn't on the list. I'd say it's actually number one, probably the most ingenious decision in Star Wars.
Hiding in an asteroid field is the smartest decision.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Han going with Unrefined Coaxium? If he didn't do that Han is likely dead.
Artoo?
Seriously?
On May the 4th?
😮
That’s how people phonetically spell it. It’s even in the storybook retellings of the Original Trilogy my father had when he was a kid.
Do a video called failed radio pilots
You could also say R2 was responsible for the death of Luke's aunt and uncle
Facts-Luke figured out that the Jawas told the Stormtroopers who they sold R2-D2 to. If R2-D2 hadn't fled that night Luke would have joined his aunt and uncle.
The smartest decision was definitely the famous: "Somehow Palpatine returned"🎉
Artoo lol?
Nothing more scary than a smart villain
All picks in these are great
May the 4th be with you😃
1-10 everything Sidious did
May the fourth be with you
OMG it's Senn Voltaris!
Order 66 was literally the smartest thing in Star Wars?
Yeah ❤ the force is strong with this one 🥳
Han going out into the storm on Hoth to find Luke.
I'm still waiting for a Top 10 Greatest Star Wars Villains Of All Time even if we know who Number 1 is
How was leaking information to the rebellion of smart move. It resulted in the collapse of the empire, the death of Palpatine and the destruction of the second death star.
May the fourth be with you.
But beware, Revenge of the sixth is coming.
3:18 is the dumbest idea I've ever seen. Why didn't he actually just go there he would have gone down as a hero.
This video should have been a top 100.
Separating Luke and leia if the emperor ever found out if they were the offspring of anakin the story would be completely different
Ahsoka leaving the jedi order should be on here ;))
She would have never known what the republican citizens were truly going through, making her less open-minded than she turned out to be.
Im so proud that Rogue One is on #1 . Its the smartest star wars movie ever
Artoo not r2 what?
That's actually how it's spelled.
