its good that it doesnt change the numbering.... bcs of the ruling... you would be allowed to play more than 4 of them then, bcs they are restricted to their set number. In pokemon thats different... bcs the restriction is based on their name

I love that they're keeping the same numbering. Helps with searching for the cards as well while deck building.

I like they are keeping the old number. It’s like the number is the name assigned at birth, but the different art are like that person wearing different clothes

For those that don't play and only collect: you CANNOT change the serialisation number on the card, because that is the card ID, when you build a deck you don't check the card name (as there are multiple different cards of the same character), but the card ID to check for number limitation (maximum of 4 copies normally).
Changing that would allow you to run 8 copies of the same exact card.
I'm big on them keeping the numbering. I got into collecting the op tcg a bit later than I wanted to, and haven't collected a lot of the more popular cards due to large price tags, looks like a lot of the cards I don't have yet are being re-released, making it easier and potentially cheaper to collect.

LETS GOOOO glad there are straight up copy and pasted reprints for all these, while also adding holo and alt variants.
Now scalped/hoarded cards such as Queen and Katakuri (across the board, really) will drop back to a socially acceptable norm. Especially with people ripping to chase all the DON!!
I only hope the holos ADD to the guaranteed box spread, and don’t TAKE AWAY from guaranteed hits (like replacing Rares or SRs)
It looks so cool but if a "reprint" set is going to be like this im very hyped with OP09, it should be better because of the 2nd anniversary and what we seen in OP05. Just bought 5 boxes of prb01 and gone hard wiyhh 20 of OP09. Good luck for all ^^

I love this pirate foil. How does pokemon work with English, if Japanese goes from 5 to 10 cards, is it safe to assume English will be 12 and stay 12? It would be wild to give 24 cards.
i think all the regular cards have the pirate flag stamps on them and then the alt arts look different

No new numeration is needed, It´s a reprint and its easy to check when you need to get a play set. Only one code data to check all the variants.

More than a compliment since the tcg hasn't even done the master ball reverse hollows yet this is copied from Japanese pokemon packs, which is even better!

You referring to EB01? Not quite, but it depends how you look at it. EB had 1/2 the amount of cards, but served the purpose of trying to improve gameplay for worse decks (but like you say, they're selling it at full price). PRB has the full amount of cards and serves the purpose of putting more of the more popular older cards into circulation, but a lot of the cards are reprints of older ones.

This is honestly such a a let down. If I understand correctly, we're getting only existing cards, and the bulk of them have the same artwork and everything?
So are we only in this for the new donn and the CHANCE at a new art for an existing card? Until the pull rates come out, this seems awful :'(

It's a REPRINT therefore everyone knows before buying this, that it's just new artworks of existing cards. Except that sanji leader which is new. That's why there are lot of ppl eyeing for op09 realistically rather than this because again if you're not into new artworks then don't buy it, it's just that simple 😂
