That's exactly what I was thinking, getting both dog and cheese would be much better. To solve the structural issues the other comments are talking about, I'm thinking wrapping the dog in multiple slices of cheese before dipping it, or dipping it very softly in just the wet batter and then rolling it in a tray of grated cheese, then dipping it again in the batter and onto the potatoes and panko. Might just work as the dog would still be sturdy enough to hold the whole thing together while frying.

As a vegan, you are the one that comes off looking like a “B“ for attacking someone that calls out meat for being nasty. I’m pretty sure vegans are all about animal rights, and their intent is supposed to be about defending animals. You obviously don’t give a shit. A vegan saying that they “respect“ people for eating animals is literally an oxymoron. Easily my favorite episode so far between this and the chili cheese dog one. As a texan that used to go to fairs all the time this is my freaking childhood. I don't have the culinary expertise to make nearly any of the things he makes but I'd absolutely pay if he ever opens his own place. You should totally do some homemade pork'n'beans soon since you have all those dogs saved up!
Substitute the vegetable oil with rendered bacon fat in the batter and substitute the sugar with honey for an indulgent and flavorful batter. Also cook them in lard mixed with beef tallow in a 3:1 ratio. For an even better flavor and texture throughout, deep fry the hotdog before putting in in the batter. A few other variations you may not have thought of are. 1.) Use an apple corer on Kielbasa removing the center and stuffing it with Mozzarella cheese then batter it and fry. 2.) Wrap the hotdog with bacon and using a toothpick to hold it in place. Deep fry it and then batter it and fry again for a bacon corndog which pairs well with a cheddar cheese dipping sauce. 3.) Dice some jalapenos and add to your batter for a spicy version. Just some thoughts for a possible revisit. Love your channel and keep

I had my first Korean Corndog last year, and I literally cannot get over it. I want it so much.
I love the Korean version. Just ate one earlier and was tempted to go back for another
Josh is extending his little singing bits more and more I’m waiting for when he just breaks out into an entire song
Had a corndog the other day with squid ink in the batter and rolled in sesame seeds, standard half dog half mozz internally. Glorious
Pretzel dog is the pinnacle of the hotdog enclosed in bread template
"Add the wet stuff to your dry stuff, so your dry stuff becomes wet"
No clue why I laughed at this. That is all. Have a nice day.
Don't Worry, Your Not Alone😅
Josh got a bit of YSAK in that bit of the video lol
ok....
He is correct. I had this at a place in Atlanta last week and it’s seriously amazing. I didn’t get the one with potato, but I’m sure it just makes it even more amazing. It’s like a funnel cake wrapped around a mozzarella stick lol doesn’t sound that good, but it’s amazing.
Anyone who uses amazing to describe anything has the personality of a used condom.
I do my Korean dogs just a little different. I cut the dogs and cheese into smaller bits and alternate them dog cheese dog cheese...still great vid...
Like a dog kabob?
@Madison Jackson shish kadog
Yes you got it right, it is a rectangular prism. Also called cuboid :)
I love how you tell us 2 different measurements. Thank you
You should really make biltong, it’s a South African healthy beef jerky with coriander (it would make a really good looking b role)
Gross.
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 u sound mad aff
@@mukhirr1438
Yeah, meat is grody.
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 Bruh I aint gon cap I am vegan but I respect ppl who be eating animals because for them its food not for us tho U dont gotta be so rude ppls like u make Vegans look like bitches yfm
@@mukhirr1438
I’m not a vegan; I am a 30 year long vegetarian. And I really don’t give a crap about how you think I make vegans look. I have just much of a right as anybody else to express what I think.
And by the way, there are plenty of foods that don’t come from an animal that I think are gross too.
I bet you aren’t even a vegan, and I find it suspicious af that the very first comment you’ve ever left on this video was to attack someone for saying meat is gross if you actually were one (as well your second post of the only two comments that you have posted on this channel).
After this, I so badly need to see Josh make "corn on the cob but instead of the corn bone it's a hot dog" in honor of Jenna 🥺
You call the cob a bone??
Hot chicks love BIG weiners
@@Alexisdeitrich no, that’s just what it got referred to in the video
@@LostSoul6318. do you?
I want the Korean corn dog in my mouth immediately even though this is the first time I've ever heard of it
Dude, I was watching you on loudspeakers and then this 7:40 came, Thank you for everything Joshua, I will meet you again when I buy decent pair of headphones.
I literally turned my head away for 10 seconds while watching and THAT NOISE
As a korean, that looks pretty authentic good job dawg
a quick tip from a former fryer at a k-dog restaurant: you can actually squeeze the potatoes nice and tight to your batter so that you won't lose any potatoes on the coating and you batter should not be really wet
K-style almost always screams Leveled-Up💜
That closing music is my fave😁
Corn on the cob but instead of the corn bone, it’s a hotdog: something Jenna Marbles tried to do and I suddenly have the urge to see Papa Josh attempt it 😂
Edit - I’m afraid edited stills from this video will end up on the Reddit page 🙈
I thought about that, too! God I miss Jenna.
But I really need Josh to make 'Corn on the cob but instead of the corn bone its a hotdog' now.
@@Chiresia if he’s read this, he’s cursing us so bad honestly 😂
I thought the same too! 😭
I'm here because I bought frozen korean corn dogs for the first time today. I ate two in the evening, then another one, now another in the middle of the night. I agree it changed my life. I got out of bed for it.
bro, your channel is the best thing I've found on youtube this year. greetings from germany 👍🏻💪🏻✌🏻🇩🇪
The Korean one reminds me of Good Mythical Morning when they did the international hot dog taste test. Time to try making this at home!
I’m making brioche while watching this and I’m happy
Damn josh got some vocals! Imma need him to drop an album now
Alright so now we need the full drop of “hot like the sun” and “whisking by the water” on Spotify
hot like the sun
I haven’t been able to stop thinking about Korean corn dogs since I found out they existed, and I wanna try one so bad
I might actually do this, this looks delicious, Korean food is sooo good.
I'm sorry but I literally lost it when Josh called a cuboid a rectangular prism 🤣🤣🤣🤭
A cuboid is a rectangular prism
They're the same thing
You do realize cubes are also rectangular right
Guys I know, It just sounds so weird to me🤭
Geometry student approved☑️
Actually, Flour and rice flour are mostly used to make Korean-style corn dogs, which makes the corn dogs more chewy.
My home town is famous for having like a 3 foot corn dogs on legit a block of curly fries like legitimately shaped into a block it’s amazing
when’s the “whisky business down by the water” single coming out?
And, what's on the B side?
So, yeah. Just made the Korean corn dog this weekend and I understand now. Holy cow, I think I have to use this sauce for literally everything though. It's so good!
I am one of Josh's most fervent and loyal fans. He nails cooking techniques, and even after being a passionate home cook for almost 40 years, I always learn something from his videos. With all that said, what's with the proliferation of "All Things Junk Food, only Better" videos? His Sourdough Bread is now my go-to recipe so there still lots here for me. I'm not asking for Julia Child redux, but Corn Dogs? What happened to his killer home cooking for the everyday table? I'm just a loyal viewer asking for less Junk Food Squareoffs, and more of his skillful and great home cooking . . let the flames begin.
I agree. It’s just unhealthy food videos constantly
There are plenty of videos where he uses his skillful culinary techniques. These videos are for fun and for people that like food like this.
Do a But Worse, where you make "home" versions of really fancy food
Pretty sure he already does and calls it "but cheaper"
@@KatanaZeroEnjoyer oh yeah you're right
Where do the corn dogs and pretzels go on a ship during an emergency?
The Mustard station.

Are we just gonna ignore the beyond perfect performance we got at 1:55?
When I saw your comment I thought you were talking abt 7:40 :’)
@@Miiia2627 honestly, that one too though
Would be so cool if you could do some classic german Bratwurst, like a really coarse one thuringian style
I‘m from Germany by the way and I’m loving your videos since three years now
I adore corn dogs. I of course want so bad to have a Korean dog. Honestly used to think the little potatoe cubes where cheese...... and honestly they should be. Multiple types of cheese. Mozzarella on the inside, Feta maybe, on the outside. Now I will have to make these since you so generously provided ingredients and instructions.
I detect a special sort of glee every time Josh says "weiner". Proof that boys never grow up, they just get taller.
Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional. :)
Please do a but better for nacho fries!!
I love them, and you could do more than just those fries, like all the fast food fries since they are worth just one video. Please🙏🙏
Absolutely LOVE your spin on Corn Dogs. You had me laughing throughout the entire video.
❤😂❤😂
When I'm watching Josh's vids ...
When my parents enter my room 7:40
Josh, I'm still waiting on the day you make gumbo! Those corn dogs look amazing
I low key want to see a grocery shopping video from him. I think it’s be interesting to see what his staples are
7:48 "Corn on the cob but instead of the corn bone, it's a hot dog"
Josh showing us all that we don’t need to go to college to be successful by flashing off that Rolex on his wrist👊
You mean college...
I made these using this recipe (minus the potatoes and panko) and it was AMAZING!!! However, if you want more flavor, add more sugar, salt, or even some honey to the batter. Hell, even other seasonings! The cheese pull was great and I would make again.
2:18 just gonna leave this here 🤣
Making corndog at home? Amazing! :D
There are many kinds of corndog in Korea. I really love cheese corndog!!
